I bought this amp for quarter of the market price, used but still in decent condition. It’s great for a beginner like me, but this thing is crazy pig loud, my neighbors threw a grenade on my window.
@SevensMarkedSeven I get that, but I do recording. I bought a Sansamp GT2 this week instead of this amp because it is an analog device. I would like to hear this pedal through this amp, though. I live in Taiwan and have to worry neighbors complaining. This little amp cranks I've heard
Hi! I live in an apartment and I am trying to decide if I get the 25w or the 50w version. I really prefer the screen on the 50w model plus the 12” speaker, but I am concerned about playing in the apartment. If I buy the code 50, Can I increase the master volume and adjust the volume on each preset, so I can play my guitar at low volumes without disturbing neighbors and without loosing tone?
that would be cool if Marshall can make a huge floorboard of it ! build patches, and call them for live with like 5 switch , that would kill many shits on the market
Almost ordered it online and then just tested it out in store last week. Where I'm from there's about a 10% difference in price between this Code 25 and the Boss Katana 50 MkII... I like Marshall amps but the Boss won hands down. Easily worth the difference and I was quite disappointed in this particular Marshall. Always go to a music store and play with a fee amps before settling.
IM so glad you are putting it right up there with the bigger one .And now i know of the foot pedal plug! thx. which preset is yr favourite . My 00 got tuned out of its cool distortion.get to work then u say.Which 4 poweramps??where is the tuner and the tap function??
Should I a Marshall MG30GFX or this? They cost the same (where I have to buy them) including the foot switch. Which one is good for AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Green Day?
So maybe this is just me but It kinda sounds I live in an apartment with thin walls and my next-store neighbor is rocking out to his new amp. Is there a way to fix this? is it any better on the code 50/100? Is it the mic or its placement? Let me know! I'm trying to upgrade my amp soon and I would appreciate your help!
I was disappointed with the Marshall Code. It has tons of features but it sounds raw, loud, and digital. The best-sounding practice amp is the Blackstar Ht-1r. The only effect is reverb but are you buying an amp for effects or sound quality?
What I found, is by using a hand held device (I use an android tablet and connect via bluetooth), you can edit the presets quite easily and save to the handset so you don't have to overwrite the ones in the amp.
PMTVUK im deciding between this one, katana 50 and fender gt40. I also have electro acoustic and katana has acoustic mode. How is playing acoustic on this amp?
Ivan Dujić If you want an amp that does acoustic and electric, the Katana. I like the Code series, but the Katana is less expensive per watt (ktn 50 is less than code 25) and sounds better. The Peavey Vypyr and little Yamaha THR also do acoustic.
This guy is highly entertaining to watch
Completely agree
Talented guitarists n a great presenter.........
I’ve had one for a couple of years nearly, fantastic amp, you can really create some epic sounds. Love it.
Is it good for thrash netal

I can relate! Can’t crank the volume post 25%!
Pleas, could anyone tell me what settings needed to get a decent blues sound out of it? Thx guys in advance!

UA-camrs hate this amp but I had it for years and loved it. Sold it for other amps that disappointed me. I'm buying another one.
It sounds so digital
@@ToneSoCooL3so does the fender mustang blackstar and boss katana. It's a entry beginner amp not a 1000 studio amp

George, yes
Both amps have headphones input so if it is too loud you can always plug in your headphones

Glenn Fricker should see this

@@Erron_Onyx Mm, dude.

Thank you so much man,ill be buying this next month from pmt newcastle

How can you set the amp up to sound like the ambience preset? I bought the Marshall code 25, but my preset #3 doesn’t say or sound like ambience.
look at the manual or marshall online buddy, tons of help !
The presets are on there but you still have to muck around with fx
((Can you please test cort x300 electric guitar ))?????
If you model a cabinet, then feed the output into a different cabinet, which one wins?
No-one wins, will sound like mud. 😂
Some great sounds!
So the preamp is the "Heads", the Cabs are the "Cabs" but what does the Power things does ?!

is there anyway i can hook my pedals into this??
Hi Dakota, this is a regular guitar amp so you can plug into the front as you would any other guitar pedal. -Lee
Or get the 100 watt version which has an effects loop as well.
I have the code 50 but I think most presets are poor.
From what I hear, you should be using the web app to create your patches.
Chris Davies I do that but I am very bad at that. Fortunately there are some nice patches to be found at Marshall Code tools.

It doesn't sound alive to my ears.
Why?

This or orange crush 20?
THIS! I find Orange to be 'dry' I guess you could say, like a cold slap rather than a punch in the gut!
Orange all the way ♥️ better for crunch and clean.
Don t buy this pos. It statics after a while. Not sure why it does this
too much bass
i thought that too, but try in real buddy, UA-cam is an extreme turd and compress the sound , it doe not do justice :)
