You just witnessed a REAL man. He does his job to the best of his ability, helps others when he’s barely making $ off commissions, and still makes time for his family. Constantly putting others before himself. Men like him are a dying and rare breed.

My dad used to work for Roto Rooter as well. And what this guy did reminds me of the time my dad went out to an old ladies house because the heater went out in the dead middle of winter (he was gas certified at the time) and he ended up doing the work for free because she just ended up getting custody of her newborn granddaughter and my dad could not leave her and the newborn without any heat.

I know of a Plumber like this man in my area. There are times when he will not take payment due to customers financial situations. He's actually repiped homes with no payment. A very generous and just a good person all the way around. His name is Edward Robert's of Eddie's Plumbing in Oakhurst, Ca. . It's not often that we meet people like this in our area . So with that said I'd like to do a shout out to one of our area's most respected and a hell of a family man. With tons of love from all of us at Capitol pipe and Supply..you're the man Eddie!!

Until a few years ago there was a HVAC technician who did more than a few jobs at cost to no cost. When I was younger and getting through college he knew I was relatively handy and coached me over the phone on what to do step by step to clean off a sensor. Furnace kicked on within the five minutes or so. He insisted on taking nothing for the call. Sadly he passed away a few years back. For close to 25 years I would use no one else and sent hundreds of customers his way.

Works hard all day long, takes money out of his own pocket to help someone that doesn't have enough money for a plumbing repair, then after all that, he goes and spends hours every week coaching kids in basketball....we need more people out there that do this rather than worrying so much about that dollar, and more about helping others and getting the job done...as well as taking the time to get kids into something positively motivating.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. I promise, that's going to be way more fun to look at everyday", I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

What a stupid takeaway. The point is more if the employee is making the company no money then that's a useless employee, regardless of if he's a good person. The realization that he's still making sure the company makes money while helping someone makes him both a great employee and person. Stop taking a cynical view on everything, you have the opposite values portrayed in the clip.

SUCH A GREAT PERSON! I'm so happy that his employer didn't lay into him by lecturing him about losing money and the company not growing for his undiscressions. That shows how wonderful a person he is and possibly a fund can be set up where the company donates a portion of proceeds to those in need of repairs and can't meet the cost of those repairs. It is a tax write off for the company and a spotlight of good deeds the company does for the community and it's wonderful employees. ❤❤❤❤🌸👍.

Gray line ? Cast iron is heavy expensive stuff, add in the labor and tools and it comes up there. Maybe not 1200 but with his boss breathing down his next I'm sure he has to upsell to make a decent wage himself

Sounds like he got a lot more than that. 15 person van is already well above 10k then he got a raise that will likely equal out to way more than 10k within a few years. Most importantly he has name recognition to the CEO now so you already know that next time a promotion is in the water he gets a big leg up.

my dad used to "lend" money to a lot of people in need, nobody knew except me, as I was a very young kid and mi dad vented to me in this personal stuff thinking that I would probably forget it. Then in the year 2000 he forgave all the debt of all those people because he wanted to "start a fresh new century" but I knew that he knew that any of those people would ever pay him back because they couldn't afford it. He was, is and will be my hero. What a man.

His wife, my Aunt Effie Boyce didn't complain! Their son is Welton Boyce, Jr.
When my uncle passed, l said "Lawd, what are those poor people of Brinkley gonna do now!".

This guy is amazing nd his CEO has taken the time to go to the sharp end of his business and see for himself, just how good this guy was. Sitting in the office is NOT the way to run a business.
Years ago I met the owner of the Huge well known store in the UK called "Marks and Spencer". Lord Marks (as he was known) when I asked him, who's the most important CEO in your business? His reply shocked me, he said "none of them, the best people in my business are the girls on the shop floor-they deal with MY CUSTOMERS." says it all.

Mr. Henry -- Respect. And if you *ever* start having "imposter syndrome" and feeling like others will find out you're not perfect... That's ok. You're allowed to be human.
But keep doing the best you can each day. You're making a difference.
