    First, your sound levels were quite good! Please be careful with chemical treatment of the grounds, especially because of lotus pond where the runoff would go. It is also probably not good for cats and other animals. It was amazing the transformation after you removed some trees and cleaned out the overgrowth. My wife and I think a yellow-gold color would set off your house well. We always enjoy your vids but feel worn out just watching you guys working so hard :-)

      Etherdog, thank you for the message! We didn't paint the house yellow / gold but ... We have since bought that exact colour to add some finishing touches! Great minds think alike hey!
      I did lock Keko up inside before starting spraying and didn't let him out for a few a days after 🙏

    That pretty purple plant is commonly called "purple dead nettle" and in the rural USA it is sometimes added to fresh spring salads as a garnish.

    It's been a very long wait for the next instalment of your adventures! :D Also, good idea to remove that palm tree. We've got exact same ones here in Sydney and if left untouched, they can and WILL get completely out of hand.
    When you have time, may I suggest that you dig out big root of that palm tree ? It will otherwise start growing again.

    • @KonnichiwaChannel1
      @KonnichiwaChannel1  2 роки тому

      Tim we will definitely do that! In fact we removed 3 or 4 palm trees so we need to dig out all of the roots!

    Thanks for the overhead panoramic view of the area.
    It gave a good perspective of the neigborhood and how close the lake is.
    Clearing brush and trees is hard work.
    You just have to keep up with the weeding every day.
    Weeds are called weeds because you do not want them, and they grow so fast!!

    Nice progress on the yard clean-up. Once your greenery gets going, you really have to stay on top of it to keep it under control. Sometimes, less is really more! Keep up the great work.

    Love your house and posts.Most Japanese houses are painted in neutrals with browns and charcoals.Nice but quite bland.How about mixing some panels of fluro oranges,pinks,limes and mustards.Or doing the main house in traditional neutrals and Ichi's studio outhouse in electric blue.I'm sure Ichy will have some good ideas.

    • @KonnichiwaChannel1
      @KonnichiwaChannel1  2 роки тому

      Omg Brent you've read our mind! We've already bought some bright yellow paint with a plan to jazz up the side of the house! This will go on top of the colour we have already painted it and which will be revealed in the next episode!

    Front garden landscape is beautiful with those tree except the Beach tree is gone bohoooo!!!!! if you just have done some research it would have being a bountiful supply during season, but now you really need a glass trimmer to do the job, happy gardening or clearing the bush, true the best view of the house is the upstage room with those window, I would connected the two house with glass passage & make a pond between the house that can't be view from outside for privacy that is another project.

    • @KonnichiwaChannel1
      @KonnichiwaChannel1  2 роки тому

      Brian that sounds amazing!! I'm not sure it would fit into our budget though 😅 if anyone would like to give us a glass passage we will very happily install it!
