Amateur radio operators too. I helped build the Park Tools class at a local coop. The director there doesnt like ebikes and wont let them in the building. "They cause fires" so I beat it 10 years ago. He is retiring in November I heard. Ill go back and wrench bikes. Im a damn decent bike mechanic (motorcycle too) and electrician. I probably should start my own business here in Cleveland. I LOVE all the people on bikes! Covid rules for that reason alone. Just bought a Yamaha Wabash RT. cant beat that bike right now for $1700.

glad to see things are working out for you and you found your calling helping the local community with these bikes that no one wants to touch, like you said they might not be a top of the line bike but someone does love it and it might be all they can afford to ride, its still getting them out riding and that's what matters.

This is very much the same things I am experincing. I currently have 3 unfixable ebikes in the shop. The one part is supposed to take 20-30 days to come from China. I hate having bikes sitting around for a month (especially in the busy season), but the ebike world is here now and it's just what we need to do to stay in business. This year should be our 2nd best year on service, just behind 2020.
Yep, and I can't store 20 e-bikes waiting for repair. Not sure what I do at that point.
