Hey jake, I have been fixing a lot of people's electronics for them lately and gotten really good at soldering the things I can see. Been doing a couple mods here and there on some gamecubes. I am looking to invest in a digital microscope, and was wondering what microscope you use like when you are doing the gba cpu. I want to start trying my hand at soldering smaller things.
I honestly don’t have a good recommendation for that because the one I have was sent to me for free. It’s okay but it sells for like $300 and it’s not worth $300. I would just try a cheap one to see what you think
@JakeSimmons Okay, thank you for your honesty. I have about $150 to spend on one. So, I will see what I can come up with for that kind of budget. I know there are a few good ones around that price. At least for starting out with. I fixed a few things for a couple people. Then next thing i knew i blew up with people being like so and so said you could fix this and that. There is only one electronic/phone repair shop anywhere even remotely near me(I live in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia), and they charge $80/hr for any kind of soldering work. Thanks so much for your videos and for being the best teacher you can be. I've learned so much. Never thought I'd be doing the things I'm doing now. I was always a soft mod kinda guy, wishing I could do hard mods. Now I'm finally getting there.
