I think the Furukawa Sans have adopted you two! 😉😊 Craftsmen love it when they can pass on their love of their craft. You two are about a good work saving all that beautiful wood.
Another great episode! You guys should update your channel pic to one where you're both holding up your awesome cat, instead of the money. Would be way cuter, cheers!
Okay, so right off the bat about paint- when I move, I know I'll be paying for a shipping container worth of stuff. There are a few large things I need to bring with me (mostly horse stuff) but I'm also considering things that might be hard to find in Japan. Maybe I should bring 20 gallons of paint too 🤣
Hi guys! Thanks for another enjoyable video and for taking us along with you in your journey! I can see that Keko got a fan over there, that lady is so kind, congrats to her! My best wishes always! xx
So glad to see that you took the time and effort to level the floor! You'll be so glad you did it. If I may suggest, you need to boost your audio as even at the highest volume setting it is a bit difficult to hear your speech clearly. Otherwise, great content!
I'm sure the level floor will be worth it too! I've just finished the next episode and I've boosted my volume, please let me know if it's better. I will release it on Sunday.
Hi there. I’m wondering how the bathroom is going? Have I missed it? I’m thoroughly enjoying your journey & your dedication to making it beautiful. Thanks
I may have to convince my husband about the idea of ice cream after showers ^*^ - sounds delicious!! Also - wonderful progress on the house and the Furukawa Sans are adorable - how lovely. I must admit - I would be spending far longer than 30 mins in the Manga Cafe ... but I love reading and they may have to evict me ;)
It's cool to watch your progress, even though you're both wearing parkas and it's Aug right now. I noticed when Ichi pulled the pillar out at 17:04 that there is a big tenon on the top. Does that mean there's now a big empty hole in your roof log? I wonder if Furukawa-san would recommend cutting that tenon off and stuffing it back into the hole to plug it.
Mark, well spotted that is a huge tenon yes and there is a big hole on the beam it came out of. It's going to be covered by the kitchen ceiling so we weren't planning on filling it....
@@KonnichiwaChannel1 have plans changed? I would think having something in the hole would make the beam more stable in the long term but I’m no expert. Hoping to see more of your build soon
If I could find a cafe that streams Babymetal videos and serves yakitori I would spend far more time than 30 minutes in there. Probably the rest of my life, actually 🤣 And regarding Furukawa san - you are definitely 養女 😁 See you in Ep 17.
None of the local stores offer paint mixing services. They stock a very small selection of paints. It's pretty rare to paint interior walls in Japanese houses.

I feel like we've been adopted! 😍
The old lady is so so sweet!
💯
kiyouko is the sweetest person ever! more of her please!!
I agree! We'll have to do a whole episode on her at some point!

We'll try and take a good pic !
The Carpenter's wife is so adorable! I love her!
She is!
I love your videos. It's not just watching you guys do a great job renovating the house but there's so many little details to learn about Japan.
Thanks Mr Gomez!

Omg yes you should bring so much paint! Plus furniture. A nice sideboard here costs a small fortune!

Oh I would love to do that! A tour of her amazing house! I will ask her.... 🤞

Wendy you haven't missed it, this sunday's episode will be on the bathroom. It's slow progress! It's still not finished and it's September! 😱
Awesome new video! Thanks for sharing this is a fantastic journey. Cheers ! 😀👍
Thanks so much, glad your enjoying it!

Jan, how did you go with the ice cream conversation? I agree, the Furukawa's are 💯% lovely!
@@KonnichiwaChannel1 Nothing yet - but I have hopes ^*^

@@markfriesen1435 we are no experts either but we can ask the carpenter next time he comes back ( we have one helping us with some tricky door rails).
The windows look nice.
Thank you!
pink is a great colour
Oh yes! It's going to be a good toilet!
Yes… some very unusual topics in mangas and magazines. lol
Keep up the great work!
😅 thanks Chad

Hahaha no doubt it exists somewhere here!
can you get the local store to mix the same colours much cheaper ?

Hiiiii. Long time no comment.
Hi Mariel! 🤗
Access Hatch to Quick acces to Cat Burrial... oh and pipes!
😂 too true!
The Manga Cafe is dangerous. Unlimited Ice Cream after a hot bath and visiting it often. I'd gain weight!
Hahahaha I have put on a few kg 😱🍨🍨🍨🍨
mil not mili !
