Fake Seiko Turtle watches seem to be more prevalent these days online like ebay and Wish where I got this one. I will compare it against a real turtle so you don't have to get ripped off online. I got this one from a seller on Wish.
NOTE on Wish: ContextLogic Inc owns Wish. ContextLogic Inc. is headquartered in San Francisco. Sales on the marketplaces are made by the seller or merchant. Wish is just the selling Platform.

I’ll tell you one much easier. fake seiko turtles always say nh36 as the movement on the dial but real ones always have 4r36.
The Chinese would fake their own grandmothers if there was money to be made. Haha!
Hello 👋
Pls .i have a question
I have the same watch but on the dail it doesn't say movmnt japan .
It says 4r36-05g4 only
What the difference?
How to spot a fake Seiko: it's more aligned than a real one.
I was biting my tongue not to make this joke in the upload!
thats true😃, padi turtle has surprisingly nice alignment though
I thought you would have known it was a fake by the fact everything seemed to line up perfectly 😂😂😂
I know, I was dying to make this joke, but I thought I may offend a few seiko fans to didn't!
I always ask if that seiko is moded or not. If it's moded you have more steps to check if it's fake. If not moded or it's a stock, the first thing I check is the lume pip. that seiko lume pip is pretty hard to find. I bought a fake srpc25 turtle with an nh36a movement just to practice modding before I mod my original srpe99 everything was interchangeable except for the rotating bezel and crown. the crown of the fake seems to fit skx007 crowns, when I put my original turtle crown to the fake it won't bite the thread, thought I had a loose thread but it wasn't the case, and the inner diameter of the rotating bezel of the fake is 1mm larger than the original rotating bezel so when I put an aftermarket rotating bezel for original turtle which is 1mm smaller inner diameter and forced it (I had to hammer the press to make it sit) on the fake, the rotating bezel won't rotate anymore because it was a super duper fricking snug fit that I cannot refund the rotating bezel (At that time I thought everything was interchangeable that's how I learned it wasn't). BTW the nh36a movement was the only thing I deemed original there.
I see the fake ones dial says it has a nh36 movement which is for non seiko watches. Also is the caseback the same size. Could the real back be screwed onto the fake one or a clear exhibition caseback be screwed onto the fake? I just took a peek at the wish site and some listings are showing the watch will come with a genuine 4r36 movement inside.
Hi Jim, I can actually test the case back probably before we destroy this watch. I will upload a picture to the facebook group if we get around to it.Thanks for watching.
Love the video! I have a hard time Differentiating a Modded Seiko vs a Fake Seiko. When modding a Seiko when does it become a fake? All the parts can be changed from Crown to dial etc. Does the actual inner parts make a Seiko real? If so how would anyone know?
That seems to be an unending question for debate--modded Seiko vs fake Seiko. Gather ten watch geeks and you'll get twelve opinions. 🙂When I'm assembling my watches, unless I'm starting with a genuine Seiko donor watch, my watch when finished will not have a Seiko logo on the dial. It is a good question--is a watch made with a genuine Seiko made for resale movement (NH), a modded Seiko, or a fake Seiko? Does it need to have an in-house Seiko movement? The part that actually makes it a watch, the movement, is a genuine Seiko manufactured part. Is that what counts as 'real' or is it something else?
Very good information Sam. Stay safe and well 👍👍
Hey same to you! Are you getting back in to your reviews?
@@CasualWatchReviews yes mate I'm doing one or two a week again 👏👍
The PADI has "special edition" engraved on the case back. As well as movement Japan
Oh really, yes I missed that, thanks for adding
Very informative video. I was at one time considering purchasing a Seiko watch from them as the price was very good and thought it was a bargain. The old saying goes is that if it's too good to be true it probably is or something to that affect. I didn't get it in the end so I am pleased you have posted this video about Wish to warn others thinking of buying from them. I must admit that had I bought the watch I was interested in at the time I wouldn't have known it was a fake.
