Battery with adequate CCA's wired to starter (as batteries normal should be) THEN a set of jump leads to that battery. Jump leads onto starter wires without a battery will never sustain the CCA's required to continuously crank and start a starter of that size.
Funny I thought the very same but thought with him being a contractor that maybe he knew better. An didn't think a lot of the jump leads when I saw them either,anyway God loves a tryer.
