My last Vice guide was 8 years ago. Its been a long time without one of my spirit mains :( Its a shame she came so late in the cycle I suppose, but glad to have her finally here in the end. Got the classics, her invincible command grab returns, some of her CvS2 swag is back, good times ahead.

Roof I’m so glad that both of us won this trailer. You get your Wife Vice coming back to you after so long. And I finally get to play my Wife Mature back too. Both of us get to win. And it’s also kind of funny how both of us only like one and not the other. But I’m really happy we both get our characters back it feels good.
I can see your Happy face, Roof for see Vice back with all his long range Command Grabs and original design, all the Orochis are back in the house,except for the God Orochi himself that in the case there a Season 3, Orochi gonna be the next boss for the Boss Challenge.

I've have been loving your fighting game videos. This year I've been getting into fighting games for the first time and I've been loving it. Started by playing Tekken 8 then Sf6, and now KOFXV. I am also look forward to play Fatal fury city of the wolves when it releases.
They've really refined the art style they have with 15. You can tell the lighting work they've been doing in cotw has been contributing to their work in the engine in general

Question that’s been on my mind for a while now: what exactly are Vice and Mature’s relationship? Are they sisters? Besties? Lesbians? All I know is that they’re pretty much inseparable. I don’t mind not getting an answer, but that was something sitting on the back of my mind. Funny enough, the reason I bring this up is because of…ugh…the live action KOF movie. Where there are some hints that they may be a couple. But then again I try to ignore that movie complet.
They are orphans that were raised together. The closest thing you can consider them is childhood friends/rivals. They tolerate each other's existence but wouldn't mind killing the other if they become weak or are an obstacle. So it's like how you may dislike someone but due to circumstances you have to maintain a good relationship.

it's worth trying both and seeing which type your more into they play very differently. that being said these days idk if kofxv can stay active without constant updates but i think it's popular enough that kof fans will keep playing it even with a lower player count I mean they brought back kof multiple times from the dead so kof fans are very dedicated to the franchise. i would honestly say just go for what type of game you prefer and if you want to get a hands on experience try one of the cheaper kof games and the original garou mark of the wolfs first just so you can get a understanding of each game but obviously only if your not sure which one to get after seeing gameplay.
It's worth it to me, a casual player. I enjoyed spectating KOF XV matches, so I started with buying KOF 2000 & KOF 14, paying $10-15 each, to see for myself how I felt about the games. I also tried Mark of the Wolves for the first time this year. I wasn't into it because I much prefer how KOF games feel (I've heard Mark of the Wolves described as playing more like a Street Fighter game). I like the upbeat pace, the acrobatic jumping, and I love much of the KOF roster. I like 3 vs 3 matches (the Wolves games are standard 1 v 1 matches). Fwiw, I mainly play Guilty Gear (Strive & Xrd), Under Night In-Birth 2, and I haven't gotten Tekken 8 yet, but I think I'll like it more than I did Tekken 7. And I prefer Marvel games to Street Fighter games. Browse through videos uploaded on the KOF XV REPLAYS UA-cam channel to get a taste for how the game can be played. With 50+ characters, and teams of 3, matches don't all feel the same, because there is so much diversity in how the characters are built. tournaments on Tampa Never Sleeps' UA-cam channel can also show you some KOF 15 action, and those tournaments have commentary which can help familiarize you with how KOF works. KOF is like soccer, it's much less popular in the USA than it is in other parts of the world.
For reference, the last character SNK added to KoFXV was Shijo, and that back at November 2023. They just casually dropped two new characters to the game over a year since the last one. XD

Its actually a grounded version of her classic move called Sacrilege (623A/C) (at least this was the name of the attack in KOF98UMFE). It was basically her dp (where she jumped in an arc and attacked with aerial swinging arms while laughing at the opponent). And I think in KOFXV it will be treated as such like a dp. But what's unique to her is that she can EASILY actually full combo after her dp meterlessly (while the initial hit is opponent standing on the ground midscteen). Looks pretty good. But these are only guesses.

To be real here KoF was a franchise I got into during my late teen years to early adulthood(late 2000s-mid 2010s for perspective). I knew of them franchise and the games. First time I technically played any of these games was when I was 4-5 and it was at an arcade, from that day forward I always been a Terry and especially an Iori fan. All this to say that I really don’t know much of the characters or even their names. Ik how they look but that’s it. Ik more of the classics ig you can say. So Kyo, Mai, Iori, K’, Geese, Rugal,Leona,ect. With all that context out of the way. Mature and Vice look cool af. I can’t say which of the two look more appealing to me because I like the crazy nutcase type in fighting games but I also like the elegant(even gaudy) type too. I think I might like Vice more cause of command grabs and I like grapplers of any kind wether it’s their all thing or not

I bought this game last week with everything but the latest fighter pass. This week the Fighter pass was half price so I got that too. Amazing Roster. Been having fun with it. Been getting stuck on how to follow some of the harder move lists. You do a main move and then follow up moves that’s not always working for me. The new Characters look pretty cool. I learned a lot from your video.

