I've watched this many times and still have no idea if the guys on the left and right are any good because I can't take my eyes off the guy in the middle. Incredible.
They are excellent. The guy in the middle is great too but either one of those guys could have done the same. He's just taller, and the guy in a group who stands up and says "I'm a big deal."
This is honestly the best version on UA-cam besides the original... awesome performance guys!!! And while everybody is commenting on the middle guy's dance moves, I gotta give props to the guy on the left for his facial expressions... really sold it! :-)
Did you notice that -- at the very beginning -before the dancing begins -- the tall guy gives his water bottle to someone to hold for him. Then the dance begins. Donna does this same move with a her martini glass in the original Perfect to a tee.!
WOW this was fantastic and the original moves were right on, right down to the McKechnie "double head bob." You should send this to Donna she'd be THRILLED. The middle guy--crazy good.
Stumbled onto this 11 years after it was uploaded but if you all responsible check in, thank you! loved it here from Scotland! Echoing other comments here, but the tall guy in the middle was incredible! Thanks all :)
I actually saw this number with the original cast dancers on Broadway. Well these dancers are not as technically advanced, but they do an excellent job of maintaining the general movements and spirit of the number. The tallest dancer in the middle, who was imitating the great Donna McKechnie, has a pretty good technique and he was a joy to watch. Today's overly trained professional dancers sometimes are overdone in technique and lacking in Emotion in spirit. These talented amateurs are great because they have the enthusiasm for the number and their Joy entertains the audience which is what it's all about anyway. I don't know when I've enjoyed a dance clip professional or otherwise more than this!
You guys did a wonderful job! What was obviously a TON of rehearsal really paid off. I've already watched this a half-dozen times and there will be more to come. Congratulations!
SO MUCH FUN! I loved watching this. Either the 2 guys or short or the center guy is a fucking giraffe! Nevertheless, it's super comical. I loved the movement of the tall guy's hair!
I wonder if this has become one of the most popular pieces in Michael Bennet's choreographic oeuvre, because folks at all levels don't seem to want to change it much, if at all. Very well done, gents.
Burt Bacharach should be honored by the gusto and skill in this performance. I had the time of my life watching it. This song was one of the high points in the extraordinary "Promises Promises". Those where the days of great musicals. Not the boring, cheap stuff of today, that with only few exceptions, show no class nor creativity.
Delightful! They got my head popping at the end! I would love to see them do Fosse's Mexican Breakfast now, but in full costume (and do this again in costume). All they need is a full production of the whole show behind them.
Guy in the middle: "When I'm not playing basketball in the NBA, I like to unwind with a little modern dance"
Now this made me laugh a little too hard 😂😂😂.
The man in the middle SLAAAAAYED my existence.
The guy in the middle has the sexiest legs! He nails Donna McKecknie's double head toss!
I've watched this many times and still have no idea if the guys on the left and right are any good because I can't take my eyes off the guy in the middle. Incredible.
They're short but terrific and so full of enthusiasm.
They are excellent. The guy in the middle is great too but either one of those guys could have done the same. He's just taller, and the guy in a group who stands up and says "I'm a big deal."
Awww, don't blame him for how the choreographer casts him. The center dancer is the Donna McKechnie role, who's supposed to get the attention.
the guy in the middle is my dance teacher and he tought it to me.
Its me sam if u are reading this : )
samantha solomon He’s awesome. And HOT! Hope you’re reading this too, Sam. 😋
How tall is he?!
Seriously this is epic I’m just now seeing this in 2021. Coolest thing I’ve seen on UA-cam all year THANK YOU I needed that smile today! Allison
Yes, how tall is he? All are wonderful but he really slays this… even wearing Donna’s trademark red! FABULOUS! Do tell,… how tall?! ❤️
This is EVERYTHING.
Its totally faithful to the original choreography. That's the real genius in their re creation.
I watch this every year. One of the best things on youtube. First I watch the original and then I watch this. Bravo fellas.
My favorite clip on ALL of UA-cam! If you're feeling down, this clip is sure to change that... LOVE THIS!!
This is honestly the best version on UA-cam besides the original... awesome performance guys!!!
And while everybody is commenting on the middle guy's dance moves, I gotta give props to the guy on the left for his facial expressions... really sold it! :-)
Dude on the left was really giving all the face dahhhling!!! All. of. it.!!! SO fun! ha ha
Did you notice that -- at the very beginning -before the dancing begins -- the tall guy gives his water bottle to someone to hold for him. Then the dance begins. Donna does this same move with a her martini glass in the original
Perfect to a tee.!
You better work that Michael Bennet original choreography! Bravo all three of you, hopefully you were rewarded with massages for your hard work.
I forget about this and every time I stumble across it again I’m filled with joy.

