I’m a retired Chef of 28+ years and in my earlier years in the food industry I was working for a 5 star restaurant and the Executive Chef told us how we should never buy or use margarine because it’s only one molecule away from being plastic. The restaurant only cooked with animal lard. The only time we had liquid oil in the kitchen was when we used olive oils to make the house vinaigrettes or hollandaise sauce. I also learned about the secrets of Monsanto while working there….. I keep duck fat and beef tallow in my deep freezer for cooking, but even that’s starting to become questionable due to the “things” their injecting animals with nowadays. 😳
I’m planning on switching to exclusively using coconut oil to cook. It’s got the benefit of not being vulnerable to a toxic diet like animal fat.

@@LisaSoulLevelHealing Depending on the level of restaurant, you can ask to speak with the Sou Chef or Kitchen Manager and they will be able to tell you what they cook with. Majority of the time the servers won’t know.

I literally told my family about this almost a year ago and they all laughed at me. I stopped eating seed oils and they yelled at me. Now my whole family is storing lard and buying food with no seed oils.

From a little girl in the 90s my mom and dad taught us how to read ingredients and research what those ingredients are. Even if it sounds harmless, you got to look it up to be for sure! Outside of that, we were always taught to avoid P&G products and foods! It’s crazy!
Checking ingredients is truly a terrifying practice anymore. Everything is pumped full of chemicals that really shouldn't be in our food. Sucralose is in nearly all juices and drinks now, including things that never had it before.... Why? It's not good for you, in fact, very bad for you.

As someone who suffers from digestive issues I notice the difference between seed oils and animal fats or coconut oil. It really is a crime what these companies have been allowed to do and continue you to do.

I just realised it, but in the 1990's Korea, tuna cans were popular, and in the ingredients list, there was something called "myeon shil yu". It was written in the Korean alphabet, so I didn't know what it was. Now that I heard "cotton seed oil", that world sounds like transliteration of the Chinese or Japanese word 綿實油, which literally means cotton seed oil.
I wonder how many people have died of heart disease and cancer because of this trash (and continue to due to veg oils). It's time these companies were held accountable.

I started to have major digestive issues and had a number of embarrassing moments starting in my early 20s. I finally got to the bottom of it by going through a number of tests after I found out from the doctor that I was not only lactose intolerant; What they found was that my body's digestive system is highly allergic to trans fats. What's bizarre is that after 2018 when trans fats were supposed to be out of our foods I still get sick today on occasion. I believe some of the food companies are lying or not testing their oils accurately because trans fats are still in a number of foods out there!

If you haven't already figured it out, the manufacturers can say 0g of trans-fat if it contains less than 0.5g per serving, what they do is reduce the serving size to be below that threshold.

My wife educated me about hydrogenated oils when we were dating in our mid-twenties. Until then I had no idea. I used to be overweight and I think eliminating trans fat from my diet really helped.

After WW2, my grandfather got a job in a margarine factory. He was so disgusted and outraged, we grew up with his warnings never to touch it. Mum and Dad only got us fast food a few times a year, which I would pout about, but now-days I'm so glad I grew up with cooking from scratch, with lots of real butter!
Mum and Dad are now healthy in their 70s and are 100% medication free. Other *younger* family members who listened to their spouses about margarine being good are now suffering everything from cancer to crones.

My grandfather still cooks with lard. He’s in his mid 80s and besides forgetting a lot of things he’s not doing too bad. I remember growing up and seeing him cookwith it and he still cooks with it today. Don’t think he’s ever used any other oil for cooking. When I think about that and how the rest of my family cooks with vegetable oil and canola oil this video makes sense.
Your grandfather sounds like he is healthy but you can't use an example of one person to prove anything. There has to be studies with large numbers of people. Some people have different genetic makeups that can handle lard in the diet. So never rely on anecdotal stories. This was going on a lot during Covid 19 with all kinds of possible cures coming out everyday. You always need good studies to back up a theory.

Meanwhile in Eastern Europe, sunflower seed oil has been used for cooking for cebturies. Especially in Ukraine, to the extent that the sunflower is one of our national symbols.
This is why I prefer to use leftover bacon grease or butter for cooking eggs when I cook breakfast. I rarely touch seed oils in general, since they don't really taste as good as those two.

I am really impressed by the amount of research you do. I have switched to real butter but apparently I am going to have to look into what oils would be best. I don't know how this evil can keep continuing to happen. I guess some people don't have consciences.
Coconut oil and Highly-Virgin Olive oil are both a bit healthier than butter, those you could use or buy Manuel Lard. Or just make your own lard considering the suff that people inject into animals. 😳 Seriously.

Thank you for covering this topic. I'm glad people are slowly picking up on the evil that is the seed/vegetable oil industry. We need to start boycotting all seed oils and foods that contain them. Cut it out from your diet completely. If you need to eat out, ask the restaurant if they can substitute the oil for butter because you are allergic to the oil they use.
Get everyone you can off the oils too.
It's hard though. The seed oil cartel is a billion dollar industry. And almost all of the popular podcasters on youtube invite the sharlatans. (Joe Rogan here was an exception)

I started my war on rapeseed oil when I was at the supermarket and saw two bottles right next to each other, both the exact same colour, with one label saying vegetable oil and the other rapeseed oil, both being 100% rapeseed oil in their ingredients. The one labeled rapeseed oil was 3 times the cost.
Can you or someone please tell us the best oils to use?? This video shits on a bunch of oils rightfully so. But wtf how is it not gonna tell us what oils to use instead
@@kennguyen693 uuuuh go to your butcher and ask if they have lard or tallow. I use Olive Oil, and coconut oil depending on the use case (baking, or making curries for coconut). I also just cut back on the amount of frying I do. It seems that all of the least harmful ones are fairly flavorful tho.

According to Scripture all food is sanctified by prayer. Most people don’t even think to pray before they eat.
In northeast India, the hilly states use almost zero oil... They boil their food with ginger, garlic and use the broth...And people there are very healthy and have beautiful smooth skin .

In the UK, go into any supermarket and look at the ingredients on most ready made products and rapeseed oil is almost always in them. I can't even buy a lot of breads now. Put in the time and make your food from scratch. It's definitely worth it.

Grew up regularly being fed fried potatoes cooked with Crisco 😫 I can even remember my mom giving me a spoonfull of that shit telling me it was frosting as a joke... Glad I took the time to understand more about foods I was consuming when I got older.

I switched from having seed oils to lard and tallow over 12 years ago. I was low fat, but used them for things like stir fries. And the family cooked with them.
I was always washing hard, dark yellow stuff off then vent and surrounding area. Often several hours of work. Hours of hard scrubbing. Arms above my head while scrubbing the ceiling .
Since switching, a little soap and water clean anything off inlets than a minute.
This is brilliant! Going after the greedy fraudulent food companies now. Stay Safe.

Make sure it’s either self made or extra virgin. There’s been cases of fake “olive oils” in the market because companies are cutting them with vegetable/seed oils to maximize profits…
