AEMO warns of gas shortages across Australia

- The Australian Energy Market Operator has warned states could soon face gas shortages.
AEMO says the gas shortfalls could begin as early as 2025.
Market-wide deficiencies are also expected to grow from 2026.
A lack of supply on the east coast could force gas generators to burn diesel to keep the power grid running.
The energy watchdog says more developments, including LNG import plants and pipeline upgrades, are needed to address gas supply shortfalls.
Never thought I’d hear the words gas shortfalls when we’re sitting on more gas than we could ever use.
You've got to hand it to the Government though: simultaneously destroying the country AND getting people to enthusiastically vote for it. Pretty impressive.

The United States is trying to pull off similar foolishness to force constituents into using electric appliances and cars, despite the fact that natural gas and petroleum are plentiful and efficient and stable energy sources. 🙄

Another example that should concern Australians regarding the direction of our country. We have gas. We have coal. We have uranium. We have iron ore and precious metals. The only problem is through a combination of incompetence and lack of foresight - other than appeasing minorities and winning the next election - we have destroyed our manufacturing industries and now the government are turning on primary producers.. I’m sure the Laborgreen government believes food and goods are miraculously created by Cole’s and Woolworths.. And now.. a shortage of domestic gas.. gee lucky electricity is so cheap 🙈
It's all part of the takedown of this country. We should all know we are rich in these products, but they want what the WEF want.
Australia energy regulators on their own web site said that the energy whole sale prices went down 60 % ladt year which should decrease the electricity , gas and fuel for customers. But till now its increasing .isbit albo allowed the energy companies to keep rices ip for 1 and hslf year till few months from election to ay look Australia i have done it again i brought prices down.
Yep, even if it’s only a dollar a week.
It's extremely difficult to comprehend the level of both intelligence and common sense from a government that allows essential services to deteriorate to the level they are in Australia.

Beware that those "gas shortages"are not based in regulatory bureaucracy as a way to force constituents to turn to electric appliances. 🙄

There is no shortage of gas. There is a desire to push people into these expensive Green renewables.

Hows it possible that theres a shortage? Victoria has basically banned gas and I live near Gladstone LNG and its huge? Or is this one of those man made manufactured problems.
Yep, where the biggest exporters of gas in the world by a lot like Poland is the third biggest gas supplier, and we produce 3 to 4 times the amount
electricity bills will be lower, because there won't be any power.
Still exporting it and taking the $$$ to brag to the country about a budget surplus
