Very beautiful. I'm sure my great grandfather (x6), James Robert Adair, would have been deeply touched--even if he did return to America and remarry after his interlude with the song's author
@ IndependantW - "rather poor rendition"! ...a very low-class comment. What's the point? Even if I despised a performance I would never publish such words on UA-cam. You are nothing but a troll. The arrangement and performance was delightful. If you are familiar with this song, you will know that it is sung from a woman's point of view. The arrangement is not exactly 18th century style, but here we are in the 21st century! (By the way, you spelled "independent" incorrectly.... duh!)
How unkind! And, BTW, have you any idea how hard it is to find men willing to join a choir? Ladies come by the armload, but men need to be found, then coaxed and wheedled. UNBELIEVABLE how they make the pudding more savoury!!!

This is absolutely beautiful, so exquisitely sung, it made me cry with joy! 🌸🌿🌳🌟
A very nice conductor and choir with beautiful music!
I agree! Absolutely lovely rendition. The conductor was a delight to watch; like a dancer!
I'm obsessed with this.
I loved it!
Gut!
This is my name My maiden name.
Lovely, poetic name! Musical 💜

Couldn’t have put it better myself! Very well said!
It was an exquisite performance!
Auf Klavier besser
A rather poor rendition of this old song. The group needs more male voices to give it depth.
