Love this cake. Not too sweet which is great. We didn't go as far as the glaze though. Very light and delicious! Yielded 12 mini cupcakes (15min cook time), 12 regular cupcakes (20-22min cook time) & a loaf (60min cook time). Now that's an efficient use of my baking time! : D
Made this tonight. Substituted the sour cream with greek yoghurt. But the extra chocolate chips were just too overwhelming. No Dramas, the family didn't leave any crumbs behind. This recipe is really quite good, lovely and very moist. :)
I always use this recipe from you. I use hot coffee instead of boiling water to bloom the chocolate. this recipe is not too sweet and definitely moist. I also use this same recipe using 3 layers. Great work
Can I suggest a tres leches bundt cake with dulce de leche/cajeta on top?? Some bakeries sell it here in Mexico and my dad LOVES it, I would appreciate if you could recreate it so I can bake it for him 😄😄

i used this recipe but with a bit of change. adding melted chocolate to the cocoa powder mixture and i did not use sour cream (unavailable in my place), instead i used milk +lemon juice (aka homemade buttermilk). the rest is following the recipe above. taste really good. thank you sarah!

I'm making this now for Thanksgiving. The batter is like a pillow and it smells so good. I didn't have mini chips and didn't feel like breaking down regular chips so I just used them as is. I hope it tastes as good as it smells. Edit-Just tasted one of the mini bundt cake and it is super rich.

I made this recipe, waited 15 minutes and flipped onto a rack. The top of the cake got stuck and the cake was all crumbled on top. Luckily the bottom was intact so I cut some of the top for it to be evened out and put the ganache on top. Delicious cake

Hi, so this looks like a really good and not too hard of a recipe. Going to try and make it tonight for my dad but I don't have heavy cream. I only have skim milk. I did find that if you mix a certain amount of butter that would be work okay. Any thoughts about that? Thanks♥

The ganache was really good but the inside was so dry that with every bite i had to drink water or milk with it. do you store this cake in the fridge or leave it out? she said put it in the fridge before serving so I just stored it in the fridge overnight and ate it the next day. maybe its supposed to stay out?
Tastes great! I added a teaspoon of coffee to the hot water mix. Most upsetting, I followed the no more than 15min cooling, and the cake broke apart. Trying to find a creative way to present the pile.
Denis, I'm not sure if this is the answer you're looking for, but going by the Potato Latkes video it seems to be a Waring Pro. Not sure if that helps.
hey Sarah, i tried this recipe but not in the bundt pan. i used my microwave oven bowl. i baked it at 250 degrees for 20 to 30 mins but my cake top wasn't plain i got craked. i dnt where was mistake, could you please tell me??

Yes it is. I baked this cake today and it is to die for. I added a table spoon of instant coffee grinds to the hot water and coco mixer. Delicious

Gotta try the scratch method. The easy method is a family favorite (Lennon Sister's Mom's cake), but I'll bet Sarah's way is even better.

You could even replace the vanilla with peppermint extract...probably not a tbsp though. Mint chocolate chip devils food cake!!!!!
