The shower solution is great. If we look at time we spent inside the van, the shower/toilet are BY FAR the places where you spend the least the time. It therefore fair and clever to have a shower/toilet system that is just hidden away when not being used. Much better than having a fixed monolith inside the van.
Unless you have ibs
I love this van. I would put magnets on the bottom of the shower curtain too.
This is one of the simplest but cleanest design for a 144. It has everything you need, exactly where you need it to be, and the execution was flawless. The gentleman who designed and built this van is so generous in sharing the links to all the products he sourced to execute his vision.
The seamless shower curtain and nozzle mounts in the ceiling are brilliant.
That table top was a work of art! I like those removable showers, they’re a much better use of space. Since you designed that clever magnetic extension base, i would have popped a few small magnets in the bottom of the curtain to stop it clinging to me as shower curtains are notorious for.
Thanks! We wanted to go with magents at first but stainless steel is non ferrous! Magnets wont stick to it!
@@RoamOverlandVehicles would you put a link to the shower curtain please?
@@patriotoftruth8542 www.xplroutfitters.com/accessories.html
@@RoamOverlandVehicles Not all Stainless Steel is non magnetic. Some grades are weakly magnetic.
Wow, that table is STUNNING! Love to see a video of you creating these! :)
I've been looking at builds and this is a really great design for a smaller van!
Your build quality is second to none. Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship, and great innovative ideas. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I have been thinking about the most optimized inside shower for space, and wondered why no one did it in the open floor area. Finally, I see what should have been done, done. Actually my thought was to have all the floor part be the shower pan and make sure the vent was directly above it
Love your van built.. Very stylish, beautiful design, unique sliding doors and doesn't need any hydraulic lift. The cool table and your pretty neat garage! Very nice van indeed. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing job, love the shower design
Very clever use of the space, love the shower setup, that's brilliant
Everything is perfectly presented in great detail and everything in there is executed close to perfection so all I can say is bravo !!!
Great stuff. Really looking forward to what you do in the Unimog
Hi Dan, great&light setup on one minimum of space!!! Your Shower solution :-O Wow!!!
One of the best 144 van designs I’ve seen. Someday 🤞🏻
Great vanbuild. We really like the details. 👌🏻
❤❤❤ that table !! great job Christina
This is beautiful!!!!!
Very thoughtful and innovative..
I extremely like the video, man. Very helpful and informative. Thank you very much. It is presented so well too. Great, positive work.
Look awesome! Excellent build!!!
the hidden shower is fantastic! Thx for sharing!
Yes that table is a work of art just beautiful.
Your vans are beautiful and well-designed. After seeing so many van builds, I can’t see buying a ready made van from the traditional manufacturers like: Winnebago etc... I definitely will have my van built to my specifications. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙌🙌🙌
You guys thought of everything👍🏽Awesome ❤️❤️
Sick all round art piece bro. Looks fantastic and no doubt functions just as well
Love the shower.
Only thing I'd add are some magnets attached at the corners and "door" of the curtain so it'd adhere to the steel sides of the pan.
Nice design. I will adapt your shower design for my new build. Thanks for your tour. Job done well!
Great build, very smart ideas, and links on the comments. You guys rock.
Wow, not only is the Design & Engineering superb, the attention to all detail is the best I have ever seen. The table is a Work of Art. I wish you enormous success.
Great job guys!
Great Build! Wish you much success!
Oooooo I like. Cable management goals on the electrical system.
Nice attention to detail!
I love the sliding doors in the overheads. It wasn't lost on me that the door edges are hidden behind vertical stiles when closed. Very very nice. Then you presented the table top... oh, baby that is nice. I will watch and shut up.
Phenomenal build! 👊🏼👍🏼
Great vehicle! I love the shower
Dang that's beautiful.
Amazing build!
Beautiful build
freakin brilliant!!!! love it!!
You made me laugh , going in and out of the shower couple of times 🚿 🤣 😂
Fabulous! i could live there!
Hi , I found this video by accident! This is amazing. I also have a camper van like yours being conversion in China. Thanks for the video, it gave me a lot of inspiration!
We would love to see your progress! Send us some pictures on Instagram or through our website!
There are no accidents 🙂
Hidden shower is so cool
Nice, he got the Marshall Killburn II bluetooth speaker. I have one too, and I will also be putting it in my van.