Hi Ednam. Thanks for commenting. I’m glad this upload helped. Wish are just the middle man selling platform like eBay but even so they should check the listings. It’s really sneaky to use the real seiko images also.
The solid end links on the fake are different also. The real bracelet does not have openings on the underside. You have to use the drilled lugs to take the bracelet off on the real padi turtle. Source: I own a Padi turtle purchased from Macy’s.
The save the ocean version that you have, is no longer produced?
Yep you can still buy them, there is one actually in my amazon store (hint, hint 😄)
Enjoyed your video. Did you ever do a follow-up? I looked for it and didn't see one. I like that bracelet. I'll likely get one for my STO Prospex.
We had a whole thing planned out where we were going to crush the watch with an industrial press. But then Covid happened and I moved from where I was. So it never happened.
@@CasualWatchReviewsahhh, thanks for the reply.
In a thrift store I did buy fake Seiko Turtle 7002-700A The dial and bezel obviously looks fake, but the movement has Singapore factory markings and looks very real. Besides it is surprisingly accurate for an automatic watch. 1 minute error per 2 weeks or so. I was thinking maybe someone did set original movement into a fake case? Maybe its a frankenstein watch. But I love it. Its sturdy and beautiful and precise and did cost me about 45 bucks.
After watching Your video I understood I have a real vintage Seiko Turtle with a fake bezel on it. Someone problably did fix a beaten up watch, but didnt have money for real parts.
The crown was a dead giveaway.
I think you should get rid of the movement, bracelet and dial of the fake, keep the case , order a movement, dial, bracelet, hands and bezel to go with your new dial and make a nice mod.
Hey Ray.... Im sorry but there is no happy ending for this watch... it will be meeting an unfortunate end! Some one also ready made a great suggestion so I'm going to investigate further!
Enjoyable video, I’m a Seiko fan who has purchased a fake from EBay a few years ago.
As a real comparison you should do a part 2 with a real PADI turtle 🐢
Id love to do see a part two with a comparison with a real PADI edition. I can even send mine in for it.
Hey Ben, I was trying to get hold of one but I couldn't find one. I may take you up on that offer
That would be really worth doing guys!
Does the inscription on the bottom of the dial say NH36? That would be a giveaway?
Craig Rodgers I think it did, I don’t have it at the moment. A friend put it on a timegrapher and it’s performing really well!
ill send you an address
Nice video. Good return policy on wish?
I'm not actually sure... this one is going to meet an unfortunate end... hopefully!
That's why I'm purchasing the Seiko SRP777 Prospex Automatic Watch through Seiko's website. It's a little more expensive but I get the real deal and I get Seiko's warranty, plus I get a extra year on the warranty for registering it through Seiko. It's an amazing watch.
Hey Mike, always a good idea if you want to be 100% sure, I bought my Tudor through an AD! Thanks for watching!
Hi Sam great show as usual,if anything is of value then someone will try to fake it. I think online buying and selling has really opened up the market place for everything fake because you basically buy from photographs. The old saying if it looks to good to be true it usually is to good and don’t buy unless it’s a reputable source.Stay safe my friend.👍🏻
Hey Paul! yes i totally agree with you there! Its a shame that a few commenters got stung by this already!
I love your modded Turtle! Where did you get the Band from? I ordered a Fake Padi as well except in my case it was advertised as an Automatic but was a Miyota Quartz
Yep I love it, its from Uncle Seiko www.uncleseiko.com/store/p85/%22RAZOR-WIRE%22_BRACELET_FOR_6309_SRP77x_and_SKX007.html
Its a bargain you have an NH36 movement wc is an Industrial series movement of seiko wc they sell to other brands.. The question would go down to, is it really stainless steel?
Yep it was definitely stainless steel. But not sure the grade maybe? Like 316L for example
You overlooked the dead giveaway:
The serial number.
630 711, all fakes have this serial number.
oh well spotted!!
Search for @moneycheetah on INSTAGRAM they sell best replicas
Love your custom Seiko!....the other, not so much! 😀
Agreed!!!
