Huge thank you to Insta360 for sponsoring this video, pick the Link 2/2C here ► bit.ly/SenpaiGaming-Link2 and pick up the Link 2 on Amazon here ► bit.ly/SenpaiGaming-Amazon-Link2
those videos already exist, osbo meet 2 has way better auto focus but the image quality isn't as good out of the box looks washed out, bit of video settings tinkering would probably make it on the same par maybe better. Price is the standout for the link 2. Typically people won't do comparisons on a sponsored video to not show flaws compared to competition.
It's awesome to see innovations still being chased in the webcam world. I've also been a bit turned off to the Insta360 Link for similar reasons, but seeing the "safe zones" or whatever they were called is a really cool feature. Might need to look into grabbing one of these (as my wallet screams)
Agreed! After splurging on the Shure SM7B with a mixer that can supply enough power and gain to it, I do not need another microphone! And paying $198-250 for “another microphone” is not in my interest. Also tolling fees are mad in Norway so you can probably add quite a bit onto that initial cost, and then its probably at least $300 🤪
Agree, especially considering the type of customer buying these cameras - it’s pretty likely they’ll have a dedicated microphone or a headset that also has a microphone. Webcam mics always get immediately disabled to avoid Windows deciding I want it to be my default input despite already setting my mic 😂
I feel like webcams in general should simply stop adding microphones to lower costs. Then they don’t need to invest in features for the microphone since most people already have a microphone they prefer.
@@AlexKaboom i think this is the true ranking of this webcams. a perfect video will be at least a comparison with the OBSBot and the MK.2, hope to see it next week eheh
@@AlexKaboom The problem with Razer is their software which I really don't like. Also, both Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra and Elgato Pro are 400$ where I live, so the "price to quality" ratio is out the window. Now the Meet 2, which I know is good, is "just" 180$. Now we're talking a good "price to quality" ratio. Oh and one last thing, there are no Pro MK.2 yet from Elgato. There's the Pro and there's the MK.2. Just went on their website and social medias to double verify. But I'm sure they'll come out with it sooner than later.
Please compare with the Facecam MK2, decided to buy that one due to your original video but it didn't reach my expectations, LEDs in the background are overblown, amongst other issues.. even with proper lighting (following your previous tutorials on that). I'm curious if this one works better in different rooms with different lighting conditions, and specially with LED lights and whatnot in the background.
In fairness, I have background blur for work video meetings because I frequently have sensitive stuff on my white board and would rather not go "is that blurry enough". Just crank it.
So these seem very good and cost effective, I myself have had the Original Insta360 Link for about a year and a half now and still love it! The software and firmware keeps updating and has never failed me. There are some tweaks to help with the original but as far as moving a lot with the motion, yeah that does happen it just goes off on it's own and sticks lol, luckily I don't move that often and works 99% of the time. Great quick simple and technical review of the successors! If I didn't have the original, I def would have gotten the link 2!
Besides the physical gimbal, 99% of this can be done for free* with the free NVIDIA Broadcast application for Windows, with ANY webcam. *Free meaning, if you have a 2xxx or newer RTX NVIDIA graphics card. The app has industry-leading AI stuff like noise isolation, auto-panning/tracking, background replacement, etc. I use it with my old DSLR on a static tripod (CamLink 4K input) and with my Logitech C922 $40 webcam.
I love my insta360 link.. I don’t think to be upgrading but it is impressive.. I also love the updated of the software and the feature to save the position and show like a screen shot of that position instead of a number or a name like before
This is the best review because you demonstrate the difference, especially in movement tracking. I almost bought the Link, but thanks to you, I chose the Link 2.
I think the insta360 link 2c is better for the details, like the texture of the skin, than the meet 2. For the difference of price between these two webcam, I would buy the insta360
For those wondering, the insta 2 and 2c can do 4k 30, 1080p 60 and lower and 720p 60 and lower and 360p 30 lower. I would only get this Webcam if it had 4k 60fps. 30fps looks like trash, especially in low light situations. I like to have themed lighting without having to blast lights, like for horror games and other moody scenarios. I guess I would like to see if the 1080p quality beats the razer kiyo non light edition. Because I find it to be the best looking 1080p 60fps Webcam on the market.
