I just wanted to thank you for making Haimendorf's video excerpts of Tani communities accessible through UA-cam. Also this conversation on culture, identity and character in a network society is so interesting, the instance that you provided of dying language resonates so deeply with me since I too am not proficient in my own dialect and lot of kids and young adults who are of my age are in a similar situation. My inefficiency in speaking my tribes language has severely hindered my ability to communicate with elders and the ability to tap into the rich oral history that our communities have. In this global world where change is inevitable, the past is ironically more accessible yet far. I once again want to express my sincere gratitude for the video s that you uploaded here on UA-cam along with the ones on your website. I will surely check them time and again. Thank you!🎴💮
