- We have mown, chopped, sheeted up the silage and now its time to spread some muck... We didn't know how much of an issue it would make to just get the slurry stirred.
Slurry kept getting stuck and had no gloves in the cab! Great!

You will learn Tom! I have a can of water and soap plus a lot of rubberized gloves and a spare coverall with me! :D
you the man
Another fairy
@@cowsrcool1103 Yeah! You are fairly right. :) Mishaps can be for sure even as a contractor on umbilical slurry systems and big tankers with subsoil-injection or drip-ramps.
Tom,
just after you picked up the big tanker in the case you mentioned your bag was on a little black step that puts the tractor into limp mode, it is actually an exhaust brake, use it to decelerate instead of using your breaks to save them wearing. It stops the flow of exhaust gasses just after the turbo which will create a lot of engine breaking and slow you down. You can use it as well as the normal breaks for when pulling heavy loads for example.
Thanks
Craig
I cracked up when he said my hands are covered in poo then he stuck his finger in his eye. pretty funny. great video. have to figure out how to find them in order.
Who else is proud of all the Irish equipment leading the way in England ? 🇮🇪🇮🇪🙌🏻
There’s no spec like hi spec
The Reds no
Of course lad we doing amazing 🙏🏽
МI Ollie sorry buddy 🇮🇪😂
Yes iarland
The pedal on the tractor cab floor is an exhaust brake meant for slowing the engine speed down when slowing down using engine braking 👍 will save the brakes on the tractor
Loving the videos Tom' n loving the smell of the country. Currently muckspreading wereci live I'd do my garden but don't think neighbours would be happy
The post on the floor is a great trick to let you know when you are far enough to the slurry pit, also works well when driving into a garage, so you can shut the doors behind you.
Before we went into lockdown when we were in school we were shown a clip in geography and I saw the ginger beard man in an interview, funny I was like oh it’s him from toms vlogs
The ginger beard man is his dad
@@lukemulcahy5202 no he isnt hes in the video
@@hugocharlesread3192 he is his dad
Funny I call every ginger make ginger moustache warriors lol
HaHa
The fourth pedal on cases is an exhaust brake to save using break pedal alot! Tip with the tanker, put pump to suck, engage pto about 400 revs and open rear valve. When tanker starts bouncing around the blockage is clear!
It still has to push out the lump afterwards though
Great job you ginger
6 is the series.
145 hp
R is the spec/type (E, M, R in ascending order).
6145R is a great machine.
“Nothing runs like a Deere”.
Very true. Very true couldn’t have said it better myself
That should read ascending order.
I have a jd mower and it cured me from ever buying anything with green paint again. I hate jd on a cellular level. Order parts from the dealer and pay 50% above any other parts place. Thatd be fine but everyone of the parts are stamped 'made in China'. Fuck john deere.
Richard Walsh
Yes it should, and was typed (subject to bloody autocorrect) as such. Now corrected. Many thanks.
Exactly!
Love all the drone shots in this one, really makes for a great vid
Love your videos Tom. We stumbled across them when searching for videos with cows on for our cow mad 2.5 year old son (we live on a farm and he loves our cows). Anyway, he could be your youngest fan?! 🤔 When we put the tv on he asks for Tom 😍
Hi Tom. It's 1:40am, and I'm too tired to read the other comments. I'm sure there are plenty of good suggestions here on how to keep a bit cleaner, so I hesitate to add another one without reading them, but well it's late and I'm tired... I saw that the poo on your hands seemed to bother you most. A box of disposable latex or nitrile gloves left in the cab all the time would mean you won't need to resort to an increasingly nasty towel. A messy job today for sure. You handled it like the pro you are and just got the job done. Good on you, Tom! Thanks for the video
These videos are the highlight of my day. As soon as I'm home it's the first thing I do. Keep up the good work. Thanks
thanks for sharing parts of your day with us.