WOW this was fantastic and the original moves were right on, right down to the McKechnie "double head bob." You should send this to Donna she'd be THRILLED. The middle guy--crazy good.
The dancing here is fabulous but I also cannot get over how TALL the guy in the middle is... He makes those other two look like American Girl dolls.
I watch this when I'm sad at night :)
Same girl, same.
Came here to type these words and instead I found a magical sisterhood
SAME SAME SAME
And now they're all 70. What a world!
I'm here! This is a true stable every year!!
Is the guy in the middle really tall or are the other two just really short? haha
Yes
Stumbled onto this 11 years after it was uploaded but if you all responsible check in, thank you! loved it here from Scotland! Echoing other comments here, but the tall guy in the middle was incredible! Thanks all :)

WOW! The kick at 1:55 gave me EVERYTHING!
Beyond fabulous! Clapped the whole way through!!!!
Can we hear it for the world’s strongest dance belt which is being modeled by the very large tree like man in the center? LMAO
Ya nailed it - Vivien Della Hoya even entered with a drink in her hand... outstanding. Baayork, Donna and Margo ought to see this.... Congrats!
Still a favorite of mine. Brings a smile to my face every time I watch it.
This just makes me so happy
This is the greatest thing ever! I am in love!
Fantastic performance!
These three dudes rock, and they are my new heros.
stumbled upon this video which is almost as old as me, this is such a vibe 😍
The McKecknie double head pop at 1:48 is priceless!!
All male “Promises, Promises “ revival - Now that’s something I’d really like to see! ❤️
GREAT IDEA!!!
Most fantastic recreation of the choreography! I love it!
SO MUCH FUN! I loved watching this. Either the 2 guys or short or the center guy is a fucking giraffe! Nevertheless, it's super comical. I loved the movement of the tall guy's hair!

Rexcetera, please no more. Have mercy. I almost peed my pants from laughter. Either it's late and I'm punchy or you are one funny dude.

I'd love to just hear the audience on this by themselves. I'll bet it would be amazing. Great song. Great dancing too.
Wow! They really put everything they had into that performance.
Nicely done!
OMG this is now my favorite clip on youtube!
LOVE THIS!!! Just amazing!!!
I wonder if this has become one of the most popular pieces in Michael Bennet's choreographic oeuvre, because folks at all levels don't seem to want to change it much, if at all. Very well done, gents.
Awesome! This is the best "feel good" video out there! Love it!
Holy crap he NAILED IT!!!!!

FABULOUS! I can't believe they figured out that crazy amazing choreography...
Delightful! They got my head popping at the end! I would love to see them do Fosse's Mexican Breakfast now, but in full costume (and do this again in costume). All they need is a full production of the whole show behind them.
I'm watching this in 2024 and wonder if any of these guys made it to Broadway.
Good job. God that choreography is exhausting.
It's that time of year to have this readily available!
That was brilliant beyond what I can express.
This is FANTASTIC! lol. Donna McKechnie would plotz if she saw this! BadAss--all of you!!!! Kudos!!!!
This performance and song are excellent.:-D
