Brother, you don't understand how amazing your content is. It's truly a marvel in this day and age to see something so refreshing and honest and genuine. Please never change, I'm a subscriber for life!
I love how you acknowledge that most people work and try very hard, and that not every failure is the result of fraud or mismanagement. It is in the human nature to admire the successfuls and throw the stone to the losers. I have much respect for you for mentioning that.
Very good and informative video. Many could make the list and talk about it - but you also made the analysis and draw out the "lessons learned". Perfect! I´ll go build something now!
Hi sir. I am from India. We are building a AR based short video platform. But I don't know how to on board content creators to my platform. What are the things or strategies should I follow .. And what are the metrics should a short video platform have before raising seed or pre seed fund.. ( sorry if question is too long)
So if a founder was open to establish his company anywhere in the world, would you recommend California? How about Austin? I heard the startup scene is staggering over there. Here's an idea for another video, startup scenes or where to establish your startup.
Somehow the founders always make it out okay after a startup with venture invested fails. It's the 90% of bootstrapped startups that have folks end up with debt
These are jaw-dropping amounts of money. Why did so many supposedly "smart" investors put money into these companies? You published a video of a 5-point approach to evaluating start-up ideas. Apply that to these and you wonder - why? And yet, I'm sure you had to work damn hard to raise for Vivino, while lesser ideas were attracting money. What do you think?
Aside from being out of touch, quibis biggest failure was in marketing. For a long time i thought quick bites was a new snack and so did many people. How do you grow a brand when no one knows what you're selling
FTX were just straight scam sirr, something similar like binance not sure that cryptoexchange bit shady too i have some bad feelings in binance but what your opinion sir?
Hi my name is Mario, i would like to know how can i contact you, an email maybe, i saw your story in amazon prime, is very nice inspiration, greetings from Peru
Good day sir, I have been watching almost all your videos on startup.. I just finish my mobile app busy in review on Google play store and App Store… I use No Code platform to build it… Is an audio streaming platform that includes our African language and I wanted to know how do I get investor… the platform is fully integrated with google ads as away to fund itself and as well get direct advertising. I am from Namibia 🇳🇦 and we are busy launching in Ghana 🇬🇭… and grow to other African countries… I wanted to know what will your advice be for my startup… I’m really sacred as there are many startup that fail… We did our test prototype and 70% of the users out of 280 users were positive, our UVP from those similar Audio platform is that we are including African language and users are getting royalties from each listener… I’m new in this business, I will really really appreciate if you can show me way forward and as well introducing me to investors…. I appreciate what your doing… I have been watching all your videos and they really help me to understand things. Looking forward hearing from you.😊 You can as well have a look at our app by visiting www.voicetelly.com
Thanks, great to see that you've built something. I've done a few videos on this, I would take a look at my Ultimate Pitch Deck video and How to find an Angel Investor. Also, you most likely need to find someone locally. When it is this early, the investors are usually local.
Will appreciate and at this moment I’m the only investor…. Mostly people in my country are slow to invest in such project… and I can say I watch everything you have posted on how to make business model, pitch video… you inspired me to move on… and the difficult thing I learn on this journey as started-up from a developing country is to get enough support… as mostly people look at us as if we don’t know what we are doing, how can we pass this stage…?

Hi sir. I am from India. We are building a AR based short video platform. But I don't know how to on board content creators to my platform. What are the things or strategies should I follow .. And what are the metrics should a short video platform have before raising seed or pre seed fund.. ( sorry if question is too long)
Thanks for the question, but I'm afraid this will take a deeper look for me to give a meaningful answer. Good Luck with it!
How about online business startup flops. Are those common?
Many, but not this BIG!
Jawbone is not in the Chapters
Also, Solyndra (#2) is misspelled in the Chapters
How did Sequoia get fooled so easily??
Great question I think they might ask themselves that question too...
So if a founder was open to establish his company anywhere in the world, would you recommend California? How about Austin? I heard the startup scene is staggering over there. Here's an idea for another video, startup scenes or where to establish your startup.
Yes this is a good idea, talk about startup scenes or ecosystems. I did actually do two videos about the San Francisco Bay Area.
@RawStartup I'll look for them. Thanks. Would be great to include Berlin, London and the upcoming European scene, Malaga, also a very strong one.
If they are not fraud then it us all about cost control. It’s just impossible to spend that big money so quickly without anything
Here is the dirty secret of spending money.... it is incredibly easy!!
Somehow the founders always make it out okay after a startup with venture invested fails. It's the 90% of bootstrapped startups that have folks end up with debt
I just finished watching the whole video and this is some great content wow. new sub
Thanks, glad you liked it. Maybe, but a good bootstrapped busines also has good chances of success as you don't take the same crazy chances.
Walk with the wise to learn their habits, walk with fools to learn their habits. We become what we repeatedly do. Great content.
Thanks, yes make sure you walk with the right people.
CONVOCHAT made its first year. Beat the 80% failure rate odds. Onward to year 2.
Coding and Listening this got me laughing 13:10 !! Fraud just don't Do it, We hope they listen😂😂
How about we work? Is it not on the list because technically it hasn’t field yet?
Yes exactly they are still alive and even listed worth over $1 billion although that is still less than what was invested in them.
I believe I will make it
Good luck! I have faith in you!
Ran by a bunch of kids🤣🤣🤣🤣
What about bill hwang lost 22 in 2 days
Yes that is a crazy story with huge numbers, but I don't consider him a Startup that is why he is not on the list.
These are jaw-dropping amounts of money. Why did so many supposedly "smart" investors put money into these companies? You published a video of a 5-point approach to evaluating start-up ideas. I think they often really fall in love with the founder and once they're in....it is hard to get out again.
Now stop watching and go build something .... LOL... Like it!
Yes!
If it is a scam from the beginning it is no failure it is just pure fraud! FTX
Maybe I guess we will know soon
@@RawStartup we already know
😲 there is my exemployer here
Oh hope it wasn't too bad.
Great.
Sam is already out of jail.
I think he is with his parents in Palo Alto, hasn't gotten to jail yet.
Aside from being out of touch, quibis biggest failure was in marketing. For a long time i thought quick bites was a new snack and so did many people.
How do you grow a brand when no one knows what you're selling
Thanks yes good point!
Wework came to the list😂😂
Theranos should always be number 1
This is hilarious!
Thanks ❤️
FTX were just straight scam sirr, something similar like binance not sure that cryptoexchange bit shady too i have some bad feelings in binance but what your opinion sir?
Í guess we'll see when the courts have spoken
With a very deep voice haha funny
Yes! (said in a deep voice 😎)
Not failures, Frauds.
Yes some of them are, but most are hard working people that tried their best and failed.
