Most people called Mike a brawler. I always called Mike a boxing master. Mike out jabbed Larry Holmes and most other heavyweights. Impeccable footwork that allowed him to reposition quickly and land a devastating punch. Underrated very fast hand speed. But, the most fascinating thing about Mike’s boxing skills is his ability to create punching scenarios. Mike could set punching combinations offensively or defensively. Pure boxer.

Holyfield and him was going to fight after the Douglas fight, but then Mike went to jail. Lewis at the time was KOed badly by Mikes training partner, then Mike was in or currently in jail around that time. A prime mike is a dangerous fight for anyone and I personally think he had the potential to be one of the greatest. My favorite boxer though personally.
