You never get tired of troubleshooting and fixing. You seemingly never tire of challenge. Whether a viewer is a farmer or not, that personal quality is a good example; life always presents opportunities for creativity. Thank you.
It could be all the times he gets frustrated or angry are edited out but you certainly get the impression Adrian is a very patient man. He has a wonderful, warm, fatherly way of explaining what he’s doing and I think that’s much of the charm of the videos for me, despite being in my late 50s. The joy of editing also makes it look like he can fix anything in 10 minutes or less but my husband would envy him his well equipped and well organised workshop, even if it is dark.
@@suew9248 I get all the frustrated moments everyone gets, editing definitely leaves it a bit calmer 😀. But after some good advise I have learnt to have more patience as i’ve gotten older for sure, often putting down tools when something tests me and having a tea break or waiting to the next day before resuming, best advice i every got. I still throw the odd hissy fit now and again 😬😉
I find it the very same Adrian in my own workshop it could be a bolt or part that just fights and fights to try and open or a daunting task…just leave it and come back the next day after a bit of thinking I find it cures the dilemma and you can carry on then, much like a philosophy for life 😄👍🏼
I love fault finding and fixing . When I was married I was always surprised how unpractical my husband was and it was hard to try not to quickly step in . I wish I had stopped him trying to put a shelf up for me and I did shout no when he didn’t take the raw plug out when he wanted to drill the hole bigger . He blew all the plaster and blamed the age of the damned house and walked away . I waited until he was away working ,the downfall of our marriage, and I did a skim and fill then put the shelf up myself and didn’t say anything. My parents were very practical and mum said there are no separate male or female set of instructions . Everything comes with instructions so there’s no reason not to or ask at least you’ve tried . I love watching your videos for just days like this and your banter . Happy Hogmanay Adrian to you and your family . I know how hard this festive season is for you and if I could give you a hug I would . ❤
What a great positive attitude despite what you and your family are going through with the recent loss of your dad. The reason your channel is doing so well is the fact you can tackle so many different jobs and you show it all ( even the mistakes ). You really seem to enjoy making your videos too which adds to this. I watched others recently almost giving out that people weren’t watching as much and adding they “need the money” to pay bills or build something! Same channels are poisoned with advertising/sponsorships. Thanks for keeping things real and not falling down that worm hole as you and your family are a joy to watch.
Wow! You’re a great electrician, as well! You have so many handy skills- welding, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, stone and concrete work, you name it, you do it! I can tell the way you talk you know your stuff. I have several volt meters but their use eludes me!
It’s a pleasure to watch your channel. It reminds me of my younger days on the family farm in Southern Australia . Lots of Irish influences on dairy farms and beef farms as well . Keep up the good work
Hi Adrian, about the workshop. If you put felt under the sheeting don’t use the new type breathable felt. Use the old type slaters felt. Stretch out chicken wire on the timber purlins first then your felt and sheeting then. Keep up the great work with the videos.
Good morning Adrian. Another great insight into farming life. You’re a man of many skills, I’m sure your dear old Dad is looking down on you with pride. Your beautiful daughter is looking so grown up now, great to see her helping her Dad out. Stay safe. ❤️
Great video again thanks. I have a garage same size as you and after 20 years I put 1 clear sheet in the roof and it transformed the place. Highly recommend that.
As previously stated your video is much anticipated on a Sunday morning, great that we have an extra one to look forward to, it's wonderful to see your daughter helping on the farm. Best wishes
Morning Adrian Hope you and the family had a good Christmas, under the circumstances Not sure what impresses me most, your engineering knowledge or your confidence to get on into a task to investigate if you can work out and then resolve the issue Really do enjoy your updates, whether you are farming, improving, maintaining or repairing, you make it enjoyable to watch, interesting and educational without us knowing it lol Definitely a spaghetti of wires in there, I'd definitely be conFUSED beyond a simple fuse replaced Wishing you and the whole family, a very happy new year and looking forward to your continued journey throughout 2025 Take care all Geoff
Good job on finding the issue with the lights on the tractor! I had an issue where my trailer left side winker light wasn't coming on about a month ago. Took me ages to find that the connector in the light cluster had come loose. How it had come loose, I do not know, but loose it was. It was an easy fix but being a complete electrical ignoramus, it reminded me how much I dislike electrical problems. On a different note, I really like how you use the local place names when you speak. I'm none the wiser from hearing those place names, but it does make the 'conversation' between you and we the viewers feel a lot more natural. For privacy, security and common sense reasons, there is obviously a limit to how local you can go in identifying places, but you somehow manage to successfully strike the balance. I wish you and your family a happy new year.
Adrian another enjoyable video! Sinead is a smart woman for having you go to urgent care!! And smarter for you listening to Sinead! Wishing your entire family a lovely New Year!🎉❤
Happy new year to you and family, love your work ethic; "☘and I look forward to your videos always a mix of topics makes them interesting.☘☘☘☘☘☘☘Erin go Bragh.
