I see. Then you have to try one. And if you do, make sure it’s ready to eat first before eating it. Usually the ones at the store are not ready to eat right away; you’ll have to wait a few days for it to become soft enough to eat.
Start grafting other variety to your trees to enjoy variety of taste - Lisa, Lisa Pride, PPC, Dream etc. I have a dozen trees and it's one of my favorite fruits
I will. I want the tree(s) to be a little bit bigger first. I’m going to graft my giant sugar apple this season and hopefully it can give me a fruit. The fruit can get to be somewhere between 2 to 6 pounds.
Search for “na sau rieng.” And yes sugar apple struggles a bit during the winter. I do have a regular sugar apple and this is its second winter and it’s doing good. Flowered last year late, so hopefully I can set some fruits this year.
It's a good opportunity to do a comparison of taste test of these varieties, do you have the video available?
Sorry no, I have not done a taste comparison test. Maybe when I have more varieties.
How do you prevent them from falling?
I think fruit is very delicious
Yes they are. One of my favorites.
What do Atemoya's taste like? They look very exotic.
I’m not very good as describing taste but they are similarly to a sugar apple but less chewy if you ever had one.
@@thenoobgardener I haven’t had a sugar apple before either. I have never seen one before.

@@thenoobgardener what store would possibly have them? I’m located in the Los Angeles area.
Try any oriental stores. China town should have them where they sell veggies n live seafood. They will most likely have cherimoyas.

Is your gefner self pollinating??
I’m not sure but for the past three seasons I have always hand pollinated them with my African pride pollen.
