    Case Description:
    Mr. Anuj Gupta lost his mother, Mrs. Bala Gupta, a few months ago. He had already lost his father in November 2018.
    After her mother passed away in August 2022, Mr. Anuj was finally able to understand that she had been sold a total of two insurance policies of Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company in February 2021 and September 2021, by Canara Bank officials and the policies involved annual premium payment obligations of Rs. 9,00,000 and Rs. 10,00,000 to be paid continuously till the year 2025.
    Mrs. Bala Gupta was deceitfully marketed both of the aforementioned products under the pretense of offering an investment plan with higher returns than a fixed deposit.
    Mrs. Bala Gupta was a housewife who relied on her husband's pension income to make ends meet. She intended to place the money she received after her husband, Late Shri Jai Narain Gupta, passed away in a fixed deposit as she has been doing from past few years.
    However, during one of her visits to the Canara bank with her son Anuj Gupta to have the fixed deposit issued, she was forcefully pushed into acquiring the Canara HSBC Life Insurance products mentioned above.
    Employees of Canara Bank and Canara HSBC Life Insurance worked in a nexus and encouraged this mis-selling, with employees prioritizing fulfilling their targets over the true needs and wants of the customer.
    After she passed away, Anuj went to the bank branch to withdraw the money she had invested but he was asked to go to the Canara HSBC Life Insurance branch instead. It was there that he received the right information about her mother's investments.
    In fact, these policies were sold to his mother as an investment plan from which she may withdraw the funds at any time after completion of the first year of investment. They were not informed of anything regarding the mandatory requirement of yearly investment of Rs. 19,00,000.00 in these policies at the time of policy issuance.
    Mrs. Gupta's sole source of income when she was alive was a small pension of about Rs. 19000.00 each month which she received after demise of her husband Late Shri Jai Narain Gupta.
    Anuj's mother had been renewing the fixed deposits that his father had made during his lifetime.
    All of the entries pertaining to the maturity and renewal of those fixed deposits are available with Canara Bank.
    The fixed deposit maturity proceeds were used to finance these insurance products that were improperly offered.
    On a closer examination of the insurance proposals, it became evident that in order for these policies to be issued, certain crucial details about Anuj's mother's age, occupation, and employment were manipulated. The proposal forms attached to policy number XXXXXX8518, issued in February 2021, falsely portrayed her as a widow of a retired employee with an annual income of Rs. 22 lakhs.
    Astonishingly, her income was shown to have inexplicably risen to Rs. 40 lakhs in September 2021, despite still being depicted as a widow of a retired employee.
    In reality, her actual income during the period these policies were issued did not exceed Rs. 2,30,000.00 per annum.

    It's a professional approach to get profit from investment of the money to capitalist system and bank employees are getting pressure to follow the process by superior management and some news paper have noted with the reports