I’m sitting here outside Seattle sipping a cupcake Barry,s tea while watching your video Your wife was correct in sending you for proper medical attention Happy New Year to you all
Hi Have a garden business and have the same problem with lawn mowers. Have found even when you turn the petrol off there is a little bit left in the pipe between the tap and carb which will drain through the carb .To overcome this we switch the fuel off before we finish and let it run till it stops. Have found for us it has sorted the problem.
A family of many talents to get the job done. The positivity that comes across is always inspiring. Thanks for sharing the highs and lows with us. Best wishes to you and your family for the New Year
Your method of testing brake lights is much more technical than mine, I turn ignition on then wedge a bit of wood between the brake pedals and steering wheel and walk round the back of tractor to check. Are all of the bulbs on dash panel working? If not, with all of those panels removed , would have been a good time to replace those that are not working. The 1.2V push in bulbs are very sensitive and should not be held with bare hands.
I’m a great believer in insulation in a workshop. Especially if you have expensive tools. My old workshop was insulated, my new one does not (for now) and it gets below zero in the winter. Tools have surface rust plus other problems….. . Insulated roof plus the walls if you can and add a 5C heater to keep it above freezing in the winter.
Thank you. I'm 56, when I was 16, a lad in my class at school, ran into the back of a tractor with no lights, at night, on his 50cc motorbike, he died. Thank you for fixing your lights.
Your wife as always was right, going to the hospital was the right thing to do. I cut my leg doing my son's garden in September, I cleaned it and thought that would be ok, silly me. It's nearly January and it's very nearly healed but that's after several visits to the Drs to get the wound re dressed. 🤕😎👍
Non drip sheets work. Just make sure to burn the coating back a few inches from where the eaves are. Water will travel in via the felt it's not removed .
Board the workshop with plywood, the condensation is being caused by the shed inside being warmer than the tin and outside temperature and condensation forming, I had the problem for years in workshops on farms. Putting a 19mm ply wooden flat roof on and felting it will make the problem go away, you would get a good 10 to 15 years out of a good felt roof, then when its about done you can paint it with epoxy to make it last even longer. Depends on the wind where you are, felt roofs love disappearing in storms, tin roofs are a tad more secure.
Thought you would of spotted that blown fuse when you checked the other one, glad you managed to sort it. Been a farmer you should always have your Tetanus vaccine up to date, or any industry for that matter, hope 2025 is a better year for all of us xx
No it only blew afterwards when I put all back together the first time, i think the shaking of me working on it just moved that relay and it grounded out. That relay was obviously added at some point. Yes totally agree on the Tetanus jabs, and they’re only good for 10 years i was told so definitely something i won’t miss again especially when your at this sort of work like you said 👍
Adrian, don't spray foam it. You will regret it. Rafters, OSB, membrane & use the old galvanised sheets or felt it. If you can afford new sheets, by all means. & use PIR boards of roll out insulation. If you have problems with condensation, create an airflow ventilation - in & out airflow
@IFarmWeFarm People here are recommending spray foam. If you get a leak down the road, you'll never find it. You'll have to tear the whole spray foam out. When this first hit the market about 20+ years ago, experts warned it was a bad idea down the road. People didn't listen & low and behold, they were right: houses destroyed, roofs replaced etc. Insurance companies won't insure a house if the attic rafters are spray foamed. A good snagger will advise their client to walk away if its in a house. I know it's only a shed, Adrian, but I still wouldn't take the gamble.
If you do use the non-drip sheets like I have, and put a clear skylight in like I have, make sure your skylight isn't above your workbench because it still drips from there! Learnt that the hard way.
a very happy and healthy new year to you and yours Adrian. Love your channel and its approach to real life farming. A man for all seasons seems to sum you up. God Bless.
Was in a massy that went on fire just where u said. I told the farmer and he was happy to see her burn there was 3 inches of clay on the floor we smothered the fire with the clay lol.
Ah, electrical problems will test anyone's patience and can take so much time - it was interesting to see how you did your troubleshooting and to see everything behind those access panels. I think I would have been stomping around and using inappropriate words in about 2 minutes! 😊 It's looking like a very cold and dreary time in your area and I hope you and your family keep your spirits bolstered with all the stress and grief of the last few months. Kind of ominous to hear you had more to deal with right at Christmas, and then with getting injured. Very glad you had your leg looked after and got your booster. If you wait for later for another video, I wish you and your family a peaceful New Year's Eve, and that 2025 will hold happiness and peace for all of you in at least equal measure to anything else as the year progresses. All the best to you and the family from here in Summerville, South Carolina. ❤🚜❤🐄❤
Adrian I see people erecting new sheds and they are putting clear sheeting over the full roof. Looks like it lets in great light all over the shed. Worth looking at. Happy new year.
Great video Adrian. Good results on the brake light troubleshooting, easy fix. Enjoyed watching all your videos throughout the year , always upbeat and positive outlook even the times that you experience setbacks on your farm and the sad occasions , none other than most recent with your Dad passing RIP Happy New Year to you and all your family, looking forward to your videos next year. 👍🏼👍🏼

