While i was looking for chapter name at 27:57 (time)- As it is Surah Zukhruf verse 26( وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ ٢٦), the speaker did not say the last word تَعْبُدُونَ ٢٦ instead he said MIMMA TUSHRIKOON). My intention is only to make correction and gain knowledge-May Allah SWT accept from us ( AAMEEN )
27:57 is tabidon not tushrikoon surah 43 ayah 26, please correct JazakAllah khairan!!!

I'm sorry, I feel the need to make a stupid point: what on Earth would you be fearing STONES for unless they're rolling down on top of you? I don't really get the idea of making something with your own two hands and then worshipping that thing. It feels, I don't know, cheap? But if Abraham's (peace be upon him) father was a Pagan, how did Abraham learn any different?
PS: Equally stupid, maybe: how do you tell the difference between a punishment and a test?
The example of why they did fear the statues is explained in the story of Noah of this same series, episodes 7,8 and 9 if I am not wrong. The difference between a punishment and a test is that tests bring you closer to Allah, and punishments, even if it meant you to become king of the world, make you forget your lord
