Use a booster seat and leave no room for regret. In this video, a father recounts his family's crash story and terrible loss. He wishes he had known the importance of booster seats. If he did, he would have used one and may have prevented his daughter's devastating injuries.

I’m so sorry for your loss and the injury to your child.
My daughter was in a booster seat that had the plastic part that went over her lap and the belt secured it in. During a car accident her forehead hit so hard on the plastic booster that she received a frontal lobe brain injury that caused calcification of her brain tissue..
She has moderate disabilities due to this. That booster seat was recalled a year later due to a lot of children being injured or dying due to blunt force ..
Really research the car seat and booster seat u purchase the same as u would research the safety of other things. Just don’t assume the seat is safe because stores sale it...
    Our accident happened in 2001.
Please check consumer reports on the seat and see if deaths and injury has been reported with the car seat/booster u want to purchase.

This is a nice and light car seat. I got it for my mom so she would have a car seat to use for my baby. Works perfect and is lightweight.

In our state also they have to be in a booster if they're under 70 lb. These boosters can be picked up at second hand stores for next to nothing yet bought at Walmart for probably less than $40 money well spent.

If Meredith was sitting in the front seat, the two would not have fought and an accident could've been prevented and she would not have been killed. Booster seats and seat belts save lives, but preventing accidents save even more lives.

There is still a problem with kids and crashes, booster seat or no booster seat. That is neck whiplash. I believe the neck and spinal chord need to be highly protected as no one wants anyone getting paralyzed for the rest of their life. Without making a kid wear a foam neck brace every time he rides,
The only solution I see is most crashes are from head on or behind? Then the
Actual seat in the cars back seat should be installed facing rear Or
    Forward for head on collision.

I don't want this to happen to my girl. She's 7 and 4'3" and she will continue to use the booster until she can sit properly without one, which will likely be at least 2 more years.
