Omg!! Finally a mien version. There is no video of Mien khao soy anywhere on UA-cam! When I tried my Mien friend’s khao soy, I was blown away. So good. I’m so glad I found your video. Thank you for sharing. I’m looking forward to more Mien dishes! My boyfriend’s sister made me baked eggs 🤤 those were so good too. lol hope to see you share a baked egg recipe in the near future!
This looks delicious! I do have a question, how much water do I use for the pot of water for the ingredients measurements that are being used? Hope to hear from you soon!
I love your first video! This is an amazing dish and also your recipe is so on point. Keep doing these because our people needs more recognition especially for our cultures food! Everyone will love these meals.
Hi! It won’t taste the same without the Guilin sauce , but you can actually do without (a lot of folks don’t use it when making the KaSoy meat) , but it tastes so much better with it.
Here’s an Amazon link if you decide to order. Lee Kum Kee Guilin Style Chili Sauce - 8 oz. www.amazon.com/dp/B0000CNU5B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_D6ZTFQDCVN25WYN5CMD9 Asianmart.com has it for $5.99 + shipping cost asianmart.com/products/lee-kum-kee-guilin-style-chili-sauce-8oz-226g
Honestly I have not tried it so I am not sure how it tastes, but if it’s fermented soy beans I think it’ll be fine to use, the taste may just differ a little bit. There’s also this Mien company that sells the Mien version of fermented beans ... here is the link to their IG profile instagram.com/dopczeic.official?igshid=1slkipbhe2dlt

Can you give an estimate on how much water you use in the broth?
Hi I’m sorry about the late response I’m just now seeing this. I would say about 8 quarts of water
I have a question! When do you add the ground pork mixture to the broth? Or is that separate?
It’s separate, so you add it as a topping into your bowl with the noodles and veggies. Let me know if you have any other questions. 😃
@@chefinwithmanha Thanks!!
Is it okay to use the Korean soybean paste? “Haechandle Soybean Paste, Korean Doenjang” or would you not recommend it?
