I didn’t think it was possible to make the Dark Justiciar epilogue more depressing, but thank you Larian for adding this additional subtext… Such a cruel and depressing conversation. The heart break continues.
@@ladyselin35Makes no sense why you'd want to effectively sacrifice Shadowheart *and* all of Last Light by choosing to sacrifice Nightsong to Shar. Plenty of other good gear that doesn't require so many people to be sacrificed.
Yeaaa... and I'd be fine with it just for the "fleeting love that sparked but wasn't meant to last" vibe , it captures that well. But like... knowing that she's going to basically continue being another Sharr acolyte, one of the dumbest religions in BG3 IMO, is just a damn shame - such a whatever's left of her life until Sharr decides to discard her.
@@ManlyTear Yeah, I like how well it captures the bittersweet feeling of a fleeting love that wasn't meant to be, and the pain of Tav and Shadowheart, who still desperately want to be together deep down, but never can. It's just sad that Shadowheart continues to be a zealot for the religion that kidnapped her and took pretty much everything from her.
I would really like this question answered as well. I had saw earlier in the game's release that the karlach scene blocked out the shadowheart romance but I never saw anything about this being fixed.
Nope, the choice was either freeing her from Shar's curse but her parents die OR freeing her parents but those random fits of intense pains she gets will keep happening until the end of her days.
Hmm, what if you let her become Dark Justicar but then save her parents? Before epilogue patch I considered that 'route' the most compelling one, now.. well, I didn't muster the strength for another 'shart' playthrough yet. I just wonder what's up with her if you let her save her parents after becoming Shar's champion.
From my experience, I've done it once some time ago, once the parents are saved, it plays pretty much like Selûnite Shadowheart with parents saved, the epilogue was identical, only her hair was black. And you don't get the romance scenes (swimming lesson/nightfall ritual) of either Selûne/DJ path with that route.

Dark Shadowheart left you with 1hp after sleeping with you... kinky.
The Sharran Shadowheart ending still depresses me so fucking much.

Good thing you’re not a Karlach fan because jeez… it gets a lot worse than this

Just when you think it couldn’t get sadder, patch comes in
Oh God, the micro-expression of Dark Justiciar Shadowheart makes this ending even more depressing...
Larian is spoiling us
Do you still get this Cutscene if Karlach is back in Avernus with Wyll?

I haven’t tested it for patch 6, but in my patch 5 playthrough, I sent Wyll and Karlach to Avernus and got this scene, so I’d assume the answer is yes
@@rjai5003 Now into act 3 again, so not long now until I see if you are right/ if it's in patch 6
@mrcookejr I told will to stand down and I personally went with karlach. Shadowheart scene didn't happen. 😢 obvious. She waiting faithfully though.
Sigh... So I have to download it again? Here we go ...
I didn't know I could save Shadowheart AND her parents. I thought the choice was one dies to let the other live 😢