6:22 I was in a my first Zoom call on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, a couple weeks ago. The other callers asked me about my blurred background. I eventually found the setting, and it was turned in by default -I don’t mess with the settings in Zoom at all; I just don’t care that much. It was a switch, just on or off, not a variable setting. I haven’t looked for it on an iPad or on my MacBook, though.
So the question becomes which looks better the Insta360 Link 2C ($149) or the OBSBOT Meet 2 ($129)? Both are 4k 30 fps / 1080 60fps, 1/2" sensor, f1.8, cameras with similar FOV (79.4-79.5). The biggest differences I see, in the specs, are the ISO ratings (Insta 100-3200 and OBSBOT 100-6400) and shutter speed (Insta 1/8000-1/30s and OBSBOT 1/6400-1/30s)
Great video!!! The gimbled version seems like a pretty good deal, and the gimble specific features seem like a marked upgrade; though the $150 version is overpriced. Would love to see you compare it to the Anker C310, with has all the same features, but for $99(or less on sale).
I’ve been wondering how this compares to the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite considering both are newer gimble webcams of a relatively similar price and quality. Anyone know which is more worth buying?
I need to see this sensor up against the one in the OBSBOT Tiny 2, it came out a year ago but I still feel it's a better product. But I haven't seen anyone really comparing the two
Agreed that this new freeze picture is amazing. One thing you did not review at all was the actual camera hardware; looking at the specs there were no improvements there at all. So this upgrade is mostly all software but it was an awesome camera to start with. Doesn't the Obspot 4k have technically better lens specs? Have been considering the Insta 360 for quite a while but was suspecting its replacement was just around the corner.
Today, when laptops come with built-in cameras and mobile phones can make video calls, I didn’t expect that there is still a market for independent cameras, haha
Great reviews & appreciate your practical discussions about products. Does this work as a USB webcam with RodeCaster Video to be a 5th/6th video source?
With the Desk view mode on the Insta360 v1, I had to mount it on an arm, further past the face of the monitor, and at a 30 degree ish angle towards me. With the v2 lacking the 3rd axis, I wouldn't be able to do the same tilt to improve Desk view mode without messing up the angles on my non frontal presets. anything off center shot would be tilted and not corrected by the 3rd axis like it is on the v1
Wonder if this is worth replacing my older Logitech Brio 4K with. Been feeling the itch for a new webcam between this, the Logitech MX Brio, and the OSBOT Tiny 2
This version is very interesting, but the U.S price jumps from 199$ (184€) to the equivalent of 247$ (229€ taxes included) in France which is way too much even for such a cool webcam.
My main interest is, how is the sound? So I want to use it as a teacher standing in front of for example a beamer. or a blackboard, moving a bit from left to right, near and a bit further away. Will students at home be able to hear me well? Can I plug in an external wireless mic ?
new to cameras so please be kind but will this have any complications with the osbot talent seriously looking to get the osbot but looking into cameras that would work well with it!!
Ok, so how does the picture quality stack up to the FaceCam & FaceCam pro from Elgato? Can we get a comparison video? Looks like I'm not the only curious one. Thanks
I have the 1st version and the 1 thing I dislike about it is when I first am admitted into a Zoom room, it flips horizontally so I have to go in and set it back to horizontal. So dumb. Can't believe they haven't fixed that with a firmware update by now.
Saw your video on the facecam 2 and added it to my wish list then saw this. On Amazon the link 2c is only £10 more than the facecam 2. Would you recommend the extra £10 to get this one instead? Not bothered about the normal link 2 with the gimble as that would be another £50 more again
I’d prefer to have a simple premium lens with real background blur and decent sensor than having mic, gimbal, unnecessary sensors, AI and many non sense software.
after trying lgato facecam mk2... this and meet 2 looks better for same price but elgato looks like less software issues. But after trying the kiyo pro ultra... i can understand how meh it is for $300..
Can’t find any reviews which mention group tracking. When my wife and I zoom together adjusting the camera is a pain and auto focus on the original doesn’t focus on both of us.But nothing in the review about it.

@@panimationXasked the same thing. They are close to same price and features. No one has done a comparison vid yet.
@@panimationX OBS is best RIGHT now but maybe software and EASE of use will help for both, less compression and better lens on OBS
