- In this episode of Wood Vibrations, Mike Dawes teaches some advanced percussive techniques, plus how to play the middle section of his song "Overload."
And that's all there is to it 😀 thanks Mike. You make it all look so easy. Practice, practice, practice.
That's another whole level of percussive skills to learn!
love it, this is a lesson ive been looking for!
You are superb mike
First part reminds me of Darshan Ambient - "acre of sun". Nice.

Excellent . All the very best Alan .
Very hard for me

WHats the deal with that pickguard? Thought he used it for some kind of drum sound but i didn't see him go there.
what height of low action do you recommend ?
I have a doubt do anyone knows what is the name of the wooden thing near sound hole
13:26 a piece of spruce glued on the top he uses to get a washboard sound.
Can we buy it
@@sreenavdiya7222 you have to bring your guitar to a luthier, they will card a piece of wood, shape it, colour it if needed and glue it following the shape of the cutaway.
what is the name of the guitar
which mic is he using?
I have to be honest
You maybe just a tad bit more talented than I am.
what do you define as talent? like, is talent even a thing? If it is, then it just makes you get some things down easier. Personally, I believe in hard work, and that hard work surpasses talent ;)
to be honest it is essential to have some experience in guitar to be able to play this. A beginner will have a really tough time learning this, but even if you aren't a beginner, ay don't give up it's not easy ya know
@@JohnTsiv thanks
Didn't mean to offend
Just compliment
@@kevinbarr9003 oh, my comment wasn't meant to be aggressive, sorry for that just wanted to help, anyway good practice!
oh and have fun :)
@@JohnTsiv it wasn't aggressive
I just say "No Offense" all the time now
Seems easy to offend others anymore.
@@kevinbarr9003 true
Too fast, didn't break it down enough. Couldn't follow along.
To hard omg
Just buy a drum kit and get it over with!
