Clear instructions, thank you. Just one question, does it matter if the blade is put with Stihl letters on it facing the floor, or it has to be facing the sky like in the video?
Thanks for your comment. It depends on which blade you are using, however, if it can only be fitted one way there will be directional markings on the blade itself, so please just check that first. Thanks, STIHL GB
Hi, I have the FSA 135 and the same blade and attachments as in your video. After tightening the locking nut the blade doesn't spin freely like you say, have I over-tightend it? When I loosen it a little then the cup rattles around which can't be right. Thanks and hope you can help.
Hi, the locking pin was in so I could tighten it, then out when I'd finished and it wasn't spinning freely like in your video. I thought the locking nut needed tightening more as the metal cup was rattling when the blade spun like in the video. The manual doesn't say it spins freely but just to tighten the nut secure. Thanks for your reply.
@@MONKIPANTS Hi, thank you for your reply. Yes the cup is supposed to spin, but to be sure there isn't an issue we recommend taking it to your local STIHL Approved Dealer to check or sending some pictures to our customer support team at enquiries@stihl.co.uk. You can find your nearest dealer by putting your postcode into our dealer locator shop.stihl.co.uk/pages/dealer-locator. Many thanks, STIHL GB
Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes, you can fit some of our grass cutting blades to an FSA 90 R. If you go to the product pages on our website, they will have the compatible products listed in the description. For example, on the GrassCut 230-2 or 260-2 blades, you can see the FSA 90 R listed: www.stihl.co.uk/en/ap/grass-cutting-blade-2-blades-13876 You can see all of our cutting tools listed here: www.stihl.co.uk/en/ac/grass-trimmer-brushcutter-clearing-saw-accessories-99374/cutting-tools-99376 Thanks very much, STIHL GB
@@STIHLGB thank you For the reply & information it’s greatly appreciated. Just one last question do the blades come with a fitting kit ? Or does this need to be purchased separately. Thank you
@@waybackwhen88 thanks for your comment. You don't need a fitting kit but you may need to buy a guard to be used with the blade. The part number will depend on which blade you decide to go for, so we would really recommend speaking to a STIHL Approved Dealer when you get the blade as they will be able to advise you exactly what you need. Thanks, STIHL GB
After inserting the stop pin, the (wire) cutting attachment won't turn left nor right. What else do you suggest I do? • STIHL 230mm grass cutting blade. • FS 94 RC
Hi, thanks for your comment. If you can't undo it in the way that is shown in the video we would suggest that you take it back to a STIHL Approved Dealer to look at more closely. We don't recommend forcing anything just in case of accidental damage. Thanks, STIHL GB

When I tighten it all up and the blade spins free, so does the cup, is that supposed to happen? Thanks again.

Ok, thankyou very much for your advice and I will indeed get it checked out before I commit to using it. Have a nice day!
Why didn’t my accessories kit include the locking pin? It seems like I kinda need that…