Hi Sam any item over a fiver someone will see a profit in faking it sad and bad but also very scary,if someone will fake a watch what’s to stop them faking medical equipment for an example most affordable medical devices can be bought for the home now items that asthma sufferers may use like dehumidifiers.People will fake anything to turn a pound.Great video take care Sam 👍🏻
Hey Paul, we could have a whole conversation on this. I used to do medical trials for asthma drugs, some of the stuff we were testing would have revolutionised peoples lives. But I guess there is just too much money in those brown and blue inhalers that we have all had for the last 35 years.
The pearl was an instant tell on the wrist for me….. then the colour of the blue on the bezel is much darker on the replica….
Hey Sam, I’m thrilled about your strong stance against fakes. Like other comments, I have a true bone stock PADI Turtle that I can loan you if you want to do a comparison. I then recommend that you bring the fake to a violent end. 😊
I may take you up on that Todd! Before it meets a horrible end!
It is crazy to me that anyone is faking a Seiko Turtle...it is hard to believe that there can be much profit in it. I almost bought one on Wish this week to use for parts but decided that price was too good to be true. Thank you for the heads up on this one 😊👍
Hey Jeffrey, yes to sell them for $65 they must be making them for $20-$40 I'm guessing?
How I spot before to buy, beside of price?
Yep its very tricky as the pictures on wish are the pictures of the actual correct one. I would say to buy one from amazon honestly. Thats where I got mine from. You never get a 'deal' on these so anything less than $270-$300 unless its preowned is likely a fake as a general rule.
"Too good to be true" price
How well does it keep time?
It actually performed pretty well, we posted results over on out 'Casual Watch Talk' facebook group
@@CasualWatchReviews That's good to know. I bought one to try it out too on Wish. I dont think many people are going to question a replica Seiko, vs a replica Rolex, or Omega. 🤣
Informative video - thanks 👍
Thanks Kevin, looking forward to the part 2 when we can find a way to destroy it appropriately, we are working on some leads!
Scary how good it looks! What this will do is curb sales online for real Seiko watches from honest sellers! :(
I wonder if it would, I joked that the bracelet may be better than seiko and maybe the movement!
I really enjoyed this video. I have a J1 Padi Turtle (SRPS21J1). I could tell something Was off right away. However, someone who did not know about the Turtle or Seiko could be fooled by this.
I saw I few other things you did not mention. The numbers at the 6 position are wrong. This says NH36, which is the 3rd party name. A real Turtle would say 4r36, and the other numbers are also wrong.
The bracelet is also completely wrong. It’s missing the fold-out divers extension by the safety foldover. All Seiko divers are ISO divers and have some sort of extension. Also every link on Seiko bracelets are removable, here would be pin holes on all of them. This has some permanent links.
As you mentioned, the dial is very wrong. The real one is done much better. The hour hand should also have more of a point.
They also used a picture of the wron model. They used the J1 picture, and it’s missing the “Made in Japan” on the back and the dial. Technically, it’s false advertising. If you thought you were buying the J1 and you received the K1, you would say there was as issue. It’s actually happened to me wit a Seiko 5, he pic showed “Made in Japan” on the dial but they sent a K1. The pic was a mistake and I was able to send it back.
Im going to pin this one to the top, some great points there!
nh36 third party name? Seiko Instruments made so not a third party.
J1 and K1 can be made in the same factory and place unless you can show some evidence from Seiko they can't? Likewise made in Japan doesn't actually mean it has been made in Japan. MIJ items can be made outside Japan as long as the company is Japanese and the work is overseen by Japanese employees.
murph I don’t know exactly what the current requirements to put “Made in Japan” on a product are. All I know is some say it and others don’t.
The movement Ian not 3rd party, Seiko makes them. However, Seiko calls this movement 4r36, and any Seiko with it would say it on the dial. Seiko still puts the movement number on the dial.
NH36 is the version sold to other watchmakers. Having NH36 on a Seiko dial is a dead giveaway it’s fake, as it didn’t even match the caseback. As seen in the video, the fake didn’t have a Seiko movement, Seiko Movements have markings.
