I decided to bite the bullet and buy an iPad mini 6. I just unboxed it yesterday and I’m watching this vid on it right now. So far I really can appreciate the size of the device. It’s a perfect in between for when my phone screen might be too small and when my iPad Air or laptop would be too big and cumbersome. I decided to just get the base model with 64gb of storage because my M1 air has 256 gb and the mini is just meant to be a secondary iPad for me. However so far I foresee myself using the mini way more often than the Air as I have been on my mini all day yesterday and today and it has left a very good impression so far.
I just got one, I went with the 256gb cellular version although doubt I’ll use the cellular much but a good addition and absolutely love it compared to a bigger one so compact and just so cool
Welcome to the iPad Mini club my friend!!!! It is pretty awesome, isn't it!!! The size and performance is perfect especially if you don't need something Air or Pro sized. It is all about what belongs in YOUR work flow and fun times.
When you hold it vertically, as you scroll lines of text or websites, you can tell if you look really closely that their is a kind of pull from one side as you scroll.
Jelly scrolling is for people who are very particular type of personality. Pretty much the valley girls of the tech community. Like omg. But for normal people, who gives a crap lol we don’t noticed it lol
Watching this video from my iPad mini 6. I also own the iPad Air 4, which I predominantly use for writing my books, drawing, covers designs etc. my iPad mini is my daily tablet I use for media consumption, doodling, social media, reading, gaming etc. do not regret getting either of them, and I have only had the mini for about 2 months (got mine from Amazon refurbished)
@@CartoonDaily1 For painting, writing and media consumption. I love having options from the mini to the pro...I carry the mini around with me in my cross body
Great video! I own a 12.9" M1 iPad Pro and a Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra. I use the iPad Pro for illustration and studying. (I'm an Engineer by education and profession ... but former US Army Illustrator). I use the Samsung S8 Ultra for illustration also, but mostly for business (teaching Sunday School, Engineering work, etc) as it works better for me for those functions (I'm an Android and Windows person mostly). I just ordered an iPad Mini 6 today (for studying and illustration) to have a smaller, more convenient portable solution.
I got the 256GB. 64GB is doable if you limit installed apps and files and mainly rely on online storage (ie: iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc) or an external drive. I recommend the 256GB.
Ugh I want one so bad. I have 2018 12.9” iPad Pro that I watch stuff on sometimes but it’s too big to comfortably hold… the mini would be great for phone stuff like games and watching UA-cam vids etc browsing the internet and I have 2nd gen Apple Pencil on the big iPad but maybe I’d use it more on the minu
What you said is one of the many reasons why I am glad I got a iPad Mini since I own an iPad Pro! It’s an easier maneuver with an iPad while out and about!
@@AbdulAhadKhan-b4y 11 is a great size. Just depends on what you want to do. If I'm working on some drawing that I know will take a long, long while, I got my iPad Pro. If I'm doing some quick sketches during the day or something else....and don't want the large screen on my lap or at a table at the coffee shop....iPad mini.
THANK YOU!! I have been looking for someone's review that occasionally preaches and studies the Bible on the mini. I am interested in the mini, but my main question is how is the note taking experience in theological books that are more dense? Secondly, when preaching is there any drawbacks to how small the screen is (losing your place, having to scroll a lot because only so much fits on a screen, seeing the print because it's smaller)? Thank you for any help!
HI!! Thank you so much for your encouragement! No one really mentioned using their devices for Biblical content and it was something on my heart to do. Thankful to the Lord for your comment and question! So, the note taking experience and reading over books I think is dependent upon two things ... screen size and comfortability. I ought to make another video (maybe a Reel) and mention that Logos works AWESOME on this! I was impressed! So I'm always reading very dense material on the iPad mini but typically it's in an on-the-go scenario. If I'm really needing to dig deep....I'm on my MacBook using Logos and other books. If I need a Quick Look at dense information, the Mini does work well. I also use the app Notion to take notes. That and the Apple notes. Also, surprisingly enough, I don't lose the spot where I'm preaching. And, when I feel a little nervous about the possibility....the key for me is to enlarge the words JUST enough to where I can see. Not too large....just readable. I usually use Google Docs and download the doc before I go to a church or meeting. I'm sure there's better apps than what I'm doing. The Mini is slightly smaller than my Bible...so it's a great size, lightweight, and good for taking notes.
Wow… that is pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. I travel a lot, so portability and readability on planes is important for me. I wanted to ask about Logos, but wasn’t sure if you used the program so I’m extra appreciative that you mentioned that! Also, the Google Docs approach is exactly what I do when preaching, it’s a pretty good system.
@@MikeEd437 Thanks! And I’m very happy to share! I’m just glad to know someone who is also in ministry enjoyed this kind of content too!!!! I plan to do more tech reviews of the like.
@@CartoonDaily1 I've really loved it! I've owned several iterations of the iPad over the years, including a Pro. But, this mini is by far the one that seems the most useful because of it's size - makes it more portable, easier to hold for longer periods of time (which come in handy for e-reading), and great for note taking and planning (and the occasional mobile gaming; it being the mini allows me to pair it with an Xbox controller Otterbox clamp, and its still balanced when magnetized onto the controller). And I also use it for sermon notes as well. It's been a great all around device so far.
@@TheNerdyTexan Your description on how you use your iPad Mini is an awesome, full experience of why this particular iPad is so convenient and a perfect purchase. Thanks for sharing! Also, good to know you too also use it for sermon notes!!! I just preached using mine twice this past week.
Thanks for commenting! This is a great question. I think it would depend on what you will value the most for the iPad of choice….more screen (10th gen)…or a more mobile and lighter iPad (Mini 6). New iPads are coming very, very soon. I think a Mini 6 would be a great start, and then should you desire a larger screen you will have more choices in what could be days from now.
So I had the iPad 10th gen and honestly I barely used it so I traded it in for the mini and holy!! I’ve been grabbing that mini for everything… even for commenting right now haha
I have both the 10th and just bought the mini. The 10th I use for meetings and if my WiFi isn’t that great I use the bigger version. When I go to conferences tbh I would take both. It is a tough decision but I love both. I use my mini sitting on the couch watching videos and eating and taking it on the go. The 10th I have a keyboard and didnt want one for my mini. I just wanted it to be an iPad.
I have a iPad Mini 4 and wanted to upgrade to the iPad Mini 6 w/cellular and I’m glad I held off because for Father’s Day iPad Mini 6 w/cell is $100 off. In fact most the iPads @ Best Buy is $100 off! Great deal!
Haha, I wish! But no, not at all. I’m just one of a bunch of Apple fans. But, I’m also the kind of fan that likes a ton of different tech too. I’m assuming my vids are just getting caught in the algorithm involving getting those iPads out.

All the more the reason to have an iPad Mini! Thanks for watching!!! 😁

With the release of the new IPAD AIR (M2), it can be safely predicted what ipad mini 7 will look like.
Certainly will see! Hate the mini wasn’t debuted this past week.
