    Skipper, can you include how you picked the spot and where you are casting for each of your fishing videos? That will help us understand better by watching mutiple scenarios and beaches on how to pick spots

    We have two types of sand fleas here in south of brazil. Hard shell and soft shell.
    The soft shell sand fleas are the best bait.

    I really miss fishing in Florida. I grew up in Brandon (near Tampa) and I used to fish ALL the time. I left home when I was 14 and moved to Pittsburgh and I've been here for 22 years. I don't regret that decision, but I will move back home eventually. I HATE the cold now. I've hated it for years, but I have a family now with two kids, so I can't just pick up and leave.

    Great video, thanks. In my opinion fish bite the smaller soft shell sand crabs better than the larger hard shell ones. The smaller soft shell crabs have clear colored legs and the larger hard shell sand crabs have yellowish legs. Love the videos, keep up the good work.

    • @toddmillar4041
      @toddmillar4041 4 роки тому

      Set it to 1/3rd of the breaking strain ( test ) of your line if your reel can handle it this gives you room to go tighter if required there generally aren't to many snags and rocks while beach fishing so you can play the fish a bit especially when the wave trying to suck the fish back in.

      Hey Skipper;-
      Some call them sea lice, for bait, which is not correct!
      There are fish lice, that attach themselves onto fish, and I've seen one example of one inside a fish's mouth!
      One can crush it, put on a hook too! Never return them alive into water!
      The sand fleas name not correct too!

    • @HeySkipper

      I use this rig because it keeps the bait in 2 different strike zones, it works well when you want to anchor your bait down very secure👍

    What is the difference between keeping your catch alive in a bucket vs. instantly killing it and let it bleed out? How do you properly kill and bleed a fish so that it doesn't hurt the fish? Where do you buy your fresh shrimp and mullet and what do you consider "fresh"? I'm just a beginner so my questions may seem naive to you. Sorry about that.