Do u think a big department store like MACY'S would sell fake seikos?? I know good and well wish is famous for fakes..any comments tho on macys would be appreciated
Got it for bracelet! 26£ bargain. If comes as good as that great
The movt is nh ? But think seiko seconds but the solid end links is difficult to find:) cannot wait for my fake seiko
Fantastic. I’ve been waiting for ages for just such a review. I was looking for ages at the Nemo Turtle on Wish. I sort of knew it would be fake, but there is always that nagging feeling that just maybe I was missing out on a bargain. Now I know. I’m left with two thoughts: How on earth are Wish allowed to get away with this?, And, to be honest, the watch looks okay, and I think it would be worth the cost, just for the bracelet. I noticed they even do a Seiko 5. Yes, do a part 2. Try one of their Rolex or Omega. It would be a public service to shame them. It would be interesting also, to try and get a comment from Wish.
That is actually not a bad idea, I could ask them for a comment in part two before this one meets a horrible end!
You did have a few issues with the Turtle, before you fettled it. Perhaps a month or so, see how it performs. A suitable end suggestion, maybe a pressure test. Lets see how waterproof it really is.
Hello. Can you help me buy an original Seiko watch
Yes go to amazon, its your best bet
The easiest way to tell if it's fake is to take a good look and if the chapter ring is aligned, its a fake.
You know I nearly made that joke myself but I know how 'passionate' some Seiko fans are so thought I better not!
Count it!
Should test movement to c how compare to the sakio
Hi Bryan, we did and I'm sure I mentioned it in the upload?
it may be a fake but imagine it was unbranded? it's a very good watch for the £39 I paid for it. Many thanks for the review
keep the bracelet and kindly destroy the fake BY GIVING IT TO ME
Im sorry it already has a horrible end planned for it!!!
Yes definitely part 2. Strip it down look at the crown, remove the bezel and the crystal etc 👍
Hey! We have sort of been doing a part two on the Facebook group ‘casual watch talk’ we had it on a timegrapher. I think the next UA-cam will be this watched demise!
Looks like it's missing the dive extension too
Well spotted i must have missed that!
I am not surprised that the fake Seiko is almost as good as a genuine one, given the poor job Seiko has been doing in recent years with misalignment everywhere on most of their watches. Not to mention the low-quality Seiko bracelets. Nice video Sam, maybe try to compare it to a genuine Padi Turtle.
Hey, thanks for commenting not heard from you in a while, welcome back. Yes, considering they probably knocked this out the factory for $20-$40. Just shows how cheap seiko are with there bracelets, my turtle for $385 didn't even have the bracelet. If that is an unbranded NH36a in that watch its a better movement than (for years) they were putting in the SKX range
Right off the bat, the crown screams bogus turtle!
Yep, it was hard to convey but they felt different also.
mine is stamped made in china on inside case back and only tests to 5bar
This is unbelievable. Wish has a lot of advertising for example on FB, but when the prices are too good to be true, probably it's because it's a fake watch. I think no one of us has ever seen a real Turtle for this price!
Yep I agree too good to be true, I have seen these on ebay also so hopefully I save at least one person from making a mistake.
In order to avoid buying fake products in this case a watch, do not shop from wish and Alibaba.
Yep, totally agree. I made this upload as a warning!
just modded a fake seiko turtle. seiko 7s26 movement, aftermarket dial, painted chapter ring. aftermarket bracelet. frankenwatch indeed but looks f-in amazing
Hey Frank, wow your a brave guy! this one has a horrible end planned for it! Thanks for watching!
Great video !!! Thank you so much !!!
Glad you liked it!
Interesting. Mark over at Watch Repair Channel has a Fake Padi Turtle with what appears to be a real Seiko movement in it, albeit it's a NH36, not a 4R36 (noting that they are mechanically the same movement, except the former is sold wholesale to other watchmakers for use in their cases, while the latter is only cased into Seiko cases, by Seiko). To disguise it, Mark's fake has an etched metal foil cover on the counterweight with "4R36" etc on it, which disguised the 'NH36" marked on the actual counterweight underneath. Diabolical!