I had to shift all my tools etc so they were put in the inspection pit. On the day that the spraying was done it was so hot that I was down to my underpants under my overalls sweeping off the cobwebs. 2 hours later the job was complete. Going back into the garage afterwards was almost like walking into a fridge. The garage used to be like an oven in the summer and used to run with condensation in the winter. No more rusting tools and much better to work in both summer and winter. there was a roof light and I "double glazed" that with a polycarbonate sheet
enjoy the videos Adrian your best bet for your roof is put felt on and counter batten lets air in to keep the timber dry i have a sheddone with the non drip and on frosty nigts it drops mad it acts like a sponge felted shed I have never drips just runs down into gutters
Spray on insulation is 💯%. I have it on my own workshop for twenty years now. I would put a skylight in that roof when your doing it, you can then put flat perspex up against it when doing spray foam, serves as a break to eliminate the condensation. Hard to beat natural light.
i remember us coming home from baling hay at 11 pm with the 2wd massey 595 multi power with the welger , the boss was driving i was hanging on the side with no door and my mate on the draw bar , think we had one light working .. this was in the 80s . the 595 is still going today .
@10:08 - Had to chuckle a little,, I've never been to Ireland and hopefully I'm pretty safe to assume you've never have been to the US, but I see we share the same custom to give the dog a little squirt of air with the air hose while working in the shop...
Happy New Year Adrian Its Gas every Sunday Morning i wake up and say ill check and see if your video is uploaded .All ways look forward to your content
I tried the auto synch option in German, it works actually very nice, great for those who do not understand English to well. But it is no option for me, Adrian with a different voice is a nogo!
Another interesting video Adrian, electric problems are a nightmare good all sorted, animals looking very smart, thumbnail saying hospital you saying chainsaw me putting two and two together coming up with five ! Thank god ! Anyway Happy and Healthy new year to you and your family 👍🍻
Hi Adrian, Hope you & your family are doing well. during this difficult time - especially your mum. Your wife, Sinead is clearly a very sensible & intelligent wife. Lucky you! A tetanus injection & peace of mind is well worth forty odd minutes in the Minor Injuries Unit at Monaghan Hospital! Another video over the New Year would be lovely - but please don't push yourself at what is the start of one of your busiest times on the farm. Take care & God Bless. x
Fair play to ye adrian, get stuck in and get it sorted 🙂👍

