- This is a how to video on replacing a vehicles side view mirrors. The vehicle is a 2016 F150 that is being upgraded with a factory style tow mirror. The repair process can be very similar to other makes and models and this procedure could be used as a reference.

I have a 2020 F150 XLT, I don't have heated mirrors. I was hoping to switch to heated mirrors, would the process be the same?

I have a 2020 F150, installed the F250 Tow Mirrors. The Outside Temp sensor in the factory mirror is on the drivers side, the temp sensor in the Tow mirrors in the passenger side. After the install my Check Engine Light is ON because it is not sensing the Temp sensor now. Is there a Fix for this?
There may be a way to retrofit your temp sensor from you factory mirror to the new one to eliminate the light. I wouldn't be rewiring the vehicle to move the sensor to the drivers side by any means.
What brand mirrors are these? I have regular powered mirrors without turn or heat. Will the turn signals and heat work if I used these?
The link to the mirrors is in the description. They are from Amazon and are surprisingly nice. The heated function does work if you have those options already. The turn is prewired from the factor as well so there is no worries about that.

Yes they do!
Any vibration when driving?
I haven't noticed any vibrations with them, there is a little bit more of wind noise due to the size of the mirror but that was expected
I wish mine came with real mirrors, but I'm having a hard time with China mirrors.
The dealer wants $1100 and thats not going to happen.
I can relate to the high price of the factory mirrors, but for the money I am happy with the look and quality of these so far and I haven't had an issue yet.
Take a look at Boost Auto Parts aftermarket mirrors. I installed a pair of their tow mirrors on my F150 and they are as close to OEM as you can get.

What if you don't tow often, should you just keep the regular mirrors?
I can say every truck I have ever owned I installed tow mirrors if they didn't have them. I personally like the added size and look of them better than the stock mirrors. I tow quite a bit but the added size of the mirror and the wide angle convex mirror on the bottom is a must in my book so you can see your blind spots so much easier. In the end it's totally up to your preference. These mirrors have been great for me with zero issues.
@@tsgarage523 Thank you for responding. My driver side mirror was broken by a young lady and they are paying for the repair. That being said Ford doesn't have the mirror in stock until mid July or later. I'm torn on what to do 😫