Hey David, yes I suspect this was an NH36 also, it actually runs a lot better than most seikos I have owned!
Everything is funny, until some one steal from you. Buy fake things = stealing.
Agreed!!
I'd buy the strap if you want to sell it. I prefer the sealed holes compared to the other real ones. That's one thing I'd swap and keep on especially if it wasn't original at start . As for destroying them? Give them away. Send to stranger but landfill because seiko has copies is silly.
Hey Matt, yes its meeting a horrible end this watch. We have it planned out, should make for an interesting youtube upload.
It wont have anything like the quality of the real thing. Easiest spot is to weigh them. Genuine one should weigh 180grammes. That wont. Also, plenty of genuine ones perfectly align. Mine does.nothing wrong with the turtle bracelet. Solid end links on real thing. Look at the back….fakes have poorly formed stamping not as crisp as the real one and lettering will be off. Minute hand looks wrong, crown looks wrong, lume is feint…it’s not hard to determine a fake when you have it in your hands hence always insist on loads of photis and proper paperwork.
Did you put the fake on a time grapher? Was it keeping reasonable time?
Love the razor wire bracelet on your watch!
Yep we put it on the timegrapher and it kept better time than any seiko I have had straight out the box. There is a photo of the timegrapher on the Facebook page Casual Watch Talk
@@CasualWatchReviews I have to agree with you about the settling in period for Seiko's. I have the SRPA21k1 and it's a bloody nightmare and still hasn't settled down. After two months I'm sending it to a friendly modder for a new movement as even though it's in warranty. I don't mind paying for a tested movement that has already been run and regulated. My SRP777 on the other hand performs by and large like a quartz and barely misses a beat. It did that pretty much out of the box.
Yes a Simon crane type torture test could make some great videos 😛
I wonder what ever happened to him, he stopped uploading a while ago I think. Im going to try and go a bit bigger!
The Casual Watch Reviewer looking forward to it
You should have mentioned the movement # on the dial is wrong.
Yep I just missed it honestly
I'm in love with seiko ♥️
Well plenty to choose from
The real one ? the bezel insert and chapter ring is more precise design than a class A one with NH36 ..and I don't. think that the other one is fake when that actually still using the SII SEIKO INSTRUMENTS INC. NH36.
Yep it’s an interesting question! Is it a fake if it’s using the same movements and materials... with the exception of the dial! We posted on the Facebook group photo of if in a timegrapher. It runs better than any seiko I have ever owned!
Was glad to see this documentary. Unfortunately, I did purchase the fake version without the knowledge of it being fake. The price should've given it away. Upon receiving the watch, I could tell almost immediately that it was a fake. Why these are all over the place on Wish I dont know but it's sad. However it remains to be a Beautiful copy. As I attempted to make adjustments, the crown came completely out which I've never seen on any type of watch. Beware shoppers.
Hey Steven, sorry to hear that, I have an idea it may be fake when i got it... we are just planning an unfortunate end to my one!
I bought one a few weeks ago. As wondering too. But it only cost $10.00 the add said real Seiko movement. Hadn’t seen your video.
Wow $10 so they must be making them a lot cheaper than I thought!
As far as I can tell, the Padi versions on Wish in the $10-20 range have quartz movements.
😂😂😂. You purchased a watch off wish?. An thinking it was the real deal.. For 10 dollars?.. Wear it proudly!!!.. Lol
I bit on the Wish add and got bitten....luckily it was only $20 as opposed to the sixty spent here.
Without doing too much of a detailed look even a casual observer should be able to see this watch at 6 o'clock says "NH 36" rather than "4R 36". A Seiko, assembled by Seiko, is not going to be sporting an NH movement. That tell is pretty darn obvious.
I still kick myself I missed that during the making of this! A load of people have pointed this out in the comments.
There’s such a thing as a fake Seiko? Now I’ve seen everything.
