My grandfather had a 1966 Le Baron. It was purchased in 1967 from a dealer who used the car as a demo. And being as it was a demo, it had everything on it. It was one big car, with a quiet elegance. I was too young to ever drive it, but my dad had several opportunities and said for a big car, it as very easy to handle. Along with all the critter comforts, it also had the dual A/C system that, from what I heard, included the ice maker. It would get the interior rather chilly. My grandfather passed away November, 1971, and on the day of his funeral, my uncle, his son, drove that car to his service. My mom and I each were teary seeing that gray sedan on the road. Quite a piece of Detroit Iron.
