My biggest problem outside of endurance and the races is the removal of every vehicle having a unique racer. Sure every vehicle had a unique special, but i liked all the different personalities. Sweet tooth has been my main for this challenge. His special,armor,ram,and mobility is good because i can easily escape from fights and refuel on health n ammo and use laughing ghost on enemies behind walls. My only difficulty was the beginning of carnival of carnage and the obstacle course.

Hey, bro. I did this Challenge a long time ago. No use of garage and no use of Juggernaut. In most levels Inused roadkill, but for some levels I had to use Outlaw, shadow, death warrant. In fight for your life I played as reaper. I Made the enemies go to the Subway where they were killed by the metro. I also Beat mean Juggernauts on twisted difficulty with every vehicle. Now I'm uploading the videos in a better quality. I still have the other videos recorded but they were recorded with My phone, so they look like shit. By the way, the level that took me the longest to beat without Juggernaut or the garage was the max endurance Match un watkyns harbor. The other max endurance Match take place in maps where there are environmental Hazards and the enemies died by themselves, but in watkyns harbor if you let one enemy run away, it would get to the semitrucks to fully restore its health. Plus, the map does not have environmental Hazards and it's so huge that sometimes it is hard to locate the enemies that were low on health. Also, without the use of the garage You have to rely on health packets or the semitrucks instead of simply changing your vehicle. By the way, Shadow was My choice for watkyns harbor max endurance Match.

Some of this game’s worse qualities are actually the result of its development. 2012 was supposed to be multiplayer-only, but the powers that be insisted that it also have a single player mode; this was when the existing game was about 3/4 finished, and given the deadline, there just wasn’t enough time to fully balance the AI. Additionally, racing wasn’t originally in the game, but was added at the insistence of one of the devs, even though, as you mentioned, the game’s physics aren’t designed for such a thing. All that said, however, this was the game that got me into Twisted Metal. Live Training helped introduce me to how these games play, and I’ve since unlocked Minion in Black. Still haven’t unlocked Freeway, though, despite playing on Easy 😅

This game is definitly more enjoyable than TM3 and 4. In the past i did attempt this and i have to admit dropping everything during tha double juggernaut fight at the desert, i was so sad how stuff was implemented and how the difficulty was just bullshit...(ive managed to play and beat both tm: head-on and tm: black a week before 2012.) In general, i really loved the new look, the stories were fine even though they were reduced to only 3...overrall a weird mess, an interesting mess with decent gameplay...but weird execution....
Funny I got the gold medals with a friend on twisted difficulty. I limited myself to use only the main three vehicles. (Sweet tooth with well sweettooth, Mr. Grimm with reaper, and dollface with darkside.) My friend used only other vehicles however he didn't use anything major he use outlaw. It was honestly easy. But not worth it for warthog.
My understanding is that emulating any PS3 game is really tricky. I’ve seen a few people (such as VicariousNickGaming) get it running, but they have extremely high-end rigs. There may be some videos out there that walk you through the optimal setting to get it to run smoothly!
@SurpriseNerf I literally just got this running yesterday since I had TM2012 on disc. I super nerded a while ago and have 3 computers (I know, why?!?): 9700k/3080; Ryzen 7 5800X/3080Ti; and 14700K/7900 XTX...unless I utterly missed something with my first 2 PCs, the 14700k one is the only one that runs the game at about 60 fps with default configuration - still got some artifacting only at the beginning of the matches, but other than that, good to go. If anyone knows better configuration setups for TM2012 for RPCS3, please humble me. Also, I followed this guy's video and it worked perfectly for getting it to boot up and run on my PCs: ua-cam.com/video/x19axY2usHY/v-deo.htmlsi=ZS1B3asLWP0RZ24- I found that the GPU is not utilized when this game ran on any of my systems, as the CPU fans went crazy every time (and HW Monitor showed 1-5% max utilization of each of my GPUs when it was running)

The one thing we cannot disparage this game for is bringing back Calypso's drip after the atrocities that were his Black and Head-On designs.
