    When you say the 2016 GSXR 600 actual cases have to be split what do you mean? I’m in the process of doing this on my 2019 GSXR 750 and I’d like to know if I have to remove the camshafts, head, crankshaft journals and crankshaft etc just to remove the lower crankcase half in order to remove the transmission? Does the entire motor need to be disassembled just for the transmission?

      No you don't need to remove all that. You can split the cases with out touching the top end. I will have a video in the next few weeks of me doing that exact thing on a 2006 gsxr 750. I replaced the whole transmission because of a bent out put shaft.

    Hey I have a 07 gsxr1000 lower crankcase is shot can I get away with swapping it out with a used one

      Yeah I'm sure you can get away with a lower case swap. Its not the best option because the crankcase are milled as a set but I think you will be fine.

    How much does it cost or how many hours does it take to complete a job like this

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  8 місяців тому

      Well that just depends on what is found when you do the tear down. I think this was about $1,400 with parts & labor. But that can go way up are down depending on parts needed & the shop working on it.

      @@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 wow that's cheap. I quoted a guy 3000 to replace the counter shaft on his 06 1000. Need to weld one of the water pump plugs back on the case and replace the water pump and clutch rod and sprocket cover

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  8 місяців тому

      I think that sounds like a fair price with all the welding ect
      .. .. this job might if been a little more. But I think it was probably a little hire than that. That's just the price that I might of quoted bit ended up being a little more.

    Does the 2016 gsxr 600 motor split the same way?

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  Рік тому

      I'm sorry no it's not the same. The actual cases have to be split. I was thinking of the 2006 750 video I'm doing right now on a transmission replacement.

    How much a job like this should cost? Labor include parts

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  Місяць тому

      Well part cost will depend on what is actually needed. But also include($100.00) oil, oil filter, coolant. ($1,500) 12 hrs of labor. But I would say around $2,000

    • @chuka10

      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394 daym lol. But why coolant?

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  Місяць тому

      Well you have to drain the radiator. So you have to drain the coolant the oil you change the oil filter you refill the new oil and you need to refill the radiator when you put the bike back together in the cooling system.

      @@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 i see, but i can re use the same coolant right? I just put 6 months ago. Oil and filter i understand, but coolant cant get dirty with the particals right?

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  Місяць тому +1

      @chuka10 you can reuse it if you want to as long as you use a clean container to drain it into. Only particles that will get in there would be dirt from you draining the coolant. I just use new coolant because I am a service and repair shop also.

      Sorry for the really late reply. UA-cam never notified me you left a comment. Yes you can but you will need to make sure the rods are good & replace all the main & rod bearing with the proper ones that it calls for.
