@Jac2Mac No, it has been released only in Japan and Europe. You can play it in the R-Type DX version (Game Boy Color) which includes 3 games : originals R-Type 1 & 2 (monochrome) and DX (color).

Mega Man X It’s on was on GBC. R-Type DX to be specific. It had several games on one cartridge.
DX had R-Type 1 and 2 in black and white iterations, both combined for their color iterations, and a hidden drawing game.