Retired old fart in Denver, CO USA here. Always enjoy your videos, thank you for bringing them to us!
Hi tom, from what I have seen from your videos I think you and your dad mow the grass fairly short. I think if it was 0.5 centimeters taller it will restore so much faster. Just an idea from a dutch dairyfarmer. We found this a really helpfull solutioj for the grass. Keep up the good work Tom
Loved that music video showing the field and the world. Good job.
Thank you do much for the update on the littlest lamb.
We milked 120ish. We loved the 2000 gal hispec. When feeding bales we forked it to a different pile save on the stirrer and getting stuck in tanker. Brilliant video 💪
Absolutely brilliant aerial shots!
Been looking forward to the new video :)
Same
Loved the bubble drone shot of you tanking the field.
Hi Tom.
I'm in Australia and thoroughly enjoy watching your videos.
Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to the next one.
done many an hour doing that, but not without gloves! it's a horrible feeling when you hear a bang, look round and the drawpin has snapped and you are on a hill, going up! bet your neighbours in those houses love you today!!
great video good explaining of what's going on around your farm, fery interesting
"Getting poo everywhere" as he puts his finger in his eye, 😂
Another cracking video Tom!! Always enjoy your great content!! Thank you 👍😀
I'm glad there's no smell-o-vlog 😊
Tom, you really need to consider doing some merch like a poo poo 💩 shirt or 💩 hat. Sounds crazy but(t) (sorry! Couldnt pass that up😁) there was a popular tshirt in our area (Pennsylvania) called a dirt shirt. It was light brownish with little dots of darker brown all over it, kind of like spatter. It literally had “dirt shirt” printed on the front. They were everywhere! Besides, how much more green can you be than brown. You could say something like “the new green is brown. Spread the word” 😁👍 Take care and God bless you and yours!
Great vid Tom love to keep up with your life
Love all the action, great job.
I love watching your videos! I would love to come visit your farm if I ever got the chance.
Love u videos I live on a dairy farm I milk 70 cows and have 60 cattle I love massey ferguson and case and we just milked recorded last night and this morning
Great video would be cool to see a time lapse on the slurry pit
Loving the vids Tom. Top stuff!! My boys love seeing the farm too
Great video Tom 🚜 love watching your channel mate
I bet that Case will never go back. Fine tractor!
Omg what a good video! Where to start? Ok, the drone footage was even better then ever! How you did that super high shot, maybe with a fish lenses! Really nice effect. The poo! You both did so well not to get even dirtier! Another fan commented about bringing water and soap, but with all of the huge mess, I think it’s a lost cause! Outdoor hose, changes of clothes, lol. It’s just going to be one heck of a messy day! There are not enough Wet Wipes in the world for a day like this. You both did great!( and no eating while you were spreading poo, an improvement, way to go!) 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🚜🚜🚜🚜
That's cool how you farm greetings from the US. Los Angeles California

6:49 so cool and Tom you should really upgrade to that tanker
Loving the videos mate my baby boy also loves it especially the tractors. You looked a a bit deflated at the end but sometimes the days just don’t work out the way you hoped. Focus on how much you had shifted not what you could of 👍
It’s nice set up the case and the hi spec tanker 😯plenty of slurry out👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻😁😁
good video tom enjoy the weekend 😀
Tom with his editing skills yess plleeeeaaaasssseeeee
Reminds me of that song from Oklahoma - Slurry With a Crust on Top
A tank like that could benefit from a electric jet stirring shroud inside to clear the walls and pump inlet and a high pressure PTO pump with chopping blades to liquify before it hits the out pipe. No settling, no sediment and not stuck valves. With ours I attached an air pressure pump to increase the cover and ensure no clogs in the jets. When the brown’s gotta flow it’s gotta flow!
