The Pokémon sapphire and firered both have the indented numbers, it’s just very hard to see because the labels have a lot of wear. There both on the bottom right corner

Same just happened to me with fire red it’s very hard to see on them have to put it at the right angle with a flash light mine was by the Nintendo seal label

Not all Pokémon games have indented numbers. I did the research on a couple of forums a couple of years back and it turns out that a lot of them don’t have it due to reprints and other circumstances. The only sure way of legit checking it is by opening up the cartridge and making sure the board checks out compared to the various other boards that exist out there.
