Try contact cleaner for the corrosion in the plug and socket.
You’re friends with the mustang lifestyle guy… why not just do it the smart way since you already have the interior and swap to 2011+ wiring / ECU completely. Less headaches , factory set up, can use the Electric steering , etc
If you can use a pin removal tool, you shouldn't need to cut the wires from either plug side and clean them up without replacing them both. Take pictures for repinning them after cleaning up the plugs and pins. Pins are easier to replace than splicing in new plugs into the harness and cleaner. They should snap back in after cleaning with the pin lock for the plug blocks.
Woa! Looks hectic bro!
Prob refrigerant from discharging from the schrader valve that’s usually on that side
Let’s goooo man I new you was going to fix it can’t wait to see what you got next for it
All of the modules in the car communicate with each other and the ECU. If you have mismatched components with BCM’s from the 3V mixed with the coyote engine how is everything supposed to even properly work?
Loosen the bolts in the engine bay fuse box and pull up when they are loose to separate the box from the wiring harness connectors. Then check all connectors to make sure nothing is burned. I can’t see how you are using the 3V box with the newer engine. You need the complete wiring harness with the ECU, etc. I feel if you bastardize it as is you are setting yourself up to have an electrical fire with that car.
Maybe first off take a used toothbrush and some WD-40 and soak the pins on the plug and plug holder. Use the brush back and forth, then let air dry or just use low compressed air. Try not to cut the wires unless you absolutely have too. I've used this technique on my 280zx Z car's plugs (connectors) and contacts and it helped a lot. Anyway glad to hear you may have found the culprit. Good luck man!
That green liquid looks like AC stuff..either the Freon or pag oil one in my 97gt was green like that
You can clean those
Agree good news let’s go!❤
Try water with baking soda it may desolve the acid...at least try before cutting
Don’t cut those plugs. Just get electrical cleaner and clean them
Can you clean it off with w D40? 4:26
CRC Contact Cleaner or CRC Corrosion Rust Removal
The guy's at the store should know which one is best
@Johnathan Harder
You need both harnesses... swapping out the plugs only isn't going to do sht but cause you more headaches... water damage will wick up the wire -tavarish had a great explanation on the latest p1 vid, not enough char here to explain ,tried to DM u on IG but that needs to be accepted
Dm me again, i cant see it
@JohnathanHarder just sent you a friend request on there, it's saying my message needs to be accepted or some such nonsense
Nice
I'm no mechanic but I would just replace the whole harness, it's a possibility that the corrosion is in wires
Buy a new body harness because then you would know that it’s fixed.
how do your neighbors feel about the loud af mustang ? 😂
Just de-pin it n clean the pins … save urself money
Look around in the junkyard 🤷♂️😭
why wouldn't you just spray it with wire conductive cleaner ???? be all set
You should talk to your friend Andrew didn’t he help you in the past with things that we’re going wrong with the mustang and also with your Corvette that you had or do you not talk to him anymore?
I know the problem. You ain't got no gas.
First!
