    be honest
    start early, stay ahead to the teachers so that you can question
    engage yourself form yourself a question while sitting on the chair
    teach explain to some people so that you can have a conceptual understanding to a certain topic
    study often
    self evaluate you need to know what you are gonna do you have to take quizes ,,practices, write a question, write essay
    vark
    take a break
    have fun of what you learn
    set a goal

    Funny when I was younger I did not pay attention in class but now at 33 I feel that I am in the right class and very focussed looks like I have a lot of videos to watch and listen thank you

    I am just in love with u..I found your videos and lets just say I went through A&P in collage and got 100% on all my tests because I have followed this video and read then listened then watched talked and had fun...ur videos on all the systems and I can honestly say Yo I know my shi*...lol I learned..lol U are a natural at teaching...Can I get a pod on medical term lol and pathology?     This is a generalization that doesn't hold true for everyone. For me, I used to love asking questions and would sit waiting for my opportunity to ask them, but the anticipation of speaking in front of everyone, or even personally to the professor, made me very anxious, and made concentrating very difficult....

    I'm a freshman, and my Honors Biology teacher is dreadfully boring, and I cant pay attention in her class no matter how hard I try. I have a C in her class, and my parents are getting concerned, and are threatening consecuences. Do you have any suggetions on how to improve my grade?

    .... I would actually ignore the lecture just to try to hold the question in my head. The other option is to stop taking notes to jot the question down, which is also a blatant distraction. Now that I stop holding on to questions and just LISTEN, I do much better.
    And eye contact is not necessary at all. It's actually very uncomfortable to maintain and, once again, distracting from the lecture. I'm usually looking at my notebook or at the powerpoint, almost never at the professor.
