Nice job, that is impressive for one sub, keep working on your build brother. I haven't had subs for almost 20 years, just ordered 2 zvx 12 subs for my car.
I was hitting 142 at 30 on a single 12. Just got 2-15s just waiting for my box. Hoping to be around the 155 mark. Either way I’m super excited. I drive a Honda CR-V so our vehicles are about the same size so you have no idea how badly I want to do what you did.
Yes man I love the single sub it's super unique compared to other builds. To have a single sub wall is cool, just take it as far as you can. Who knows you might even set a new trend on UA-cam.
Hey man I hope u see this I am getting a car very soon.. couple months down the road.. I want lows .. 25 and below is my sweet spot.. love lows.. get me smilin more then people nowdays.. is it possible to get windy on a zv6 18? A 6th order tuned 45 and 20.. I like to feel the mid high(45 and below) notes in my chest and then everything shake at 20.. I'm on a budget.. taramps is my only option.. a md12k or a bass15k on lithuim.. on half power cuz ik for a fact a zv6 won't take 10k+ for long.. upgrades will be later down the road.. just looking to get to 150+ and float stuff.. nothing makes me smile more then that.. it's a work of art when u think about it man.. nobody will get between me and my creation :) I've been quiet for wayyy too long .. I have high hopes for this build to go well.. just need some guidance
Can I get a little walk around you box bro I have a x18 with noght shade soft parts and need to get a idea how to do my 4th order box it would be a big help Ty
This enclosure in the video is a 6th order. Also is your subwoofer built for sealed or ported? With your custom softies, you should ask who you bought them from, what type of enclosure would be best suited to your custom subwoofer.
@@evilinside5984 it’s definitely for ported but I was told a 4th would be better idk why I am asking you yours is very impressive and I am always gonna stick with one sub I just think the best way to set it up would be like yours but I have never seen but the part where you sun sets so the part it fires into is ported too where is that port at on your box I thought a 6th order the port had to come back into the other section of the box in your case the part with the motor but idk this is new to me I can build a killer box my box now is 5 cub after sun ported and it’s nasty but it’s not moving a lot of air it’s more loud then shaking like I want
What your sub will need for a 4th order and what mine needs for a 6th will be completely different. Also the nightshade softies are likely going to keep the FS of that x series very high after break in, so it'll typically cater more to peaky higher bass rather then low end. But a 4th will likely be good for that.
I had 4 18s in my Tahoe, but I got rid of them and I was going to try 2 18s ..... But you've given me Faith that I can just put 1 18 in there and have it be better than my four. I want to do more or less your same box idea but I have a 12 inch big ass port that I'd like to do behind my sub to make it a sixth order... What do you think about that idea does that sound like it would be okay.
That's a very big port, so wether or not it'll work well will all depend on what subs you use, and how big you can make your bottom chamber compared to that port. Do you know what kind of setup you plan on doing?
@@SingleSubScrub Zv6 18 JP63 2002 Tahoe with only the front seats so I have room for a lot I just don't know what type of ratio I need for that my 12-in aero port will go from 11 to 22 3/4 long. I cut out the top half of the seal, and filled with two tubes of windshield urethane, and covered in flex tape. Working really well for me and doesn't leak despite the abuse im giving it
@@SingleSubScrub awesome! I cant play below 33hz without my sunroof flapping everywhere 😂. When you say you cut the top half of the seal, do you mean the roof side of the rubber around the sunroof?
@@paxbabyy5453 yep that's exactly what I mean! The roof side of the seal around the sunroof. I carved it out and filled with tons of windshield urethane off Amazon. Before I glued my moon roof in place it flopped real bad 😅
@@SingleSubScrub haha man if i had been a basshead when i was looking to buy the car i would have opted for a car with no sunroof.. i have regretted that decision for a long time. Cant wait to get it done, its gonna eliminate all the rattle from the sunroof assembly too which it a plus. Gonna throw some d4s gorilla mat up there too. Also, crazy build man, 1 18 doing a 56 is awesome.
Hey man, so after checking out my sunroof its got a 2 inch layer of plastic around the edge then a rim of like 1/4 inch rubber after that. Do you think layering the adhesive against the rubber would hold decently?
For a taramps bass 8k? The zv6 will be louder but might get stinky. The rs team will likely have less output but take the power no problem. Really just you deciding if you want to cool off your sub fairly frequently or not.
@@SingleSubScrub hmm. It's usually over towards the center a little more. Maybe usaci n db drag are a little different. I thought they all were the same
I FINALLY got the 156+!! On to 57s 😎

Just found your channel, really love your content and setup man!!!
You make me want to go full bass rig with my truck so bad 😂 it’s insane how much you’ve gained from the original resilient 18 you had.