Back in the 90's I went to the north for the first time. When I saw a tractor slow down to turn right and the brake lights came on and then the indicator I had to concede I was in a different country. A lot has changed since then.
When trouble shooting the brake light issue if you had a fault in the wires under the mudguard you’re 4wheel drive would still be coming on when applying the brakes I bet yours wasn’t with the faulty relay

Love the videos. Your absolutely right to emphasise the need for lights on a large, slow vehicle!! Too many accidents on our roads!! Happy New year! 👍
Happy New year Adrian and your lovely family. I didn’t celebrate Christmas because of sadness the week before so my heart goes out to you x

Wishing u and your family a happy new year. Your a brilliant farmer and u should be proud of yourself
Thanks for the tips, yes i like that idea and quite simply done too

On the topic of carburetor try running it dry after you turn off the fuel in the meantime happy new year

My double garage had an uninsulated steel roof like yours. I had the roof sprayed and it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was mid August and very hot.
Happy new year
enjoy the videos Adrian your best bet for your roof is put felt on and counter batten lets air in to keep the timber dry i have a sheddone with the non drip and on frosty nigts it drops mad it acts like a sponge felted shed I have never drips just runs down into gutters
Spray on insulation is 💯%. I have it on my own workshop for twenty years now. I would put a skylight in that roof when your doing it, you can then put flat perspex up against it when doing spray foam, serves as a break to eliminate the condensation. Hard to beat natural light.
I would suggest looking into heat guard for your workshop roof, it's clear double skinned sheeting
Sky light will drip as well

Adrian Happy New Year to you and your family. Positive thoughts for 2025. 👍🏻🇨🇦☘️
What you have there is a lazy wind, It doesn't go round you it goes straight though instead.
Good to know your injury to your leg was not worse.
The heifers are looking good.
Happy New Year to the whole Morris family. 😊❤
insulated sheets are the way to go, ive all my sheds done like that.
If you use nondrip make sure to burn over gutter or sheet will rust in 5 to 6 years
Happy new Adrian and family 🎉

Enjoyed watching all year happy new year to you and all

Hi Adrian, Hope you & your family are doing well. during this difficult time - especially your mum. Your wife, Sinead is clearly a very sensible & intelligent wife. Lucky you! A tetanus injection & peace of mind is well worth forty odd minutes in the Minor Injuries Unit at Monaghan Hospital! Another video over the New Year would be lovely - but please don't push yourself at what is the start of one of your busiest times on the farm. Take care & God Bless. x
Hi Adrian could you tell me where you got ur pigtail holders for front of quad please. Thanks
Adrian can you hurry up and fix your garage roof , as I have the same problem, I’d like to see your solution before I do mine 😂
Fair play to ye adrian, get stuck in and get it sorted 🙂👍
Back in the 90's I went to the north for the first time. When I saw a tractor slow down to turn right and the brake lights came on and then the indicator I had to concede I was in a different country. A lot has changed since then.
Happy New Year Adrian to you and your family
Sheets off and modern felt will fix the shed drip

Happy new Year to you and your family
Another great video Adrian , I really look forward to Sundays , thanks .
Hi replacing roof with heatgard could work
When trouble shooting the brake light issue if you had a fault in the wires under the mudguard you’re 4wheel drive would still be coming on when applying the brakes I bet yours wasn’t with the faulty relay
