My 2016 is doing almost the same. P706, 707, 1702, 1921, U0402. Blind spot warning was first, then intermittent no start. Low battery, wrench, engine symbol. I guess I'll look at wires and go from there. Im thinking the lead frame. This is probably the best technical video I've ever seen. Great job!
At 12:20 in the video it shows how when the range sensor fails the gear shift indicator is blank. Of course it won't crank cause it's not sure the transmission is in park. I bypassed the starter relay at 15:20 to manually crank it with the key on so it would start. Once the transmission warmed up a bit the sensor started working. The dealer did the repairs but they would not cover it under warranty. Good luck.
Well it didn't work out as I hoped it would. Yes the lead frame inside the transmission is covered under a policy adjustment and replacement under warranty but it is not covered for a failure in the range sensor which is actually serviced by replacing the lead frame. Ford needs to see an active or at least history code for a speed sensor failure in order to fix it under warranty. Since it didn't have the appropriate code/s when scanned by them they would not do the repairs under warranty.
Had identical issue on 2013 150 ..no crank .. no power to starter lead… after 2 days of chasing wires … I replaced negative battery cable on a whim .. turned key to accessory position .. got all shift indicator lights .. fired right up ..after seeing all the codes that the truck threw and days of cleaning connectors .. and hours of frustration… it was a damn negative battery cable .. hopes this helps someone
This is toatly the issue with my 2011 F150 5.0. I get the PO705 error and the truck will not crank. Mytruck is just sitting there. At first I thought it was the starter and I replaced it. Still no crank and this code popped up. I want to get it started so I can get it over to the mechanic. Ill try this method. Thanks for the help.
When I use to work at a school bus garage we had a lot of cold related problems. I Remember when they changed to a different alternators on the buses, when there was a lite fluffy snow the alternator would quit working. Turns out the brushes were on a pivot and freeze away from the contact points. Time you would get to the bus the alternator would be working because the heat of under hood temperature would thaw it out. To awhile to figure it out.
The assembly has been recalled for the 2011 & 2012 and Ford Trucks/SUVs with the 6R80 Automatic Transmission. The faulty Molded Lead Frame Assembly, which contains the range sensor, is back-ordered 2 years as quoted by Ford today. The replacement part for the Recalled Lead Frame Module is required to fix the PCM issue. Most replacements performed properly fix the other transmission issues. I'm going to replace the Lead Frame Module this week after the replacement part arrives (available only through O'Reilly Auto Parts and NOT from Ford parts dept.). The Ford Part is #AL3Z-7G276-D (unavailable anywhere in the US) and Ford takes no responsibility for the back-order delay or their inability to remedy the situation with a solution. Today was told - 'sorry' from Larry H. Miller Ford in Lakewood, CO after waiting 5 hours for a 45min recall appointment made two months ago. My remedy - replace it yourself! with Tech Makuloco's video tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/4Ng3HJdyyoM/v-deo.html
I've got a 2011 f150 5.0 motor. No crank no start I can jump the starter but won't turn with key. And won't start when jumping starter. There was an after market stereo put in I pulled it out one day because the way they hooked it up it was always pulling power and draining my battery . Well after unhooking it truck wouldn't start they had jump wires going from here to there but wiggled wires and it started a month later truck wouldn't start now I'm woundering if its the wires again

What was the issue and how did you fix it ?
Read through the comments on this video..the internal lead frame was bad. Dealer did the repairs.
Glad you got it running so you can at least get it to the dealer. If it works out, post a update! Thanks Phillip.

@@PhillipBailey for replacing the TR sensor or speed sensor is not needed to replace the lead frame, correct?
@luisrosas836 I believe it is all part of the lead frame. I never actually replaced it though, the dealer did.
@@PhillipBailey In my case they had to replace the TR sensor harness, just took it back from the mechanic, just FYI. Have a nice weekend
THIS WORKED!!!!. The error code went away too. Thanks a ton.
Thankyou. It will likely need the range sensor in the transmission replaced.
Did changing the lead frame fix the issue tho?

although negative battery cable, did it have the same failure code?
Thank you.. This is a great video.
Très utile merci. J’ai réchauffer ma transmission et le problème est résolu je peux me rendre au concessionnaire.🎉

in the end what happened?

Weren't those lead frame assemblies recalled at some point?
Yes recall 19N01 but not specifically this problem. We are hoping the dealer will do this under warranty.

So helpful
Is a switch on/off ?? Simple two pins??? ..thak
The range sensor is not a simple switch and internal to the transmission harness.
Any update on this? Was it the transmission range selector? Have the same issue! Thanks jeff