Yes, a lot more prevalent than you think. You can even find fakes of the very affordable Casio watches
Waste of time and money. The counterfeit seiko.
Yes 100% agree!
NEVER heard of this. Now, I'm a little bothered. If one buys a Seiko turtle on ebay, at over $200, from a valid ebay seller...selling many new ones, is there any reason for concern that it is fake?? I'm not taking the back off, and all your "tells" before that weren't so different. Thanks
If you like post a picture on out Casual Watch Talk Facebook group. The tell tale is the crown and the dial, the dial on a seiko turtle is excellent... not just nice. Seiko do a really good job of their dials
I was interested and seeing how you are compared it to you but you never went from left to right the show the difference between your turtle and the Sako you had him right beside each other you could have turned them over so they see this one see how that marking is see if this one so that market you didn't do that or just explain what the difference was but I'm actually seeing it so I don't know how true that is thank you
Im not sure how to answer that? I thought I captured the differences as best as I could
Awesome Bracelet on the real turtle 👍
Yep Uncle Seiko does a great job www.uncleseiko.com/store/p85/%22RAZOR-WIRE%22_BRACELET_FOR_6309_SRP77x_and_SKX007.html
Rather than destroying the watch it would be interesting to see you discard the case, dial and bracelet and replace them with an inexpensive custom case, dial and maybe a nato band to make the watch your own rather than a replica.
Hey Jim, I think we are very close to having it come to an unfortunate end! When the stay at home orders are lifted anyway. Hopefully it should make for a good upload.
Just ordered online Navy Exchange a seiko Turtle. I'm hoping it not fake. now you've got me a bit paranoid. I'll use your video to make sure. It was only 350$ US. Thank you for your video.
Hey William, yep let us know. If you are super worried than post a picture on our 'Casual Watch Talk' facebook group so we can take a look but you should be fine. That price is is right for the real one.
@@CasualWatchReviews It should be here this week. I'll run through your tests n get back to ya. Thank you again. Cheers.
To conclude: biggest indicator of fake is price / source. Difference in performance and appearance almost imperceptible.
yes that is fair to say, the dial was way off but the case could easily fool someone if they are not overly familiar with seikos
I want one for spare bits!
if the chapter ring aligns perfectly thats a dead give away that its fake.
I was actually stopping myself the whole time from making that joke... or the 'it only 3 seconds fast a day' cant be real!
I don't think there is anything wrong with buying a fake watch as long as you tell the truth when asked feal or fake
Hey Joe, we may agree to disagree in that I think Fake watches are the awful. Thats why I made this one to try and stop people buying the fake seikos and warn them they are out there.
You never no until you get the fake watch in your possession and look over it because they'll normal show a proper photo, also report it to wish to help stamp out these crooked people.
Yes thats what happened here, wish had the right photos for this seiko
Another dead give away for a fake is that the red chapter ring 5 minute markers are much broader and more pronounced on the genuine article. Also the bracelet ends are solid and don't have any gaps on them for accessing the spring bars.
Annnnnnnnnd it's doesn't have 'Special Edition' etched on the watch back above the Tsunami.........
Well spotted, a few things there I missed in the upload!
just been dumb enough to buy a fieko turtle myself, opened up to find a unknown generic automatic movement, so my theory is the watch body is reject stock thats acquired, then a cheaper movement added and , whats annoying is the item marketing. also wish wont tackle the dealers merchants or stop them using the platform !, i have made a returns request , lets see what wish will do , ? i presume the cheats will offer credit , not cash back . so i instruct visa to stop payment ! within 5 minutes of contact with Wish in schiphol NED . Resolved
This item was refunded
We have resolved your issue. It may take up to 14 business days to be reflected on your banking or credit card statement. now lets see if this will happen ? exciting stuff watch here for more !
and thanks to the casual watch reviewer
Hey Phillip, sorry you got stung there! I’m planning a horrible end to this one so didn’t attempt to to get a refund! Did they let you keep the watch and still refunded you?
