Along with Jane Alison and Cormac McCarthy l look to Lee Child for lessons and inspiration. I think my own writing is perfectly OK and progressing, but I'm missing some deep fundamental. I feel like a kid blowing bubbles; it's all shiny and light and dancing but doesn't add up to anything serious.

What would you say are your favorite books? Do you ever read any comic books and/or graphic novels? I tend to read as many of those as possible to help improve on my writing and they help because they’re quick and to the point.
