Thanks for the video David. Really appreciate you taking the time to cover this on the channel. I really love using this tap myself and sure they will be popular around the globe.
Seeing this and a few annoyances with my most recent brew just gave me the idea to use this as a sample valve for my fermenter next time I brew. That might save me from some of the hassle I currently have with my current setup so thanks.
I purchased a pair of these taps along with the flow control quick disconnects. I've been quite happy with them so far. I don't have a draft setup with external taps, so I just attach these to my corny kegs in the refrigerator. They are much simpler, and I might add, cleaner than trying to use picnic taps and hoses as I've done in the past. Also, the flow control feature is wonderful in my situation. Once the flow control was adjusted, I'd say that it's the first time that I've been able to pour a proper pint first time and each time afterward. I can also see that I should invest in the cleaning setup as well.
Hi David, great review as always. Its worth noting that the collar that catches on the flow control disconnect can be rotated separately to the tap, so it can still be fixed even when the disconnect is vertical. I wouldn't recommend getting the self-closing springs. I suspect they are too small to work without losing their strength to close the tap.
Hi Great to hear and thanks. The self closing spring should work, sounds like you should reach out to where you bought it for a solution , mine works very well.
@@DavidHeathHomebrew it has worked fine for a month or more, but recently just isn't closing it fully. Have heard from a few others with similar stories. Cheers.
Ive had the Mini since April last year and that pre production sample with spring is working still. I did see others on my FB group have this issue alongside others without the issue. So it could be there are some springs that need replacement.
I just received two Nukatap Mini and two of the self-closing springs. I noticed the collar that holds the tap handle in is on way too tight, at least on mine. The spring would have had a difficult time closing the tap. Loosen the collar, then tighten a bit at a time while operating the tap handle to find a snug but not too tight spot.
Thanks David. On the strength of your review, I've just bought 3 Nukatap minis, with flow control disconnects. Quick question - each tap had a spring supplied with it. Do I need to include this in the assembly of the item, or is it a spare? I love Kegland stuff, but I sometimes wish they'd provide a bit more in the way of instructions.
I’ve got one, and it’s great. My only issue is that mine does tend to drip. I need to really “turn it off” and even then it’s still likely. Not a drama if I’m using it, but if a few different people are using it then drips galore.
I have one with the flow control disconnect plus I installed the spring (which is an extra) Question : I pull the lever forward and the beer pours (no problem) BUT if I let go of the leaver the beer still pours and I have to physically return the lever to the closed position to stop the flow - is this correct? I though by using the spring the lever would return to the closed position if released?
Try adjusting the the tension on the collar under the tap handle. It’s a fine line but you can give the spring enough freedom to do what it needs to but still maintain a good seal.
@@beaurepair Have you got the correct spring? I have been told that some customers have somehow ended up using a poppet spring which is similar in size but slightly shorter. The correst sprnig must be used for this job?
Just got two of these, however no-one mentioned that these, on flow control disconnects, do not fit on corny kegs unless the black keg handle has cut outs as in your video. My kegs are all the “all round” handles without cut-outs so I am very disappointed.

Thank you. Yes I am loving this one 🍻🍻🍻
I am waiting for this to arrive in Europe even more now! Love your to the point and information rich videos.
Great to hear 🍻🍻🍻
Kegland AliExpress ships to Europe mines on way to UK..oos at moment as was on offer.

How does one adjust the flow? I just got mine in but I don’t quite understand
Via a flow control ball lock. I show this in this video, as part of the setup:- ua-cam.com/video/ikk99JCE3pM/v-deo.htmlsi=7kCVYzSUSLGjonhd
Have purchased a couple and attached to my corny kegs - they work great and pour is effortless with flow control option
Great to hear, many thanks for your feedback 🍻🍻🍻
If you turn the connector 90 degrees before screwing on the collar you can use it while on the 8L oxebar kegs too,
Yes there are various ways of using these.
Thanks for your input 🍻🍻🍻
@@DavidHeathHomebrew have one in the post to me in Ireland form the AliExpress shop right now. Looking forward to getting my hands on it.
Great, enjoy 🍻🍻🍻
Looking good! Thanks for the video. Might even be small and stylish enough for a living room kegerator solution acceptable for the wife.. 🤞
Thank you 🍻🍻🍻
Switched from Nukatap to a CMB V10 and never looked back. Fantastic flow, zero foaming, and with "push back to create foam" feature.
@maltePhilipA where did you get the CMB equipment?
@@liamkennedy8169 ordered it online from a gastronomy/brewery equipment retailer.
Difficult to get CMBs in UK so interested here.
CMB do make very premium faucets. Nukataps I feel offer a very good pour and experience for a more down to earth and realistic price for most people.

Great, thanks for the info. Sometimes profucts need a little adjustment.
I really love Keglands products, they put homebrewing not 1 but 3 steps further.
Yes, very true and without breaking the bank either thankfully!!
Excellent information as always. Thank you :)
Many thanks Paul 🍻🍻🍻
Nice little Nukatap... :)
Sure is 🍻🍻🍻

Great to hear. The spring allows the tap to spring back in place after serving or to protect against knocks.
@@DavidHeathHomebrew This was exactly the information I was looking for after having received my Nuktap Mini today. Thank you very much!
@axelk.4273 Great to hear, cheers 🍻🍻🍻
I would also assume these small taps have less thermal mass as well which might reduce first pour foam
Yes for sure. I mentioned this early in the video 🍻🍻🍻

That could be easy enough to fix. Have you reached out to where you bought it?
How do I get one in the US?
Try morebeer 🍻🍻🍻, they will either have it or will have it soon 🍻🍻🍻
does anyone know if the mini accepts the stout faucet with the restrictor plate ?
The mini has a much smaller spout size than a standard Nukatap, so sadly the existing fittings are not options.

I've found the spring doesn't work very well
The spring should stop the pour the monent you let go. I suggest that you report this to where you bought it for a solution.
See comment 🍻🍻🍻