@@CasualWatchReviews not certain as i did it this morning will keep you in the loop so far no one asked for the item to be returned .
Well if you want to see in immortalized on UA-cam then meet an equally Horrible end to mine, let me know I can cover postage and any other costs to get it over to us!
@@CasualWatchReviews may i suggest a more positive plan want to mod that feiko ? my engineer friends have all admired the case . they consider it o be a sound structure.. so would you consider modding the case with a sound nh36 , new dial and lume hands , bezel etc , and ar glass ? its means investing to possibly the level of a new unit ...Because as you stated with the exam of the strap , " have these straps been made at the same factory." now speculation among the metal workers here was (hmm good case a 1/4 ml difference to specs of the original . would mean its a rejected unit , after a week a production machines would have say around a 100- 150 such rejects , thats interesting to another merchant willing to substitute generic watch parts . and engineer both stamped straps and backs, convincing to both market trading standards . i am not kicking the workers of the most industrialised country , its this sharper practice of fake materials that are pushed through too the unsuspecting .( after all the Seiko brand is well respected and loved among the watch enthusiasts. ) www.retailadr.org.uk/rights-youre-let-buying-online/
Hey Philip, yes totally understand.... honestly I think it will make for a much better part two if the watch meets a dramatic end. Would you rather watch me swap the hands on this fake watch or send it into space on a weather balloon... or whatever we decide
Damn, i just found out my padi pepsi turtle is fake. says NH36 on the dial and no made in japan markings on the case anywhere
Sorry to hear that!
I just purchased my first seiko.... From a jeweler store. Its a turtle. Blue dial. An its genuine. I did research on youtube an online to make sure its real. I owned only orients before this seiko. Im very happy with the watch. Could have been smaller made. But its ok. I know not nothing about seiko. But glad its real....
7:55 bottom of the dial says NH36, dead giveaway for a fake 😂
Yep, your the second person to see that... I don't know how I missed that and I was looking at it through a macro lens for ages!
angkris that's real funny when you don't. like the NH36 but that is interchangeable parts with 4r36😅😅😅
@@user-et8vm9cc3t yes correct but you cannot purchase a brandnew 4r movements alone online. Only NH..
Fully professional comparison. How is the time-keeping? I am very curious how long the fake mechanism will live? Anyway, big👍
Thanks glad you enjoyed it! Well it should be coming to a horrible end as soon as we are out of our ‘shelter at home’
I ordered one before I even watched this video ill let u know
Do a depth test on it ..
Hey Myles, it’s long… long gone that watch now! I sent it to a modded who hopefully kept the movement and chucked the rest. It was awful!
Those are “good luck with this watch” beads
Stay posted! I have a horrible end planned for this watch! Thanks for watching!
That’s nasty. A Seiko watch is already a budget watch. To make it cheaper is just a shame. Nice comparison, I’m just baffled fake Seikos exist.
Agreed mate!
After watching this video I’m thinking that a 3rd party company on Amazon sold me a fake. I returned it because the watch failed not even a week of owning it.
Yep thats not cool if that happened!
How come you did not show the Seiko movement I just bought a watch of ebay I am sure its legit but I wanted to see the movement on the Seiko
My seiko has an swapped out TMI movement so it would have looked the same as the NH35a in the fake. If yours says TMI or NH35a on the rotor it’s a fake. Also you will be able to tell straight away because Seiko make great bezel action on their real ones.
@@CasualWatchReviews I bought a seiko flight master with the blue dial on it. I bought it from Japan off of ebay i dont think its a knock off the face has very find detail on it . Outer ring for the slide rule is very smooth . Came with the seiko box and the padded pillow for the watch to mount on and it came with paper work written in Japanese . I looked and looked on Ebay and this was the only one that had the box and instructions . I am not 100% but its very well made and even came with a link kit to make the band longer. I am glad it wont go through my sausage hands its made for a very slim man . I just opened it today and absolutely fell in love with it . I have never paid this much for a watch always buy the cheepies
Step 1. Pressure test it, followed by a nice rapid explosive decompression.