They look soooo great, way better than I expected actually. My only wish is I'd love to see their KOF13 climax moves come back again. I know that's an unrealistic thing to wish for but those moves were some of the best supers in SNK history
It's funny that you say Vice is the bread winner. I have always felt like the devs preferred Mature a little bit but I guess VIce has been in slightly more games. They both look so good now, love Vice in particular.
While there's never been a great explanation, Vice and Mature only returned when the seal between the human realm and spirit world was on the verge of collapsing. They haven't done it on a whim. They were gone for the Orochi finale, the entirety of the NESTS saga and the first two-thirds of the Ash saga. It took the threat of Saiki and Ash deleting the dimension in which Orochi ever existed to summon them back. And Verse's dimension colliding shenanigans were the fallout from that. People act like Vice and Mature are always showing up, but if not for this ultra last second DLC it would have only been KoF13 and 14 that they participated in tournaments since their deaths. (Dream matches don't count.)
kof matchmaking was much more broke than that, and for like the entire first year of the game. There's a reason why it was such an albatross over the game. Its fixed now but it did permanent damage to the games reputation
I, too am a Vice super fan and can't want to add her to my grapple teams. You mentioned the walks and i am hoping that Vice has all the motions from the weird crawl thing she does when walking back long enough to the neck roll she does going forward. Excitement!
I would have preffered the kicks stay (one of my favorite moves in fighting games) but they both look devilishly good regardless. Interesting choice to have the follow up for the powerbomb, but not for the tackle.

I'm really happy with how KOFXV turned out. It's a fantastic way to close out the year and wrap up this chapter of the game. That said, I'm still a bit greedy and would’ve loved a Season 3, but I understand that City of the Wolves is the priority now.
?? People have been playing kof15 pretty consistently. The issue was that not everyone has their settings to Any region matchmaking and typically stayed in their region or played in casual matches.
@AlchemistStar50 I have it set to Any, cannot find any ranked and I'm lucky to get three matches in casual in a given night. Maybe two lobbies will pop up in search. Just feels fairly empty
@jasonsantiago6308 that's strange. I've been able to get multiple games on ranked and even played a couple 2 hrs ago. It may have to do with the usual time I play at (which is like midnight to 3am EST). If you want to, we could do a lobby match in like an hour from now?
Since most DLC characters have a 2nd outfit, fingers crossed for them in their pant suits & Mature with eye patch. I still think we might get Krizalid as a bonus boss.🙏🤞

I'm on with Kof 16 is after Art of Fighting game. With each game, their art direction is going better and better, CotW is gorgeous, the only thing I wish that they would differentiate or/and experiment with styles. I do hope we might see NeoGeo Battle Coliseum somewhere down the line along with World Heroes.

They look soooo great, way better than I expected actually. My only wish is I'd love to see their KOF13 climax moves come back again. I know that's an unrealistic thing to wish for but those moves were some of the best supers in SNK history
It's funny that you say Vice is the bread winner. I have always felt like the devs preferred Mature a little bit but I guess VIce has been in slightly more games. They both look so good now, love Vice in particular.
While there's never been a great explanation, Vice and Mature only returned when the seal between the human realm and spirit world was on the verge of collapsing. They haven't done it on a whim. They were gone for the Orochi finale, the entirety of the NESTS saga and the first two-thirds of the Ash saga. It took the threat of Saiki and Ash deleting the dimension in which Orochi ever existed to summon them back. And Verse's dimension colliding shenanigans were the fallout from that. People act like Vice and Mature are always showing up, but if not for this ultra last second DLC it would have only been KoF13 and 14 that they participated in tournaments since their deaths. (Dream matches don't count.)
I HAAAAATE when people don’t realise that match making will always be problematic at the beginning. It usually gets fixed.
kof matchmaking was much more broke than that, and for like the entire first year of the game. There's a reason why it was such an albatross over the game. Its fixed now but it did permanent damage to the games reputation

I, too am a Vice super fan and can't want to add her to my grapple teams. You mentioned the walks and i am hoping that Vice has all the motions from the weird crawl thing she does when walking back long enough to the neck roll she does going forward. Excitement!

I freaking loved playing mature in the older games! She and Rugal will always be on my 3 when she drops.
I would have preffered the kicks stay (one of my favorite moves in fighting games) but they both look devilishly good regardless. Interesting choice to have the follow up for the powerbomb, but not for the tackle.
Kof is the purest fighter. No silly gimmicks to rely on. Just old school classic and pure fighting game.
Balance patch and new characters! KoF is extremely big in my country, but the playerbase has always kinda scared me. Would you say it's a great time to get back into the game?

I'm really happy with how KOFXV turned out. It's a fantastic way to close out the year and wrap up this chapter of the game. That said, I'm still a bit greedy and would’ve loved a Season 3, but I understand that City of the Wolves is the priority now.

?? People have been playing kof15 pretty consistently. The issue was that not everyone has their settings to Any region matchmaking and typically stayed in their region or played in casual matches.
@AlchemistStar50 I have it set to Any, cannot find any ranked and I'm lucky to get three matches in casual in a given night. Maybe two lobbies will pop up in search. Just feels fairly empty
@jasonsantiago6308 that's strange. I've been able to get multiple games on ranked and even played a couple 2 hrs ago. It may have to do with the usual time I play at (which is like midnight to 3am EST). If you want to, we could do a lobby match in like an hour from now?
Since most DLC characters have a 2nd outfit, fingers crossed for them in their pant suits & Mature with eye patch. I still think we might get Krizalid as a bonus boss.🙏🤞

I'm on with Kof 16 is after Art of Fighting game. With each game, their art direction is going better and better, CotW is gorgeous, the only thing I wish that they would differentiate or/and experiment with styles.
I do hope we might see NeoGeo Battle Coliseum somewhere down the line along with World Heroes.

I finally have two characters that I can confidently play I really gel with With these girls since I have older kof games specifically 96 and 98 And I really really love playing with vice and mature. And since I'm already pretty good with King, I have my team set finally.