This is beautiful🎉
that table is GORGEOUS
Thank you! We try and make a custom one for each van we build.
I really like what you have done❤
Excellent design.
Beautiful. Magnets in the bottom of the shower curtain would be great. Love the colors. Great job!
We wanted to go with magents at first but stainless steel is non ferrous! Magnets wont stick to it!
Sewing a small chain in the bottom seam of the curtain would weight it down some to help with that issue.
Sweet van! My only wish would be to have the shower pan between bench and passenger seat , makes more room for stepping out and getting to your things.
Damn metal cabinets, thats dope
All the camper, rvrs, vanners and car dwellers need the shower setup@!
This is really well done. My o lay complaint about these van conversations is the low fridge. I would prefer the fridge be mounted up higher for easier access. Also, could the bed be put on a hydraulic hinge so you could lift it up from inside the van? My IKEA bed has this and it is very handy.
Fantastic build! Were you able to adjust the speedometer fir the larger tires? Thanks for sharing!
Classy!
Beautiful👏👏👏👏
I'd put glow in the dark ties or fairy lights on the canopy poles and guy ropes so they can be seen in the dark.
Ok now this is nice 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hey guys, I am blown away by the layout you put together - It's really clean and crisp. Also the ideas you had here are just brilliant. I especially like the shower set up.
Is there a chance you could tell me which lights you used in the bed area - the ones with the red light function and the integrated USB port? I can't find anything that is even close to that pretty and subtle online.
Anyway, great looks and build quality. Keep it up :)
Thank you!
Here’s the lights we used. I wish they had them in black.

@@RoamOverlandVehicles Awe, cheers for the quick answer, I really appreciate that :)
amazing
Love the open space design. We are building one similar but am sure it won’t be as good as your. Love it! Would you post link to the awning please.
That’s awesome! The layout works really well. It doesn’t matter how fancy the build out is. Wether it’s an air mattress in the back, or a full professional build out. As long as you’re out there enjoying it is all that matters.
Nice 👍🏽
Great idea 👍
We did get what you said about the shower curtain, can you clarify ?
Thanks
wish I knew about the motherboard coating for the maxxair fan, mine has had the green beep of death a few times.
Great build! Very nice. I'm very curious about the 5 inch shower panels you show. You mention their magnetic? Where did you find these?
We had them custom made at a fabrication shop.
Having to spray conformal coating on Maxxair makes me wonder about the rest of their quality process. My Maxxair went belly-up before I even got the trailer home!
Excellent build. You thought out energy efficiency too. Whats the MPG? One concern is the usual low MPG on most vans. Living off the grid sounds interesting for brief periods, less interesting is the carbon spewing into the atmosphere. Have you done any pure EV builds?
I’m biased, I drive an EV with 120 MPGe.
Love this build! Quality! Can you point me to the automotive fabric you used?
We use marathon fabric that we buy through panther RV out of washougal WA. Hope that helps!
It is truly art. I just wanted to add that the links above, many must be truncated rendering them inop.
I’ll check it out! Thank you for letting me know!
for me the most important thing about this van is that it is very narrow and very high and that is because of the rear-wheel drive. This Camper has in the rear windows some added protrusions to be able to sleep wide that you can buy it from the factory but if you want to camperize it then you hold on and you have to sleep along losing interior space. Being so high in size it has a double entrance step and about 18 cm more total height with which the wind and the wobbling become very very evident to solve this in the times we are going it would not be wrong to apply the technology of the Toyota 4x4 that is front-wheel drive and two electric motors that go to the rear wheels and thus does not have as much height of the ground or the height total of the body and of course it would be necessary to put a hybrid engine that it is time for Mercedes to savvy to the times that run
If I am going to invest $100K+ in a conversion van I am going to have a shower, otherwise I get a Can Am side by side with a bucket of hot water. Thanks for a well done production.
You would be surprised by how many people say they want a shower and then never use it. We’re not those people we used ours every day lol
Drinking game: take a shot every-time he says stainless steel or custom! lol just messing, love the tour.
Absolutely stunning
Awesome build! Love it, ehats the brand of the shower curtain kit?
Thank you!

Very nice Set up !!!! WOW !!!! Where did you buy your shower curtain? I'm looking for one like this. Thank you !!!!
www.xplroutfitters.com/accessories.html
Hi Dan, great set up, looks perfect!!! But why you use so long sliders for the toilet? Takes place and can damage your other stuff...