Step 2. Then destruction by hydraulic press.. or put it in a vice and wind it up until it pops.
Step 3. Smelt it back into a mystery alloy bbs.
Step 4. Pack bbs into shotgun cartridges and shoot them at something...
I promise that one of those is absolutely what we have planned for it when we can get back out and places are open!
Why waste it
Rand Sp3c because it will make for a great youtube video dont you think?
Why destroy it keep it as an example or use it to modify change the dial Etc so it's not a fake Seiko anymore it's a one-off whatever
It already has a very horrible end planned!
The clone resisst the water????
I really doubt it... Its definitely a fake as opposed to a clone, nothing about the watch (except the movement) is seiko quality in any way... what I'm hoping its not fire retardant, drop proof or possibly explosion resistant as this one is going to meet a horrible end!
Send it back to wish for refund.you normally get your money back and get to keep the watch.
Hi bro.. Where can I got strap like your turtle.. Please give me a link.
Here you go! best metal strap I own in terms of comfort. www.uncleseiko.com/store/p85/%22RAZOR-WIRE%22_BRACELET_FOR_6309_SRP77x_and_SKX007.html
I’d be really curious to see if it leaks
Oh I'm sure it leaks, good question. We have a horrible end planned for it but it does not involve water... or maybe it could do!
@@CasualWatchReviews that would be awesome 👌
I bought one of those and noticed all that but mine had a real Seiko movement in it. 🤷♂️
oh really, branded seiko?
The Casual Watch Reviewer yes sir. 4r36.
@@CasualWatchReviewsyou can definetily find real Seiko movements inside of these fakes, since the Seiko factory sells some off their mass production movements to third party companies.
Damn who buys a fake seiko.... that is just sad. I mean it’s already sad to buy a fake watch altogether
I have seen these all over wish and ebay, I reported a few sellers on ebay that were charging the full $300 for these. Hopefully I can stop a few people from buying them and make sure this one meets a horrible end!
Good job!
bro please look the down tekst. of the movement and made in japan on the fake it isnt
Yep a few other people spotted that! Thanks for watching!
mitations that violate the design are also classified as counterfeit and a violation of trademark rights. The name is not everything. In Europe they say: Everything stolen from Poland ... At Wish the boss is also from Poland. do not buy from "Wish" it is a playground for fraudsters of all kinds. Whether it is fake cell phones or manipulated SD cards, it is always a surprise, and no matter what is on the stamps, whether it is "Huawai" or something else , All 512GB cards have a maximum of 16GB and are faked by software to an alleged 512GB. For cell phones, it is recommended to install CPU-Z first, the tool will then independently display the hardware. Plenty of fake Rolex watches, plagiarism and illegal weapons.
Nicely done video. It's not that surprising that the bracelet fits onto the genuine though. The tolerances don't have to be particularly tight and easily achievable with a modern CNC.
Hey, Razenby. Actually Larry at uncle seiko one time told me that the cases on the turtles have that much variance, its almost impossible to get a universal good fit for end links. He sells a number of different types of after markey straps on his site.
@@CasualWatchReviews ah that's interesting, I didn't know that.
Yeah man. I have a real padi pepsi, and i gotta say, looking at that fake i can't find a bone in my body that cares. Love seiko, but Id definitely pick one up for that $60 to beat on or mod 🤷♂️ The quality isnt very amazing on a seiko to begin with, we both know they're not worth $300+ they charge. Sign me up for the fake to rotate out with my real one. Didn't consider they made fakes of this watch till this video lol... I know steeldive makes a solid homage with better specs...but this shows seiko must make their turtles for dirt cheap.
You won't hear argument from me about the quality of actual seikos. They make great cases, dials and hands but their movements in my experience are questionable.
@@CasualWatchReviews I adore seiko, especially the king turtle. But, man when you took ouf the pepsi fake i was like 😲 It would fool me
I just keep it, nothing wrong with that. Because we watch moder bought after market parts after all.
We are already plotting an unfortunate end to this watch!
