I love how easy these backgrounds are! I really think that you would like a stamp press. They are easy use and take away the extra time of having to use a marker to fill in spots. Plus there are other neat effects that can be done with them. The Tim Holtz one is good and very affordable.

Latex caulk tinted for texture paste. Who woulda thunk!! Got to be more cost effective. No wonder we call you the frugal crafter. These cards were a delight to watch you create. I love the way you tell us how to disguise our flubs, too. Now, to plan a trip to my local hardware for some latex caulk. (if it ever quits snowing and blowing!!)

@@thefrugalcrafter I have a question Lindsay. The first time I made this card a couple years ago, I notice that my brick came out more rough in appearance and feel (like actual brick). The bricks are darker like actual bricks. I think I used Paper Arts grunge paste (which is now completely dried up). This time when I made the card, for the bricks I used white Gesso plus the same brown acrylic paint as before, but the color is more caramel like, or latte. It's not as reddish/brown as actual brick and the finish is smooth, rather than rough. What would you recommend? Do you recommend I stick with the grunge paste? If so, is there a way to get it to be wet again instead of all dried up? I sure appreciate your help. I do wonder why the color is off too. Thanks!

You are so right about making a (I call it) the model card....or even a test card...you're absolutely right...it allows you to find out the challenging areas that need to be reworked. ..I have even taken off a part of the card that did not work...and just reworked thst part...something else you in another one of your videos...that I have also found makes SO MUCH SENSE...is when you've got all that paint out...and mixed media...snd the water...and all the mess that goes with it..if it's turning out right...why not create several?...next time...the color might not be right...might forget a step. ..whatever. ..making all those backgrounds, ect then saves so much time.. AND FRUSTRATION☺

I have been through all your links and have googled until I a blue in the face trying to find a site where you sell your cards or find anything that is even close in workmanship for sale and I can not find anything. I clicked the link for your website multiple times, and I get something different every 3rd time I click. Nothing that comes up has anything to do with you other than your name. Thank you I do see the stones I would not have thought about some little stones. So now how will those stones hold up through the mail. I was just thinking about the stones that I have on a dry embossing folder or a bright path leading up to and through the door as if the magic of the fairy would extend on both sides of the door. I also have the dry embossing fder for the wood. So I was thinking to do an embossing folder on a card stock and then use that portion fir the door. Then maybe some how draw a big old door nocker and or a window. I think a big door nocker would be fantastic for a door like this one. Maybe some ferns n or Ive crawling up n around the door. How about some flowers growing in n around the rocks just to dress it up a bit more. You do know that in most fairy tales the fairies can not generally be seen by the human eye or unless the human does already believe or other exist the fairy will always just look like alot of insects fluttering about in the gardens. I would have been happy to maybe see a fee of the smaller fairy fluttering around the outside of the door and around some flowers as if we're coxing the flowers to grow

I didn't see the mixed media until the day after I spent to much on the Tim Holtz and dies. I wish I had bought some of the mixed media the color and sparkle is beautiful.

I looked for them on line and they are 4.99 apiece. Going to try to figure out a way to use something else. Have lots of sparkly watercolors.