You have to use that length of slide to ensure the toilet can clear the wall and have the lid still open.
I think I would try to find a plastic tub to stand in. Lots of other uses for it: rinsing feet, laundry etc. Can toss the shower water out or use for laundry.
I think there's some collapsible ones
Yes, but a tub would not drain out the bottom like his.
Love that build. Such a thoughtful design
Ordering a Sprinter. Are you located in Texas?
We are currently but we are relocating the shop to Vancouver Washington in March.
Cool I’m in southern Oregon
🎉🎉
Nice build what's your cabinet color
Love the shower! I am looking to do something similar in my build. The link to the shower pan appears different than the one in the video. Is it the same one? If not would you be able to send me the link to the one used?
The one we linked was for a larger build we did that had a full enclosed shower room. This pan we custom make for each van. Unfortunately we don’t have any extras for sale all of the ones we have are for future builds. We’re hoping that in the future we could build enough to sell some.
That is a well designed van. The shower is an excellent use of space. What size van would allow two extra seats? Thank you for the tour.
Hi, I know a lot of people with the shorter 144wheel base sprinter (19ft long) with an extra row of seats with a small kitchenette and bunch beds. Options are endless!
@@RoamOverlandVehicles I was trying to look for option setups with the 2 extra seats facing cab, and flares to sleep east west with a hidden shower and small kitchen on a 144. Wishful thinking ... Love your build 😍
I would like to make such a shower only that it is foldable and collapsible [ in the middle of the floor ] so as not to raise the floor by those few cm .Can you tell me what can be used to make a non-permeable mini shower tray like you did.
One more thing. Is there a mount for privacy curtains around the toilet? Imagine the friendly folks from the nearby van poking their heads in as one is doing their business. Curtains might alert the neighbors that they might come back later. The curtains could have a “ Toilet on board “ sticker.
Yikes, ppl peeping in your van?? Well you could either pull window curtains to or put up the shower curtain Depending on the level of window tinting you might not have to worry. I certainly would not be alerting the world that I’m going to the toilet
Gosh absolutely beautiful. When you mentioned the drawer slides you said the “rv latch’s “ were behind the drawer. Not sure what kind you are talking about. My drawers are push to open and they will not stay closed. You are waaaaay smarter than me. What are the locking mechanism you mentioned pls
We attach them to the backside of the drawer so you can’t see them. But they are a 5-8lb pull so your drawers won’t open!
amzn.to/2Uz4ZhB
Nice setup ? on your link for shower pan it takes you to amazon for a plastic pan ? Any link for shower curtain
Great build may I ask what your make and model the shower curtain/cubicle is ....we need one 😃
We use xplr outfitters. It’s their 30”x30” shower curtain.
@@RoamOverlandVehicles thanks for that 👊
Hello! Question for you... Did you use 2 x 4 boards when building the ceiling? I noticed in another vid of the shower that you used pocket holes to create a framework for your ceiling boards. I was wondering what kinds of boards you used for that? We're concerned that the boards we have won't be thick enough.
For the ceiling parts we cut boards down. If I recall it was 1.5in by 1.5in and those we attached through the side into the ceiling rails to give us something to screw into. The actual stained board that you can see is 1x4 pine Hope that helps
does the shower curtain ever stick to you in the shower? is there a way you could stop it from moving around and touching you?
Great Shower concept and a beautiful build! Can this shower be upfitted to an already converted Van?
It would be tough. I weld stainless steel bolts to the bottom and mount it directly to the floor. You would have to cut out that section of flooring and mount it. I also size the flooring and insulation to match the walls of the pan so it’s hidden. If your flooring is in and different height than the pan that could be an issue.
Thank you. Do you have a step by step to do this. Looking to do this in my build!
@@RoamOverlandVehicles Can you tell what company made your shower curtains?

@@RoamOverlandVehicles I’m getting ready to start our van build and want to use the hidden shower floor, like you did. Can you share your build out so I can modify it for my large box Ambo? First I have to install our hidden toilet. Thanks for helping…if you can.
Where did the shower hose connect??
Who is the maker of the shower curtain and rod? Do you have a link. I really like the way it works.

How do you coat the motherboard for the maxxair fan? Do you have a video?
