I'm sure Iain's child like fascination with the world & his great sense of humour is much missed by his friends. Loved his books & the pragmatic way he greeted death.
What a MIND Iain was. Your writing has given me so much and will, doubtlessly, continue to do so for the rest of my earthly existence. I love you, man.
For us to have lost such a remarkable talent and lovely man at such a ridiculously early age is a tragedy. Thank you for posting this. RIP Mr. Banks. I hope you are having a smile somewhere.
The legendary Iain M Banks. Sadly missed but never forgotten. A hole, so wide has been made in my reading, especially sci-fi since your passing. I hope to see you in "The Culture," whenever I go to the other side 👍🏾😎
I've heard that he was a nice guy. I am having great difficulty reading science fiction since his passing. Nobody comes close, in my opinion, for intelligent sci-fi.
Hi brain sounds like it was a lot like mine... tho mine not so big, but definitely very dusty. So early... Such a shame. Peter Capaldi should be locked in a room with all of Banks books and an excellent microphone/system and forced to read them all as Audiobooks. Then he can be fed while Quality control is conducted. After which hopefully he will be allowed to leave again.

I like how unpretentious he comes across. Sounds like he was real down to earth sort of man.
I had just discovered all of Iain Banks books and started reading them one by one. The very next month I learned of his death. it destroyed me.
I met him briefly making this film. He was a very nice man. Thanks for your interest.
A very silly and hence very serious man.
Yes, he was a pleasure to meet. Thanks for your interest
I still miss him, his humour, and his fantastic writing of course.

Thanks Hari. I think the video shows he was a nice guy to meet in person too, brief though it was.