Farming is such a satisfying job like the mowing the lawn
MArina C. Not when you get covered in poo
Well done Tom grate video nasty job when not aggregate anough. Long gloves and soap that's farming you have to love it 👍🙋
Great video 👍 hope all that dry weather didn’t cause too many effects
Another good video Tom. Reminds me of many years ago I had an operation on my shoulder which meant my arm was in a brace for several weeks. Obviously this limited what I could do around around the farm (not possible to milk etc. with one arm), but could just about fill, drive and empty the slurry tanker. Only problem was that whenever it blocked up I only had one arm to unblock it - ended up each time with my good arm up the rubber outlet and it was like calving a cow but not nearly as rewarding 💩🤣
At 5 minutes love the song and your video editing is on point. Love your opening too about smash the like button and ring that bell. Classic TomP.
Awesome video man! 🔥🔥🔥
Good job Tom
Cracking video with quality content as always, Top Job!!👌
Hi tom, if i remember if its same as a New Holland that little black pedal is exhaust brake that why tractor feel like its in lip mode.
In New Zealand our dairy industry spreads the slurry through the centre pivots use for watering paddocks
Tom that "limp mode pedal" is for exhaust brakes, slows the tractor down for you when you are going at high speeds without touching the brakes to save them, also when you get out of the tractor move the pump to neutral connect the pipe and open the pipe and put the pump to suck and start pto
Great video tom
Love the channel mate from Australia
The second tanker has made a big difference to you putting poo on to your land. Great video Tom thank you
great video tom.
Also Tom when starting the pto start it on low revs and build them up
Nice vid tom iv had the same block tanker no gloves lol keep it up 😃👍
Lot of slurry out Tom ,fair dues to you Tom
hello Tom.
just place a water jerry can with tap on the steps on the right and you can wash your hands
and you are not with dirty hands on the steering wheel and controls of the tractor.
that was the first thing i learned when driving the tractor and later the excavator.
keep your own workplace clean!
Your drone skills are fantastic!!
With the lame ewe you were saying about we always use zactran on both sheep and cattle it’s basically another antibiotic it costs a bit more but we find it works better. Might be worth looking into👍
Great video 👍👍
Great video once again it’s a bit odd to me because you are getting ready for second cut and we are preparing our silage fields for first cut
Tom by end of tanking will be thinking of how much the separation tower will be to put back in working order . Good job Tom
when i’m tanking i take an old t shert or a rag to wipe my hands on and it works a treat would highly recommend it
U r my favourite UA-camr
ps another top tip if the tanker gets blocked just putt it in sucking and let the vacuüm comes up then u open the rear valve and it will suck back in, .....and hopefully doesnt gets stuck another time .....
:D
Tom,you should make a video of you showing Heidi how to drive the Hürlimann and the Case!!it would make a great sunday vid👍🏻
Fer play to u Tom great video love the videos If she’s a case give her some ace
Great! Drone footage.
Omg. There is so much to learn for every little task...and y'all get so much done. Amazing. 🐄 🌽 💩
I cut a cross on pipe at back about inch deep and when lump comes it will expand let lump out and you don't get all poo
6.40 noone going mention that sick bit of editing right there! Beautiful!
Hi Tom, if your sheep have bad feet try Zactran from your vets. I used it on bad foot rot and it's brilliant.
Another great video 🤙🏻🤟🏻👌!
Love to see the "that's what she said" in almost every vid😂😂😂Best farming ytber tom ur great keep going!!
BEST YT EVER
I am a John Deere certifiable fan, I drive my kids daft when I point them out whenever we see them. In fact nearly crashed the car once when I drove past a John Deere distributer in Fife! I also point out Massey Ferguson and New Holland’s because they’re a favourite too but I think you could be persuading me that Case tractors are a thing on my future tractor fawning 🤣👍🏻👍🏻
Love th video
Great video Tom. There’s mucking about, and there’s mucking a field, I know witch I rather be doing. Poking a stick up the business end of a spreader no thanks. Great vid great content.
Thomas, get yourself some waterless hand cleaner to keep in the tractors. Works great.
