My entire strategy is about holding onto product longer than everyone else. Just like how I still have my Evo skies boxes when many people sold out at $300-$400.
I LOVE ❤️ the collecting and seeing 👀 the prices increase. I set a goal... when my son, who 9 graduates high school 🏫 he can either KEEP the collection.. Or sell to start a business or invest in something else.. ie. College or stocks 🤔 whatever he's into... he got me int9 collecting on Christmas 🎄 in the middle of the Covid ERA and man do I kiss sword and shield 🛡 era so bad. 😔
You’re 100% right Pokémon is getting bigger in general and with the original Pokemon kids having kids of their own. I got my kid into the show and him watching the show lead to buying some cards and now my whole apartment is filled with booster boxes and etbs.
I'm moving closer and closer to being a collector only and not worry about the investment value. This gives me a much more enjoyable experience and financial return will come automatically.
Excellent video bro, very good information and opinion on the subject. I think that someone who is a collector will keep their cards even if the price rises a lot, however if it is for the purpose of making money you should be aware to see when the cards have a high value and take advantage of the moment. Keep it up bro, I'll be watching your next videos. PS: the codes looked good as in the last video, I caught several, thank you very much. Greetings.
Honestly I think I’m more of a collector than anything. One day I will sell these items but I want to enjoy them now. When I invest in booster boxes, those will be for investments.
Good video. Honestly, the 'it depends' is so circumstantial. I had every intention of keeping my PSA 10 umbreon from evolving skies forever. BUT....the market is so crazy right now that I cant help but think "that is a lot of money that can go towards these 20 other things I want for my collection for 1 card....". Money is definitely not infinite and I'm more comfortable with 20 smaller items than 1 BIG item. at the same time, i have the ONE CHASE card from an entire era....I can't decide! If all card values drop to 0, I feel like I'd be happier with the 20 than 1, but at this time, they are not 0! soooo......I can't decide! BAH
If you sell it you could easily buy another raw copy and still have plenty left over. There’s likely to be a dip in the next few months or so that would also let you buy back in cheaper if you’re patient.
Right now is a good time to sell S&S alt arts. The rest of this year will probably be a good time good to sell as well. Still good to hold as well. Crown Zenith are the only cards to hold now but I think it will pop off a little bit after Silver Tempest sells out and boxes level off. That gold Giratina will be a $200 card by the end of the year if not sooner. Good time to buy them at $100 cause they will not go back to the $75 they were a month ago. Darkrai, Suicune, Raiku, Hisuian Zoroark, Entai, Glaceon, Leafeon and that secret Pikachu just have dollar signs written all over them. When these cards pop off they are going to explode. Time to buy them now and PSA 10's are currently a cheap investment for Crown but not for too much longer.
Well said couldn’t agree more. The alt art market has to correct at some point is the logical assumption-However, they could very well keep gaining who knows. The demand and hype is definitely there. I see a lot of growth coming for giratina, gengar, Lugia, charizard and some of the bigger V’s

Rudy from Alpha Investments thinks every SWSH booster box (other than the really bad ones) will eventually hit $500 a box. That's not a bad bench mark. My goal now is to buy booster boxes and cases of SV sets and when they 2x or 3x offload them to buy whatever current sets are out. Sort of like a self reinvesting venture. I'm pretty much done with my seed money.
^ this right here!! I’m not done with my initial investments but I’m focusing hard on SV with the intention of not making really any money for 2-3 years and then just rolling the profits back into the new sets!!
@@TheSnackAttackingSnorlax Yeah it's hard to ignore buying TF, PR and and other SV sets for under $100 a box. I think it's insane people paying $700 for Evolving Skies or $250 even for Fusion Strike. Will ES go up more? Possibly, but to double it needs to go to $1400! Where as for TF to double it needs to go to $200. Much easier to move a $200 box than $1400
@@MichaelIp facts bruh! I’m a big Nostalgia Nomics guy! Alex just spits truth! Buy them sub $100 tax and shipped, preferably 90 but since new msrp is $160 for Pokémon center sub $100 isn’t bad. But buy them sub $100, not 2 years after released and fomo off Pokémon center for $175 after tax and it’s basically fool proof!! I mean if the world implodes you might see some crash to $80-90 but the risk is lowwwww and it’s almost gaurenteed to double to $200+ once it sells out in Pokémon center!! i sell when i see a decent profit compare to what i have spent but i also only sell when i need some cash in hand to purchase something like example i got my mario lemieux funko pop up on market for 130$ last sale i seen was 140$ plus like 30$ for shipping i only paid 35$ for the pop so i making good profit and i can use the cash been on market for 3 weeks now and sadly no buyers so far but i also looking for pure local for buyer to pick it up. last year i sold a scar face cigar gift set it came with ashtray lighter and a cigar cutter i paid 10$ for it early 2000's i sold it to a guy for 200$ great profit and it was at a time where i could use some cash. as for investing for future i would say mix it up between collectibles and sports cards and other stuff as well so if say pokemon crashs to be worth nothing atleast all ya eggs was not in 1 basket
I was never in to pokemon but wish i was as a kid, with the value of 1st gen cards...but my kids love it and since they got me buying packs im starting to watch more pokemon videos and find my self wonting to buy pokemon stuff more im just glad im not ritch becouse i wood go ott on it lol
I actually sold all my Umbreon V and Umbreon Vmax TG from Brilliant stars bc I know the prices of these cards will crash back to reality. Also sold my Giratina V Alt + Lugia V Alt Art to buy a stable investment of FS Booster boxes. These prices are FOMO of swsh era cards and will crash down at least 50%
If you need the money, sell it. If you don’t need the money and you like it, keep the stuff.

dont let it go trust in 2 years time swsh will be so expensive compared to now were sitting on a future gold mine
