Yayess! I just bought this set too, and I LOVE the overall tactile reading experience of being with these beautiful books. I like that the book easily falls open and stays open on your lap, and I like the generous inner border of white area/no text so I don't have to crack a spine to read the words closest to the seam. I've adapted to the slightly smaller font size, just need good lighting. And I kinda like the soft feel of the faux leather. Overall it's exactly what I was hoping for in an improved reading experience. I think I might buy the LOTR set too, equally as lovely. Barnes & Noble has them on sale for $53 online only and I used a 20% coupon, came out to about $43 I think. I hope you'll enjoy them too! It's been fun to re-read the whole series because I'm catching so many details that I missed the first time.
Ooooh they have LOTR in this edition too? Have not seen one so far! That is a pretty good price with the coupon! Where do you guys get all these coupons! LOL I wish we have similar things here but alas no such luck. You are right about missing on the details and how the books can fill those in. I am just reading Good Omens right now and I do find that to be true. Although I have to say, Prime Videos and BBC have done a good job (at least with the first series) in translating the words into visuals! Enjoy your GOT and LOTR!! :D
I have read the song of ice and fire in a different book set but I love the look of these books I honestly wish I would have seen these before I purchased the current set I own , I have the lord of the rings series in this format and I absolutely love them.

Just started reading these books after the HBO series ended(?), but i got the kindle version. I do prefer paper books but with age the font is often difficult to read, whereas kindle/pdf fonts can be made huge and easier on the eyes ... a lot of words in these books.🤔 You have a nice collection of books there. @@NobodyHere With new lens in both eyes, over a year now, it is easier to read paper books ... but not for as long as a kindle/pdf without feeling it (i.e. blurry/fuzzy). Plus, with a tablet, i can turn my treadmill (rainy/snowy days) into a kindlemill to read and jog at the same time ... 2 birds + 1 treadmill, so to speak (possibly a horrible saying🙈). I'm looking forward to more of your book videos, as you've always shown some cool books. Enjoy!☮️
Slip the Trap I turned to audiobooks and audibles as well as podcasts (true crime!!) for the same reason 😬 Except that in my case it isn’t treadmill (I really do need to exercise more) 😬 I am turning 50 this year and will be reviewing most of everything I have collected for the past few decades with the core of view of slowly letting them go .... Until my next video!

I loved Game of Thrones in the earlier seasons and felt compelled to read the source material. I purchased these because of their size and look, I think they look really good with their simplistic design and colour scheme. But are these books stitched? I've noticed the binder seems very different to a paperback book I own.

It is an edition that is good value for money! At Amazon's current price drop of US $51, that is $10 a book!! No wonder brick and mortar smaller bookshops are dying around me!! :( But these are nice for the price indeed.
