- Bass Fishing on Cayuga Lake in the spring time is quite literally one of the best experiences I've ever had. This is my second year back on what I now consider an absolute annual requirement for myself, which is to visit Cayuga Lake in the Spring time for giant pre-spawn Largemouth Bass!
This is Day 1 of a week long adventure that I had with my friend Jon, who also goes by Frenchy. His channel, Fishing With Frenchy is about to get started so for now we have all his footage here on this Cayuga Lake video series.
This was the least amount of action of all the days we were there, and it was still a phenomenal day! Frenchy broke his PB 3 times on this day, and I manage a giant bi-product species catch that I didn't expect! Days 2, 3 and 4 are only going to get crazier and with more and bigger fish, so be ready for those epic moments!

Have you ever heard of using Mountain Dew to cauterize a bleeding fish? I just heard of this and haven't tried it.....
I've done a lot of research on this and when you really dig into it, it's a 50/50 mix of "facts why it's good / bad"
Either way, water will coagulate blood in a fish in the same way air does for humans. We fished the area another 20-30 minutes and didn't go too far to see if it would come up. Fish never came to the top, so we were hopeful.

I don't think they make it down quite that far, not sure. Most of my stuff was done in the far north.
