There are signs of natural aging in her appearance which would not be evident if she had lots of surgery. She may have had some work done but her face does not have that pulled back and stretched look common to frequent surgery.

I saw her in person at a book signing about 25 years ago. From her side profile she looked much older, she is just very clever in using make up, glam and hair to look incredible. I really don't think she has had much if any cosmetic surgery.

My dear Aunt Agnes swore she never dyed her hair. Her hair was auburn red with zero gray hair, and she was gray free even in her 80s. Fact is we all knew she was twisting the truth, she used henna and did not consider that a hair dye in her mind. So when folks make claims like I never had a face lift but doesn't appear logical, just take it with a grain of salt. There are many procedures like a neck lift, forehead lift, brow lifts, upper and lower eye lifts, upper lip lifts, chin lifts and many types of extensive lasers, fillers, Botox, fat freezing, liposuction and many other procedures only the rich and well-informed know about. Most women just don't want to discuss what they do and will lie about procedures they have had done. I love Joan and read her books and follow her, but I don't believe for a minute that she has never had facial surgeons fiddle with her face and neck.

Basically a very nice woman. Very amazing as well. She seems like the type of person who would be nice to someone if they recognized her on the street.
She's 90 years (young) and is offered film rolls. Looks marvelous and very cognitive. People very often think of her as being part of the roles she plays in films and TV.
One outstanding role she played was in TV show "Star Trek." Everyone loved her when she played Edith Keeler in "The City on the Edge of Forever."
I think if she actually reads this comment about what I wrote, she'd think something up like, "Oh isn't that man so nice. What a darling."

I like my VIT D I go in the sun w/O cancer causing chemicals , I think everything in moderation, for 56 i barley have a wrinkle , my mom was about her age when she passed the only thing that did her in was stress , but my mom looked better than joan , my mom always had younger men after her . I married for love and it has been a hard life , I had super wealthy men after me most of my life but I picked the poorest pain in the ass I could find .. never again ! rather be alone or be with a man with old money that is savvy , obviously I’m not a gold digger , I just don’t need so many head aches as I get older. Marrying for love is the worst thing any woman can do, as emotions change, and no two people feel the same exact way. Those two things ruined my life (I'm 65) yet look better than most 40 year olds.

There's a frequent UA-cam Ad from a lady doctor dermatologist who says there is a difference between moisturizing and hydration. Hydration waters the skin from within, whereas make-up makes the skin feel temporarily soft outside but really leaves the skin worse off as it begins to destroy/turn off the inner hydrating vehicles under the skin. So, the more one moisturizes, the drier and more aged the skin will become.

I was the manager of a prestigious stationery/office supply store in Beverly Hills, Ca. From 1999 to 2002. Joan Collins and Pierce Gibson came in for wedding announcements. A top quality “Crane” stationery was about $1K. They refused! For goodness sake’s, with all the money they have a thousand dollars is like a penny to them. Anyway, she was in her early 70's back in 1999, while he was in his mid to late 30’s. She was very demanding, and you did what she said, period. Fay Dunaway was more or less the same. I saw a lot of celebrities in that Beverly Hills stationery store, and some of them were not friendly and had their noses up in the air.😅
