Out of all the comments I have ever received, and the potential help that I have given… This is the one I’m the most proud of!!! I’m glad I was of some help! 😆
the blue/magenta/yellow cast that you are talking about at 17:50 depends highly on the pH of color developer pH too low = blue/magenta-red cast pH too high = yellow/green cast the pH of color developer solution can be corrected by the addition of 10% NaOH/H2SO4
The punch and contrast of those colors make slide film so appealing to me ... and the super fine grain. I really need to shoot these last two rolls of E100 ...
Ektachrome is nice, I do wish they had multiple speeds like they used to when it was called Elite Chrome. I'm sorry you weren't around for Kodachrome, it was truly beautiful.
I totally wish I was there for that too! Would have been pretty!!!! It would totally be nice to have faster speeds of E100! That would be fantastic …. Hear that @kodak 🤣😆😜
For me, Ektachrome is too muddy could be due to the scans. I do also see the tint. Best Slide film I shot is either Agda Precisa 100 or Fujifilm Provia 100
Yes, I have noticed a blue cast on a lot of my E100 shots. At times, I just forgot that shadows would be extra blue. I sill love it and make sure to always have it in my bag. With exposure I have to prioritize what I want to look better: the film or the scans. It seems like when the film looks perfectly exposed, the scans will be a bit over exposed. I usually expose for the positive film itself to use in art.
X700 is an excellent camera dude, good for you. I had 3 of those but sold them all. Didn't used them that much so they had to go also I'm not a fan of cameras that depend on electronics/batteries to work.
@@BadFlashes I’m honestly not sure. There are a few options. Either: I contaminated my developer, the developer temperature was wrong, I screwed up the ratios when making the batch, I rinsed when I shouldn’t have between chemical baths, or the distilled water I used for mixing was too high in ph. There are a lot of things I could have done. Haven’t narrowed it down yet since I haven’t processed enough E6. @@BadFlashes 😂 just glad my old 645 doesn’t work, else I’d be even worse off! Double dose just for you! 🎉😆

Caleb: yes

My Grandpa shot slides almost exclusively. It's one of the few things I need to experience.
You G-pa know what’s up! You too will harness the power!
matrix metering is the key
That sounds pretty dope!!!
I always thought the blue skew was intended, like Ektachrome has blue on the box, Ektar as red on the box, etc?
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤩
Hi! Hope you’re enjoying your time out there. Can’t wait to see videos on Morocco
Thanks!!! 🙂 it will be an interesting one lol
You and Jason have the chemistry like Vuhlandes and Willem have. Seriously meant to make videos together!

I’m sure I can make that happen :)
you guys are lucky to have that sunlight, everytime I go to pismo or slo in general its always cloudy and miserable even in summer
Do a sun dance before leaving... that should help ☺️
love that "Monochrome" shirt Caleb!!!
Thanks!!! Glad you dig :)
Great video as always! What light meter phone app are you using? Getting tired of the sunny 16 way of shooting...thx n keep making these videos...
Lumu on iOS … and thanks :)
On your metering how do you split the difference when measuring for shadows and highlights?
Basically just expose what is in the middle. Say Shadows read 1/250 and Highlights read 1/1000 ... I’ll shoot at 1/500 .... something like that
What light meter app is that?
Lumu … it’s not bad :)
Thanks mate, I now that Ektachrome is the good stuff but I appreciate your video as always!
